  1. who like to have a living room full of gadgets to spend 7 hours a day (average USA TV user) to watch stupid advertising. this is the life style in the USA. it s so boring there.

I m sorry for these farangs who come to thailand and try to have the same kind of life style (the American dream) and then complain again.

Have you stopped taking your meds again?

  2. I have traveled and lived in many places , USA, Europe and now thailand. be "international" minded is not for everybody . majority of people, especially the US guys , want stay in their US home. I have heard some US guys saying "I can not stay away more than 2 weeks from my town, after that I become home sick " (the guys came from a shit lost place in the middle of the USA. )

the other thing I have noticed, US people come to Thailand, but when you say something bad about the USA, they are very upset and moderator ban us (USA moderator of course wink.png) . if USA is sooooo

much better, take your bag and go home, nobody force you to stay in Thailand . the mafia IRS and the US government is welcoming you back, think all these taxes they will take from your pocket for their little drones used for a good kill ! is that not awesome?you pay anyway on your worldwide income so better to stay in the USA.

so go home dude, just go home and have a happy long life in front of your UHD TV and your big fridge filled with beers and frozen food. maybe some half ton fat Chicks will become your girlfriend or wife . God bless america!

for my part, I don't pay tax on my worldwide income which make my life tax free as I m taxed on residence(no residence = no tax report =no tax = f.... u all! smile.png ) . for us life is good in thailand but I understand the pain that US people have to go through. I'm so sorry for you that you were born on the wrong side of this planet but you got the government you deserve.

    Gotta love that.

Seeing US women on tv all the time with the Baltimore riots etc it's a wonder that some of them can walk at all.

I'm glad you feel that way, hopefully you'll stay away from the US. We have enough foreigners looking for a handout as it is.

  3. lower Sukhumvit has been mostly ruined by people, who are/were good at fraud, but don't seem to know how to run a successful business. I've gone to Nana off and on for 17 years...every time for the last five years; it seems to be at a new low. I've never seen more ladyboys, anywhere.

An increase of ladyboys could mean an increase in German tourists. If it's on the menu someone is ordering.

  4. My favourite noodle dish is a white one with a blue design which I found on a market stall a few years back........ whoops

Phat kee mao, a very hot version of phat see eww which is a famous thai hangover cure. I recommend it without the hangover though.

Excellent choice, usually have mine with seafood

  5. I'm doubtful about those who stated a number below 300 though.

Why doubful ? It's all in datasheets on my computer , I can prove it.

Some of the low numbers given here don't include : soap , shampoo, medication, clothing , shoes, shavingstuff, toiletpaper,....retirement extention & 90 day report costs,....car cleaning & polishing stuff , a little dog & cat foot for the locals, batteries,....

My 185B/day includes everything , but not the rent , like you asked.

Even in the states while working out did not spend 1000 baht a day on food and incidentals. Thats $900 a month. Whats all the money being spent on?

In the States, when I worked there I bought supplies at the big stores once in a while because it was cheaper. When I went to work I took my food with me, never eating lunch out.......why? because over a months time it would add up quickly. The same with popping into a 7-11 for snacks, coffee and such, didn't do it.

But, here in Thailand I do it all the time. The only way to not spend much is to never go to town.

  7. I'm waiting for beach property to offer me a free room and breakfast, so I can contribute to his well being, more directly

After all, I've single handedly riled him the most, and the best......

    Haven't I beachy?

Truely a legend....in your own mind.

  8. 120 bahts a day.

    food

    fuel for scooter

    donation

total around 4000 bahts a month

I never have more than 200 bahts in my pocket really. if you have more, you need to come back to basic and forget your lazy western lifestyle a little. you will lose weight and you will feel free.

it s a win win situation, you will be a better person and in your next life you will get more.(this is my VIP advice)

Standard mantra from broke foreigners who couldn't make it their own country.

  9. because every single guy that sees you...wishes he was you last night.

I'm not so sure about that.

I believe he was merely making a joke, unfair to simply quote part of it.

  10. Thank You to all - All advice duly noted. Last few years I've had the Non- O Multiple entry for doing business in Thailand. This time I didn't want to mess with a visa. Having a ticket excess of 30 days out of country without visa and being turned away at ticket counter would be horrific. Ticket with little charge for changing return dates is a good alternative. I know China Air has a low fee, Right now Eva has good fares and will check their policy.

Your meds are having serious side effects, please see your physician......

  12. Is there a difference between making education choices for a girl vs. a boy? Would you try to talk your daughter out of being a flight attendant, knowing it's not a job for the future. Sometimes kids pick a career choice that probably isn't the best as far as wage earning, but they really like. As a parent it's hard to guide them down the right path without alienating them.

If you have a son then you would want him to have high earning capabilities vs. a daughter where she will probably lean towards being a stay at home mother.

  13. It would be more prudent to prepare your child to earn six figure incomes; to be upper-middle class, rather than simply getting by.

And my point being that your kids attending your average high school and average university won't get the average student that good an income.

Yep, OK if you are sending your kids to Cambridge or Yale but a waste of your life and theirs if you are sending them to Middlesborough Comprehensive followed by Hull University.

6 figure incomes, who the he_ll on TV earned that?

(I made that in Dollars, but only just, in GBP I don't think so.)

And I attended one of the best Universities in the UK and worked for one of the top companies in the UK.

Not to mention wages in the UK and Europe have dropped in the last 10 years.

Don't know about the US, never worked there, don't follow the wages there, can't imagine it's different though.

Try asking the offshore workers and merchant seaman - $100,000 plus a year is common. But, a shoreside job in the USA with 4 yr. degree doesn't guarantee much of a wage.
