No mention of permanent residents, who do not need to transfer money from abroad.

Readers may be interested to look into usafruct agreements if you have a Thai spouse. I read abou it on this site many years ago. Buy in his/her name, sign an usufruct agreement and have full rights to live in and use the property for the rest of your life. More reasonable, I think.

I'd love to know more about this!

I saw an advert on shopee from a seller in petchabun  cant remember the name as I live in Surin and didn't pay that much attention  but as well as their mail order business they also gave directions to the shop which sounded like it was at least near to the town center and encouraged people to pop in  If I see the ad again I'll let you know

    Thank you, much appreciated.

Trust me, we just added it to hot water, and got seriously vasted with munchies, no preheating at all.

Yes, it works for me too, in coffee or ginger tea.
Had a coffee with added herb at 4pm.
Halfway down a cup of ginger tea, at 5:20 pm and I'm off my face! Put equivalent to what I'd use in a spliff in each cup, and gave it a good stir - bob's your uncle!

An idelic life style, but this thread is about saving money.

The cost of setting up your mini farm etc would be an investment with a payback time of:-

    • Five years for off grid.
    • Never for home gym.
    • Twenty or more years for the farm.
    • Fruit, fish and egg range from six weeks to five years.
    • Sheep would be difficult to impossible in Thailand.

    Stop drinking?

From reading this forum for a few years I would say that is an addiction which many would find difficult to break.

Have to disagree on the home gym. If used regularly, it will pay back more than money can buy, in good health. Huge potential savings on medical expenses. Use mine every day, one of the best buys I ever made.

No, the US backed down and agreed to remove their weapons from Turkey. Then Russia responded in kind by removing theirs from Cuba.

    But back on topic.

    Use Tea bags multiple times.

Wear only shorts and no tops outside. When at home walk around naked to save on laundry.

Grow vegetables on the balcony or back garden and keep a pig. Take a slice of meat off the pigs back every day, this will eventually heal so you have an everlasting pig. Grow a beard to save on blades. Swim in the sea or complex pool to avoid paying for showers.

Walk everywhere or get an old bicycle

I'll take your word for it - I was only a boy!

Seriously, Russia was not a threat to anyone until the USA kept pushing closer and closer to their borders with weapons, someone mentioned it was adjoining countries joining NATO or something like that.

The above said, I wonder how the USA would respond if Russia started moving its weapons to neighbouring countries almost on the USA's borders ?

I would imagine all it would take to stop this war is for the USA to back off, but that isn't going to happen just yet as there is a lot of money being made around the world while the masses start to suffer, not to mention the Ukraine's, and for what, security from Russia invading them, well, I didn't see Russia invade them before the USA kept inching closer and closer.

Not being one to get into politics, but it's pretty plain to see how this all unfolded with lots of warnings from the Russians that they would go in if they didn't back off, so provoke the sleeping giant and make money once again.

They did, in the Cuba missile crisis of 1962. Probably the closest the world came to nuclear war. The Russians backed down, in the end.
Don't forget Russia had already annexed Crimea a few years ago.
