  1. MSNBC is partisan but it does largely deal with fact. Fox is just hyperbole, conjecture, speculation, willful ignorance, pandering and lies by deceit and omission.

The entire charade is written and crafted by lawyers. Many of the newsreaders are lawyers.

Maybe Trump can get things back on the right track. Good to see Hillary fizzling out.

Maybe Trump can get things back on the right track? Maybe you should turn the TV off or at least change the channel.

    Trump? Right track?

You have to admit...it would be interesting.

  3. My wife has only gained 2 kg in six years, but that was when we were much more active as well. I get on her to lose it but to no avail. Getting back to 39kg not so ez lol.

She is not a big eater, but she is a healthy eater. Rarely picks like so any Thai women. Cleans every piece of rice from her plate in most situations.

Really, really don't find fat women attractive.

She must be only like 4 ft. tall.

  4. "Reading this forum for the last couple of years it seems weighed down with people urging others not to have kids here and to run for their lives should any Thai female show any interest in marriage and kids. However there rarely appears to be an explanation of why one should be so fearful of Thai women. I have found Thai ladies away from the bar industry pleasant, courteous and generally good-hearted. Obviously there are exceptions to every rule but Thai girls are not really that different from women back home."

Way easier to have kids in Thailand are retain your assets, than to have kids in the west and retain your assets.

I would say go for it, BUT minimize her chances of making an asset grab.

So no buying a house in her name for cash.

(House in her name with home loan in her name, or condo in your name, or just rent)

I have a 4 year old son and it's great.

No need to spend vast amounts of money, hospital and health care free, school almost free, fairly safe environment, he's out in the road on his bike every day with all the other 4yos.

Now that you share a kid, is having a house paid for regardless of name on title not a good idea?

  5. Not everyone is as obsessed with sex as you. Certainly not everyone sees Thailand as some sort of sex playground.

Also, those who came here for the women seem to be foremost among the negative posters. Those who came here because they like the place seem a lot happier.

I just read the Ashley Madison story. clap2.gif Seem is the operative word because it's not fact. I know everyone is here for the brilliant government, safe centers of worship, magnificent education institutions, pristine beaches, wholesome food and polite driving customs.wai2.gif

More of the kind of cynicism that drags this place down.

One man's cynicism is another man's reality.

  6. I agree that we rely on the medical professionals to advise us of the needed shots for our kids too much. But, my 3 yr. old has all her shots given at the private hospital where she was born. I feel better about the vaccines from there than I would taking her to a free clinic. At least at the Private hospital the medicine is handled by paid professionals. There's absolutely nothing free in this world.

  7. I'm sure everyone from time to time posts negatively on here. What's wrong with posters sharing their views? I thought that was what this is all about. Having a rant shouldn't be looked down upon...laughed at..yes but, it shouldn't be censored or condemned. It's what makes this entertaining. It also seems poppa bear allows some to go above and beyond the "rules"

  8. I'm in awe of his plastic bag policy at the moment,it's ingenious.

So you don't think limiting the use of plastic bags is a good thing?

    I think it's a fabulous idea.

BUT let's start with the facts, most Thai people in rural areas have no refuse collection per se.

So the daily ritual at 5 pm of burning plastic bags and household waste continues to this day.

If his lordship said he was going to ensure that all household waste from the nation will be collected at least weekly for free, and the waste was separated and recycled accordingly creating thousands of jobs and building recycling plants nationwide I would agree.

But the prohibition of banning the nation from using plastic bags for one day a month seems like the holy grail to some but it is one step ahead of its time.

In a country which continually struggles with water resources and such it's a nice idea but I'm not being fooled by these token gestures.

Nah, First burn is in the morning with first cup of coffee. Be nice of have garbage service. The art of compost is unheard of, everything burns.

  9. I think yor mate should consult some experts/ child psychologist how to proceed ...the case is quite difficult.

May you can keep us updated how the process is because I think this case is not unique here...

It is not unique here. A friend of mine married a Thai lady with a 6 year old son who had been raised in Issan by his Grand parents. Not sure of every thing he did but for hygiene he made him take a bath every day. At first he would force the kid into it by taking one with him and washing him. Eventually the boy learned that he was going to take one every day like it or not. So he started doing it himself. I believe he would actually cut his food for him and hold his hands on the utincils until the boy learned to do it himself. He was not allowed to eat with his hands. Patience and tolerance were the main key.

Not sure of how he broke the boy of every thing but he did use love, patience and tolerance. It paid off in less than a year.

First, never seen a bath tub in any house in Issan. Showers only. Secondly if he's taking a bath with a 6 yr. old boy <deleted>

Been staying in Issan for 8 yrs and I've never used a knife to eat with. The problems aren't with the kid, theyre with the farang.

the fact that you felt the need to take exception to the notion of an adult male teaching a 6 year old how to clean himself speaks far more unfavorably to your character (and perhaps upbringing) than to that of the fellow in question.

Funny stuff on here, thanks for the laughs. There's anguish on here over how a kid holds a fork, let the little bugger take a shower like they're used to. Control freaks come to mind.

  11. Blackfox, sorry I didn't get back sooner, I was looking for dead people to help, but couldn't find any. Listen mate you can come and visit me anytime you want here in Isaan. I never turn away anyone in need. I am sure you won't mind coming here, after all you can afford it. Maybe come in your private helicopter, there are plenty of open fields for it to land. And please bring your wife, pictures don't prove anything, she can have a conversation with my wife in anyone of the 5 languages she speaks, though I'm pretty sure you will have to go out and find a wife first. See you anytime.

I'm always in for a party........First box of leo is on me.
