  1. A year ago met a very cute little miss and we hit off from the very first night. Bought her a few things for her dump of a room but no cash asked for. Things started to get more serious in a short time then came the "demand" for monthly salary of 45,000 a month. For that she would come stay with me most of the time but wanted to keep her room and go back stay sometimes. I just said I would not pay that even if I could afford it. So she just said she would go back to working at bar to which I said good luck ad that was the end. During the short relationship red flags were raised and I found out later she was visiting other men at same time.
  2. I would think raping 1 in court be extremely difficult let alone 10
  3. Yes, hot season in getting close.
  4. I was in Chiang Rai at the time of the fire and saw smoke from hotel. Went for a walk to see damage. First photo is from Google street view before fire. IMG_5777.mp4
  5. Never use COD which prevented 1 scam as parcel was being delivered as COD. Never lost a package in many years. Hardly ever signed, only for Thai post registered. I had a parcel delivered by courier other day and on the tracking website it had a "Signed proof" box. I never signed but there was a "D" in that box online after delivery. I live in a fairly secure gated community and had a few parcels left with no losses. I try to be home when deliveries planned.
  6. There is no such thing as 12am or 12pm. It's 12 midday or 12 midnight. One reason 24h time was created to prevented confusion. From Google :- AM and PM are abbreviations used to indicate the time of day. AM stands for ante meridiem, which is Latin for "before midday". PM stands for post meridiem, which is Latin for "after midday".
  7. There are ways of doing almost anything in Thailand.
  8. Took an ex to a popular cosmetic surgery hospital (production line) in Bangkok to have eyelid surgery. Now don't ask why but she is from Myanmar and has an old ID plus in the process of getting a Thai ID. On enquiry she showed her Thai (partially) ID and was quoted a price. We booked the op and went to Pattaya for a few days. Now when she was checking into the hospital she showed her Myanmar ID, why I don't know. The lady checking her in said not Thai so 30% more charge than quoted. I said why it's the same eyes. She then said if it was me (farang) it be 50% extra. So I just told my ex we will do in Chiang Mai and left.
  9. I once tried to post a Ledger Nano X to Oz. It was packed ready to post. It does have a battery although very small. Post office response was can not, battery. Ok. So I cheated and took in a Nano+ which does not have battery and this model has a clear plastic case. Told post office staff similar in package (wasn't lying). They looked at the + and said battery. I said no battery in this. He looked and asked how to turn on. I said needs to be plugged into computer to get power. He talked to other staff an realised could not win on battery he said can not has circuit board. I left. I then took a Thai friend to another post office and in a few minute accepted and posted.
  10. Why worry about what other people spend? Concentrate on your own finances and you might be happier. Then again if you are a CC, maybe you will never be happy.
  11. One in Hang Dong. https://maps.app.goo.gl/bdvNkpjsCFtiinfj6
  12. To be honest I was so peed off I didn't think to do that. Plus I have learned being here 11 years Thais don't like complaints by us farang.
  13. My Honda was flooded at home during last floods in Chiang Mai. I contacted my insurance company who took it away for 3 weeks to be cleaned, dried and repaired where necessary. When it was returned everything seemed ok. After a short time both electric windows on passenger side stopped working and the drivers window auto function worked intermittently. The other day I went into a Honda dealer to the service department. There were 2 guys sitting at desks playing with their phones and didn't bother looking up, the cashier and a "greeter". Greeter asked me what I wanted and I asked if a service agent could speak english. She pointed to one and he just indicated to the cashier. She mumbled something and the greeter said to the guy you speak english. He reluctantly looked at me. I had a photo of car in the flood in hope it may make it easier . I showed him photo and without asking anything he just said "next year" I tried to explain had been repaired by insurance company garage and it was only 2 windows not working. "Next year". Btw this was on the 6th. I asked what no service until next year and again he said "next year". I just turned around and walked off with another "next year". So with 25 days left in the year no more service. Possible but hard to believe. There were no other customers in service department at the time. Normally this Honda dealer is very helpful but one lazy agent can ruin their reputation
  14. Not sure if there is any way of checking ledger for tampering. Yes. Most of my crypto were bought via an Australian Exchange. All on Ledger. Some I transfer back to Oz exchange and sell and some here.
  15. Reasonably happy. I have completely run out of assets other than crypto and been selling some lately to stay afloat. I had 80,000 XLM and now down to 30,000 and they came up better than XRP. I still have a reasonable amount of XRP so here's hoping. I use Ledger cold hardware wallets. I have a Nano X and also a S+. I have an as new Nano X for sale in Australia. Long story on that one. I have found them to be reasonably easy to use but admittedly I have not used other hardware wallets. Some people are under the impression that your crypto is stored on the device, they are not, it's only your crypto keys that are stored on it. The seed phrase is a multi word (24 in my case) set of words that is provided by the device when you set it up. Those words need to be recorded and kept in a safe place. If you lose or destroy your device you can buy a new one and enter the seed phrase and bingo its as it was before. If you lose the seed phrase and something happens to the device you are up the proverbial creek without a paddle. People say this is bad. It's the same thing if you have an exchange account and your crypto (keys) are stored there. If the exchange goes away so are you keys thus your crypto. I prefer to have mine on my device rather than an exchange. I transfer to an exchange when I want to sell. Even though I have one for sale, it is recommended to buy direct from Ledger in France. People have resold devices after being modified to steal your keys after you load it up. I have found Ledger to be very helpful and the one I have for sale was a replacement and posted to my original address. Message me direct if you need to know any more as I will help where I can.

  17. I once took 2 "ladies" home from a bar. We all got undressed and I thought I had won the lottery - 6 matching balls.
  18. I call it the "Christmas Hold" - a hand full of nuts.
  19. I live in Chiang Mai and its amazing the number of Myanmar girls who work in bars which is also illegal. I have not encountered any in massage, but then again, I don't ask them.
  20. Unless its a reverse cycle AC the it is an evaporator in cooling mode and a condenser in heating mode.
  21. The later ones I saw in Oz were. This causes a problem with heat dissipation.
  22. Inverter units are very susceptible to electrical spikes. When they first started being sold in Australia they were also found to be very susceptible to geckos and mice running and peeing on the unprotected circuit boards.
