Truly, a case of the truth hurts. I still don't understand why the Cambodian PM hasn't been charged by the international courts, for genocide, as he was a member of the Khmer Rouge.

Such a heinous crime, Thailand can sleep, feeling safe in the thought the army and police are protecting them, truly, a band of heroes. cough cough

What a crock of rubbish. I have seen so much rot. Suicide is suicide, yes even in Australia. The only thing Australians have a strange relationships with is idiocy. You seem to have a very good grasp on that.
RIP to the young man and condolences to the family.
You are so very WRONG, many are reported as death by misadventure, and in WA they are often reported as a police incident, or if by train, rail incident, in oder to reduce copycat deaths.

- What a ridiculous statement (second sentence).... Most all homicides are found alone.... Which is why every death, especially were the body is found alone, should be treated as a homicide, until proven otherwise
I was referring to "suicides", as per the first part of my comment. Geez, some people will only take part of a comment simply to argue. READ the whole bloody comment, then take it in the correct context.

A lot of the farang suicides here happen when the deceased is alone.
I don't understand the reluctance - certainly on the part of the rank and file TV forum membership - to accept that Westerners coming/living here can be unhinged or just plain old, batshit crazy.
Maybe they believe that the Western (white) tourist/(s)expat's life must be so wonderful, so idyllic that he or she couldn't possibly want to end his or her own life and that, if he or she comes to a sticky end, a local must be at the centre of it.
Sorry but, judging by the state of the farang trainwrecks I see every single day wandering around or pickling their livers in Bangkok, I'm surprised many more aren't in the morgue.
I didn't say "all"? You seem to have miss-read my comment.

There are mourning family members reading this and you have the bloody nerve to bring up ladyboys.
I've been here over 30 years and haven't seen many such circumstances with such people yet you sat you have. How many deaths exactly have you seen with ladyboys present? Do you live in Thailand at all?
Read and understand my comment, you have taken one part of it without understand the full context. As for a growing number of family reading this, prove it, also read my other comment regarding family/friends reading Thaivisa, many would never have heard of this site, those that have should know what to expect. Please note, I never suggested the young lad was with a ladyboy, this seems your assumptiom, to make it easier, for you, I was simply pointing out that, unlike some posts, it might not be suicide, and how strange, in many cases, there is someone else present. Best you understand what you are reading before getting angry and replying.

Including your own, saying, "girlfiends/katoeys" - absolutely uncalled for and totally ignorant.
Why?

In Western Australia it is often reported as a "police/railway incident."

To all you horrible people commenting rude stuff you are so disrespectful. This man is my cousin and was very loved by so many people. You have no bloody right!
I would respectfully suggest you, and the deceass family/friends, do not read Thaivisa, having posted here I would suggest you would be aware of the dribble that is posts.

So many comments referring to "suicide" where do you get this idea, it certainly isn't mentioned in this story. One thing I have noticed, so many deaths when a "girlfriend/katoey" is present, few happen when guys are alone.

Why isn't she complaining about being "photoshopped" on FHM?

So many people are still getting less than the current "minimum" wage, so just how many will get this new "minimum" wage given it is not guaranteed or enforced.

You all missed the fact the kid didn't say who his father is, good on the kid, but I do wonder that if he had, would we have this story. I still recall one copper getting blasted by some high ranking dick, who'd been pulled over, who the cop didn't recognise. This dick wasn't chastised or penalised.

If the "government" has done more, than the previously "elected" government, then I would have thought the list of achievements, for the "grassroot" people would have been more than one item, though the "channelled" money probably wasn't channelled to the right people. No-one, I know, is any better off.

Designed by thI, for thai, not for fat farang. Perso ally, I'd be avoiding the place, at least until centre management move their office to "That's Siam" area.

Wouldn't it be wiser to "know" what caused the crumbling before patching it over. Pity no photos of the "repairs" what are they hiding? I guess with tne governor is to "inspect" the site this is to show it is safe, will all stancheons be removed.... will he shop there in the future, or advise his friends and family to avoid the place.

Time for some "attitude adjustment" for the UN. It must irritate the ju ta that they can't silence everyone and that everyone doesn't believe them.

Look closely at the photo, and see Thailand's future, maybe present, the non Thai looking person, has China already "invaded" Thailand, the same Thailand never colonised by another nation. Colonised by stealth.

"He insisted that the government still respects and adheres to the International Convention on the rights of the people and political rights, press freedom," bur in the previous paragraph threatens anyone whose personal opinions may transgress Thai law, you know, those laws the prohibit free speech, that does not support the junta's view. Someone, in the UN needs to drop the politically correctness and inform Thai that the world does NOT believe it and laughs at its government.

I hope the police arrested the monkey ring leader and sent him to attitude adjustment school...
There were no monkeys point at the ring leader, unlike thais, monkeys don't dob in their mates.

Since then, IOTWS Regional Tsunami Service Providers comprising data from Australia, India and Indonesia tsunami-warning networks have been the principal source of tsunami advisories for the Indian Ocean."
I wonder why Thailand's "highly respected" system is not mentioned... wait, could it be that the othe systems actually work. SHAME again on Thailand, showing again they just don't give a sh#t about safety.

How long before they renege

Go Java, that's what many Android smartphone/tablet apps are based on.
Whatever language you go for, good luck in getting a Thai to understand variables, functions, arrays etc most simply don't have this understanding.
