My own advice would be, make sure your intended has a full time job as you must make it clear you will not be helping her parents, brothers or sisters etc financially. Being teetotal I cannot comment on the whisky, but yes, you are right about the food but just finished a flight to and back from the UK and was following a post about food on the plane and had to get my oar in. It is so easy to drift a bit off topic, I think we all do that at times, but thanks for your output.

Worst flight company for food is KLM by a long way. I have travelled regularly with just about every flight company over the last 20 years. That is my experience.

A slight change in topic here. Will I be able to get funds transfers to Wise from my UK bank if I change from my Bangkok bank and recieve the funds to my Krungthai bank account instead, or will I just get a lot of hassle?

I have had instant transfers for years without any problems, but not any more it seems.
