  1. Never said that. Mao was responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of Chinese citizens because of the great leap forward and cultural revolution. The man was an appalling creature who I regard with utter contempt.
  2. Or maybe the nationalist govt that was dominated by military elements, the civil wars or the brutality of Japanese occupation and expansion before Japan’s defeat in WW2 drove his family from China and only when they were ended with Mao’s triumph did they feel it was safe to return.

  11. conditions of work change according to circumstances. I teach and there is always a clause in a contract that allows schools to make changes when conditions demand such.

  14. I found many more articles based on research carried out by reputable bodies explaining why they are not safe. I think it's clear to say they are safe is wrong. I never said they weren't safer than cigarettes.

  16. My personal views are somewhat harsh on both smoking and e cigarettes, but that's me. My gripe here isn't the product as such but rather the manner some promote them as being safer than cigarettes but play down the fact they are not really safe as the minister in the OP does.
