I have heard of lap dances and one on one dances.
I think Thailand is a lot like other S Asian countries that are dealing with the new world but still have a culture that has many old world traits that need to be re thought.
Soapies have been around for a long time and it is not just for the foreign trade
Most of the clubs cater to Thais that do not want to have a mistress but want to enjoy a little on the side.

I would suggest that you (oops ) your friend needs to look after a few problems
What visa is he on and how is he going to afford to stay here legally
What can he afford to pay each month
Once the CC finds out me is here they will accept anything reasonable

I am at the 60 zone and fighting both cholesterol and type 2.
My advice
Exercise
I eat a lot of salad and veggies,
Fish and chicken are ok as far as cholesterol is concerned.
Stay away fro processed foods and anything that is white as it has had the crap beat out of it and is not normal.
OH yeah eat in moderation. Unlike what mom told you it is ok to leave food on your plate

OP
I can not say anything about anywhere else but you need to hit Patpong.
Clubs were open until 2 last night and that is the norm for the street.
As to being closed on Wednesday that is not a huge issue. The bars can stay open if they want and quite a few did on patpong. The only catch is that just like the stores they were not allowed to sell liquor.
It is not so much that the bars have to be closed but let's face it with no booze to sell they don't make a lot of money

The issue is not the martial art but who would be instructing it and how the students react to it.
Imagine basketball if the kids just want to throw the ball.
-
Let's see Thai kids can not write Thai, can not do simple math, have no idea about their country, have little ethics and responsibility in their lives but we are going to train them to beat the crap out of each other.
Please do. It just makes it easier for those of us that have schools to get students LOL

Easy to do just set up a computer program for all clubs to check ID? haha you must be joking if you think that is easily accomplished in Thailand. Also if they are under legal drinking age shouldn't the birthday on their ID card sort of be the red flag?
Your idea makes no sense at all.
First before you trash someone maybe have reason and knowledge
Do not just trash.
Many countries have id systems.
a lot of businesses have computer systems that will identify you no matter what store you are in.
As to age I am assuming that you have lived in the boonies all your life and were never young. or been to khaosan rd
Fake idea is plentiful around the world
-
When I was growing up in the stone age the drinking age was 21 in the US and 18 in Canada. Most f us that were 17 knew the risks and took the chances that our fake ID would get us in.
Clubs should be checking for age appropriate ID all all people. Letting a 16 yearold or younger go into a club and party and drink is never a good thing.
Also looking at the maturity leve of most young Thais I would suggest that it should be raised to 30 in clubs if you are Thai so that you have the maturity to take responsibility for your actions.
I would love to know how many in Onyx and these other big clubs are UA.
If I was the general I would do a sweep of RCA on a Friday or Saturday night.
Penalties
Shut down that night for first ofense
Closed for 2 weeks and 1 milion baht for second
Closed of a month and 1 milion baht for 3d
Closed permanenetly for a 4th
OH yeah and closed means closed padlocks on doors no renavating or anything allowed to happen
For the kds
1.000 baht fine and barred from all clubs easy to do just set up a computer program for all clubs to check id
second offence 10,000 o 2 days in jail
3rd offense 100,000 or one week
4th 1 month in jail and permanent ban from all drinking establishments
Drugs over DUI ;eve; Jail and then rehab
not properly licensed CLOSED

Step 1: Implement the already decades old law that physical abuse by teachers is criminal.
Step 2: Allow students to ask questions without being told that they are studid if they do.
Step 3: Get rid of those ridiculous 80 year old hair cuts forced upon public school students.
Before you can remove corp punishment you need parents to teach students respect for not only teachers but also themselves. Students need to learn responsibility and that bad actions are not acceptable.
Students have always been able to ask relevant questions.
The issue is that school curriculum must be tied into what is in the onet and not the crap they teach now.
A simpler solution. Is to copy NYC publish the ranking of each school in ONET. Take away funds from the bottom 10 percent and give the money to the 10 percentile most improved

Who will be your 51% shareholder or do you plan running the 'school' on your own?
Who will be your Thai employees?
That is all looked after I am just trying to get my head around what capital is
The questions you ask although well meaning are not pertinent to my question

sorry starting a business and getting a work permit

How other thann friends in high places do these places stay open. EVERYONE knows that the soapy is a prelude to sex. The spot that blows my mind is the soapy at patpong it is open and flagrant
-
What is considered in the 2 million baht is it all cash or can it be in equipment and property
Ie I have all the computers and furniture purchased and have a house for the school

Unfortunately this story is not uncommon in southern Asia.
People only think of how can they do something and not if it is safe.
From the guys that spread insecticide in their bare feet and no mouth covering to the road side shop that gets electricity by wrapping an extension cord around the hydro line.
There is little if any safety knowledge training of people.
OH yeah my best one was a guy using his toes to hold the copper so he could cut an intricate design with a coping saw.
Unfortunately it is easier and cheaper for businesses to pay if there is an oops than it is to do it the right way. Remember the greatest resource these countries like Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and many ASEAN countries have is people.

I think tht the government is looking at what is done outside the country and adopting those rules.
This is a good idea and should be applauded

your other issue may be a visa and visa extensions.
Suggest you go to a website that has the name ajarn it will give yousome suggestions there are only about 3 TEFL providers that schools are looking for.

Koh Samed has nice beaches and day cruises where you can snorkel with the fish at different islands

How the hell did they get thru the tool booths LOL
To me every toll booth that they would have gone through along with the cops that are at them should be find.
But then again they won't

Maybe the Canadian Embassy is better at looking after us BUT I wonder why do you need an agent to renew your passport it seems very simple at least for us CANUCKS. You fill in the papers get the photos hand in the application photos and your passport as well as the processing fee and you get a call telling you it is ready.
As to the pold passport if it has less than 6 months left there may be an issue.
My suggestion is to forget about tht take the old passport to UK Embassy and get the temporary emergency passport

I must have been born on the right side of the moon.
I met my gf on the internet.
We moved n together as soon as I got here.
Her sister started the you have rich husband routine but grandmother told her to F off as the only time she came was when she needed money.
Explained debt to GF and she got out of it quickly.
Does not want a credit card,
Bought a house with no issues.
We are happy together and she even goes with me when we go to Patpong.
She is a little jealous of my thai masseuse though something about her making me happy.
-
The simplistic solution is to find out how much debt there is. Contact the organizations or banks holding the debt and cancel all access for funds. Have her set up a payment program with the people that she owes.
They are not stupid if she makes a reasonable and continuous payment even if it is small they will leave her alone.
If she gives money or assistance to family in any means stop it that is the money she can use.
Are you responsible for her debt NON BUT
Do you like driving your car, and living in your house?
If the answer is yess then you need think about what you need to do.
Again paying off the debt is not important it is making payments

In BKK Fortunetown seems to be the best. If you are north of BKK then I highly recommend ZEER IT in Rangsit. I have a shop that i use there that looks after all my needs and does so at a very fair and quick price.

I have been here 6 years and never had an issue with my retirement extension. At most it has taken an hour to get it processed in PT. No home visit and the letter that you sign for Canadian Embassy has t have proof of income which i also attach to my extension request.
