Good to see some locals taking the initiative here.
In this case the mangroves were destroyed by nature, and man is helping to restore them.
To often they are destroyed by man, for what? Yet another resort or similar.
We will reap what we sow... it's only a matter of time.

Dying on the democratic battlefield? Such figurative bravery.
In the mean time ordinary Thais are really dying every week as a result of she and her brother clinging to power like the dictators they are.

Good to see the PTP have so much faith in their dear leader.
Still, I would like to see Chalerm, renowned for his gift of the gab, in a debate with Suthep. Pure comedy.

Game Over
Wrong, it'll never be over, ... Coup and then what???? another ambush attack for the hardcore redshirt leaders and their blind supporters, just another preparation for ANOTHER Battlefield Bangkok in the future,
wanna bet???
You're quite possibly right. There are too many interest groups on all sides with little care other than their own wealth and power.
Having said that, if the Shins can be ousted for good, the situation may get better... say from 'extremely corrupt', to just 'very corrupt'.
Guess lots of you folks dont realy know who this "Suthep" figuere is???
Not here to defend the Shinawatras asthey sure are a corrupt bunch but then lets all gather behind that skum claiming to have the interest of the Thai people at hart????? 55555555555555 its from extreme corrupt to even more extreem corrupt its actualy just a geographical change from the North Corrupt to the South corrupt bunch
let me remind some people on who Suthep Thaugsuban really is.....
from Wikipedia so no secrets here
Suthep Thaugsuban (Thai: สุเทพ เทือกสุบรรณ; RTGS: Suthep Thueaksuban, [sù.tʰêːp tʰɯ̂ːak.sù.ban]) (born 7 July 1949, Tha Sathon, Phunphin District, Surat Thani Province) is a Thai politician and former Member of Parliament for Surat Thani province. Until 2011, he was secretary-general of the Democrat Party and a deputy prime minister under the unelected Abhisit Vejjajiva Democrat-led government. He resigned his seat in Parliament in November 2013 to become the self-appointed Secretary-general[3] of the People's Democratic Reform Committee,[4]
1995 to present corruption scandal
As part of the Sor Por Kor 4-01 (สปก.4-01) land reform scheme, Suthep gave title deeds to 592 plots of land in Khao Sam Liam, Kamala and Nakkerd hills of Phuket province to 489 farmers. It was later found that members of 11 wealthy families in Phuket were among the recipients. Suthep addressed a huge crowd in his Surat Thani constituency a month before a no-confidence debate and called on his supporters to march on Bangkok in the hundreds of thousands to defend his reputation.[5] The scandal led Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai of the Democrat Party to dissolve the House of Representatives in July 1995 in order to avoid the no-confidence debate.[6] In subsequent elections, Thai Nation Party won a majority, leading to the downfall of Chuan Leekpai's Democrat Party-led government.
Wikileaks diplomatic cables from the US embassy revealed that many members of his own party have long complained of his corrupt and unethical behavior.[
2009 disqualification as MP
In 2009, Suthep was accused of violating the Constitution of Thailand by holding equity in a media firm that had received concessions from the government. Under the 1997 Constitution of Thailand, which Suthep had supported, Members of Parliament are banned from holding stakes in companies which have received government concessions. In July 2009, the Election Commission announced that it would seek a ruling by the Constitutional Court to disqualify Suthep.
Suthep held a press conference a day later, announcing his decision to resign from Parliament. Suthep's resignation as an MP did not affect his status as a Deputy Prime Minister and as a Cabinet member. If his case had been submitted to the Constitution Court, he would have been suspended from duty as Deputy Prime Minister. He insisted his resignation was not a proof that he had done anything wrong but that he was worried about status as Deputy Prime Minister.[10]
Oh no, I am fully aware that Suthep is fully corrupt, and of his past history. Thaksin takes it to a whole new level though. Which I why I wrote from 'extremely' to 'very'.
I consider Suthep to be a blunt instrument needed to get a job done. He is hardly the national hero that some people make him out to be. In all fairness, he has said he has not interest in leading Thailand. I hope he sticks to his word.

I am sure if the Shins stepped out of the political limelight people would be happy to leave them alone.

Disgusting and disgraceful actions by these morons. She is no longer married to Thaksin and probably only tied to the extended family because she gave birth to his children. By all means protest against the government and politicians but leave other people alone you bloody animals.
You seriously believe that? The only reason she divorced him was to avoid scrutiny and legal implications of numerous shady deals. Get your head out of the sand.

To put it bluntly, I doubt any of the 'stakeholders' in Thailand give a toss what she or the EU have to say. Not until their opinion has any effect on their purses or other personal real world repercussion.

So the (pro PTP) government CMPO is telling anti-government protesters to stay home? What a surprise.
They've been issuing the same message in varying guises since the protests began.
Can't imagine what their motives are.

Chalerm has to be an undercover PDRC agent. Seriously, every time he opens his mouth he helps the opposition.

Bunkers like this have been around Krung Kasem road, Ratchadamnern , in the government house / nang lerng area for quite some time. Not exactly sure what they do in there except hang out all the time. They all usually have one each of those trucks parked nearby too. And of course, the sandbags have camaflouge over them, 555.
Of course they have camouflage. How else will they blend in with all the trees in Bangkok?

Why aren't all Thai politicians like this guy? He writes random stuff about cats and still manages to come across more sensible that all the rest.
And then there is this...
“I was disappointed to hear that. Because investment means more job opportunities and revenues to the country. Investors' confidence is important, and our neighbors are pulling investors to their countries. I hope the turmoil ends soon otherwise it could affect the economy greatly."
...so much common sense coming from one politician, my head may just well explode.

The People's Red Democratic Dictatorship Of Thailand.

1. Unless there is absolutely no rice left of exportable quality, why aren't they at least trying to sell it? All efforts are going into borrowing money. I feel we have only seen the tip of the iceberg in relation to corruption in this scheme.
2. Who in their right mind would want to buy these bonds anyway?

So a difference of approx -60 Billion Baht, or -2 Billion US$. That's a lot of cash.

Organising trips to the North and North East? So instead of solving the problems in the other parts of the country, she is going to her strongholds. This will only create further division... those who feel cheated will now feel ignored, and those who love her will do so all the more.
A selfish act by people desperate to hang on to power, no matter what the cost.

Oh do shut up Poo. Just stand down before you do any more damage to the country.... and get yourself in more hot water. Every time you open your mouth these days you do nothing but you come across as a pathetic whinger. You are Prime Minister in name, and nothing more.

Reuters reporting today that singtel to take over shares, interesting timing, was on nations twitter feed earlier.
best service provider? I have 3G package with them, always on H, rarely if ever do i see 3g. Always cuts out near siam to silom when streaming anything...
Sent from my LG-P970 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
H is faster than 3G.
It goes in this order, from slowest to fastest.... G, E, E+, 3G, H, H+, and finally LTE/4G

PTT is controlled by his family and friends. There is no way you can buy petrol in Thailand without supporting them thanks to PTT's monopoly.
By the way, the UNSUBSIDISED price of 95 unleaded is currently 27 Baht per litre in Malaysia (20 Baht per litre with subsidy), compared to 41 Baht per litre in Thailand.

A pinecone. No, wait, wait, a turd wrapped in a blue sweater. Hmm, perhaps a hand grenade with blue tape to hold the release lever down, in a plastic bag?
