Not Really! Acquiesce is wrong.
In 2003 Thailand contributed 447 non-combatant troops to coaltion forces in Iraq. Thailand withdrew their troops in 2004, after two men were killed by a car bomb. Including nations which have already withdrawn forces, Thailand is the 12th largest contributor of troops to coalition forces in Iraq.
1. USA 150,000
2. UK 12,000
3. Italy 3,169
4. South Korea 2,800
5. Poland 2,500
6. Ukraine 1,400
7. Netherlands 1,345
8. Romania 700
9. Japan 750
10. Denmark 496
11. Bulgaria 485
12. Thailand 447
SO is chuckie...
Bodgey figures these plucked from ???, even taking into account that they're 4 years old...,
Rightly or wrongly there's a lot of aussies (about 1400 at last count) serving in Iraq, and they were actually the first troops to deploy into the country, and capture Iraqie assets and pow's.

Stuart Clark must be rooting Hilditch's missus, it's bamboozling that they can leave him out.

He will be working the reception area. This entire concept just blows me away... I can't see a single benefit for the employer, in fact the opposite. TIT

Yeah well apparently this hotel return the baht when you finish working.
So if you stay 10 years... you wait 10 years to get it back...
To me this seems like too much temptation for a thai worker, who knows that almost a months salary is there for the taking... all he/she has to do is QUIT!!
-
This one confounds me... is it true that a thai person needs to pay their new emoployer 10 000 baht before they can start working.
This refers to a posh (not too posh) hotel, and doesn't include health checks, uniform etc etc
Or am I being fed a line?

Yeah, Tiger are currently conducting an online poll as to which cities should be added to their stable. I for one truly believe Townsville MUST HAVE access to Asia. (160 000 population) <deleted>.

I am surprised by one commentator's complaint about seats as I was pleasantly surprised on how comfortable they were and I didn't notice any less legroom that on a normal carrier, but then again I thought their Star Class fares were over-priced with what you got. Video on demand was adequate, but the battery apparently only lasts 6 hours so be warned. The food though on my flight is overpriced so I would avoid it.
NOTE: They have a strict limit of 20 kgs so if you are carrying 30 kgs+ then you should also stick to a normal airline as the excess baggage costs are quite high.
I agree, the Star Class seats WERE over-priced for what they were. If you had actually travelled Star Class, then you wouldn't have been at all surprised by my complaint about the complete LACK of leg room... Unless you're a child or a dwarf.

I have flown Jetstar's MEL - BKK route in Star Class and it was pitiful, no leg room, poor service, dead batteries in all their headsets, same old crappy movies on their handheld video units. I felt very sorry for those crammed into economy.
Seriously, there is little or NO money to be saved by flying with them.
If flying from Australia, have a sniff around at http://www.bestflights.com.au where for example, you can fly BNE - BKK economy with Thai air, and then return BKK - BNE in BUSINESS CLASS with Thai air for 36000 including taxes (departures up until March 29).
If you are prepared to look around, you will never need to endure the second rate services of Jetstar International (Australia).
PS This is no reflection on Jetstar Asia who I also used and found to be very reasonable.

You're finally starting to get it.You mean like the rugby World cup final?:D
:D

Thank god the poms finally won one. Even aussies love an underdog, but I wager that's the last bone to be thrown in this 2006/07 Summer of english humiliation.

FTR: I found out "bols" is Dutch Genever (aka Dutch GIN).
-
It's called "charity"
-
I'd buy her a micro-recording device.
-
A TIP: Don't waste your money on Jetstar's "star-class" if legroom is what you're wanting.
Also the service/attention is far less then you can get on any decent International carrier in economy.
Don't say you weren't warned.

Try the Regency Park, the location is spot on for shopping and access to BTS. Nice place to stay for around $60 aussie dollars... Regency Park Sukhumwit Soi 22

KLM give you a delf pottery filled with Bols!!!!
Hmmm I have just flown BKK to TPE Biz with KLM, and found them great. I also got given the little Delf pottery thingy... but <deleted> is a "Bols"?
PS KLM Fly the 747-400, the seats recline 150 degrees, food is nice, entertainment is fine, and service is good too.
Take a look at the SEAT MAP KLM 747-400
