@scorecard In case you’re not aware, TOU stands for Time of Usage. This means that electricity is charged at a higher rate (approximately Thb 7 per unit) during peak hours which is from 09:00 to 22:00 hrs weekdays. During off peak hours (22:00 - 09:00 hrs weekdays, all day Saturdays/Sundays/Public Holidays), the rate per unit is about Thb 3. The regular rate for normal households without TOU is about Thb 5 per unit. Anyone can apply to PEA to switch their current meter to a TOU meter but one has to be very careful about electricity usage particularly during peak hours. I did it because my daytime (peak hour usage) is more or less fully covered by solar. When there is no more solar production from around 6 pm (but still peak rates), most of my electrical appliances are powered by my EV’s traction battery. I save about Thb 500 per month by doing this, not much I know but the satisfaction I get is “priceless” lol.

Don’t you go round posting Russian propaganda, you… you.. Putin shill/apologist/troll/propagandist/repeater of talking points… Didn’t you realise that Ukraine launched the mother of all drone attacks recently on Moscow itself with thousands of drones, all of which managed to strike the ground? And their armed forces are doing so well that they are being let off work one week early as mentioned by someone “fighting “ over there.

Back off the envelope calculations: Assuming 15,000 km per annum = 1,250 km per month Assuming a full charge of a 60 kWh battery gives you 400 km That’s 3.125 full charges x 60 kWh = 187.5 kWh Assuming charging loss of 20%, that’s 225 kWh At a rate of 5 baht per kWh, that’s Thb 1,125 per month. Less if you have solar, less if you’re on TOU and charge during off peak hours.

Updates and events in the War in Ukraine 2025
Gweiloman replied to cdnvic's topic in The War in Ukraine
Low level military guys who have spent most of their lives in the army can’t be expected to see the bigger picture or to appreciate the nuances of geopolitics. They have been conditioned to merely accept and follow instructions and not ask questions. They don’t realise that they are nothing more than pawns to be used. We see many examples of this daily on AN, sheeple just repeating the propaganda that Russia plans to invade the rest of Europe after winning in Ukraine lol. They are convinced that Russian soldiers with Chines made shovels and washing machine chips will roll over the mighty EU -

My god, you really never worked in the commercial sector did you? Absolute figures on its own doesn’t tell you anything. As @JBChiangRai had taken great pains in the past to try and explain to you, you need to look at trends and percentages and view these in the light of the whole market. Come back when you have grasped that concept. -
Ukraine must cede territory in peace talks, says US

Putin never expected nor claimed that the conflict would be over in 3 days. That’s just the usual western propaganda hogwash. However, I don’t think he intended for it to last this long either. How long do you think he will be able and willing to carry on until his stated objectives (no NATO membership, neutrality, demilitarisation) are met? As NATO membership is clearly an existential threat to Russia, I don’t see that he has a choice but to carry on to the very end. I’m sure he will continue to get support from the global majority in propping up his economy. After all, it’s also in their interests that the west, especially America, is bogged down in an unwinnable conflict. -

Clearly, you did not have a career in the commercial sector. Where in this post is there a reference to market share as per your initial pos? In fact, in one of your links; That would represent an EV penetration rate of 15.4% in 2024 as weaker demand from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) car sales inflates EV sales as a percentage of the total. EV sales as a percentage of the total is expanding. Quite the opposite to what you were trying to imply. -
Ukraine Backs U.S. Ceasefire Proposal, Awaiting Russian Response
Gweiloman replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The meeting supposedly lasted over 9 hours and In the end, there were just 3 or 4 conditions. Ceasefire along the front lines and cessation of air and marine attacks, exchange of POWS and civilians, return of kidnapped children (lol). These conditions could have been discussed and agreed in 30 mins or so. I wonder what they spent the rest of the time discussing. I wouldn’t be surprised if no NATO membership is one of the hidden conditions. After all, Ukraine had already agreed to this back in March/April 2022 but the promise of continued support made Zelensky walk away from that deal. Now Trump has said no more support and Ukraine has no more cards left to play, thankfully. -

Do you know if this is being reported in western msm? Or will they just simply ignore it so that the sheeple still thinks that their side is winning? -

This is a screwed up post if ever there’s one. You start off by saying that “EV market share isn't increasing to the levels that Chinese EV manufacturers were expecting”. I don’t believe that market share is relevant here. Manufacturers are more concerned with absolute volumes. What’s the point of only selling 100 units and having 90% market share when you can sell 1,000 units with 20% market share? And then you go on to mention ICE ‘s 100% market share. That’s like saying Apple has 100% market share of all iPhones sold. I think most of us have seen through what you are trying to do with your not so disingenuous half truths. -

PR, optics… who knows. What is clear is that it was doomed from the start. Now 7 months later, 20,000+ casualties and tons of ammo and weapons gone. And there are those that still supports the green goblin sending a whole generation of men to die. Russia can’t be defeated militarily. Napoleon tried, the moustached man tried, sleepy Joe tried… -

You are naive to think that any of the global majority nations will stop trade with China. Practically all nations, including the US has acknowledged that Taiwan is part of China and any invasion (which won’t happen unless it tries to secede which it won’t) will just be considered a domestic affair. I doubt that even western nations will boycott trade with China. They are just too dependent.

So, did Zelensky’s trip to the US achieve anything other than to PO the POTUS? -
9% inflation is not too bad. Eggs in America are now considered a luxury item. My daughters in the UK tells me that prices have risen so much that they are even thinking of relocating to Asia. I also heard that prices of electricity have doubled in some Baltic states. My local khao soi shop has increased their price by almost 15%.

Free democratic elections… like cancelling elections in Romania when the wrong candidate is in the lead? Like trying to ban the 2nd most popular party in Germany? Like electing a President who has effectively divided his country in two and threatening to militarily, if needed, to embark on a land grab of what are supposedly allies? Not to mention that keeping the conflict going means continuing martial law = no elections = staying on as President indefinitely. What a great system for dictators.
