Some confusion creeping in here. During the course of a one year extension you may become aware that your current passport will not be valid to accept another full one year extension. You therefore renew your passport and then go along to your IO and ask them to transfer your current extension to the new passport. You are then all set to go for a new full one year extension.

You have been renewing for "several years" yet you still felt you had to call your IMO to check if you can take cash out above the 400,00 baht limit. Words fail me....

Carrying a Swiss Army Knife while in Thailand?
dick turpin replied to lordgrinz's topic in General Topics
Can recall the time, many a year ago, when as a regular business traveller purchased a full on Swiss Army complete with a four inch blade the main purpose of which to take care of cheese and biscuits in my hotel room. But get this, bought it at a dedicated Swiss Army knife shop at Frankfurt Airport....wonder if it is still there. -
UK pension. 13th month payment.
dick turpin replied to norfolkandchance's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
The clocks went back. one hour at the weekend in the UK, so this will have had a fundamental dynamic on the time continuity.....basically everything gets fugged up. -
You paint planes in a new "livery" not flight attendants.

Good to hear and that means my missus wins the argument...thank you so much.

Folks no doubt getting their monthly bills. Notice mine is in the usual format with the final total in a darkened block. But this month has a further blurb below that which shows the newly introduced discount and what the final total is after this deduction. Argument with the missus is that we will still pay the original total and that this discount will be added to the next adjusted bill.

Don't worry HMRC will take its pound and a half of flesh without you having to do anything. Your state pensions will remain tax free of course, they will simply skim off your company pension.

Single use re-entry permit - Timing
dick turpin replied to Chillypom's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If obtained at same time as extension your re-entry permit will be good for the full year. You will now no doubt get a string of posts telling you it is far easier to pick one up at the airport ...but for peace of mind -
Early reporting?? A question
dick turpin replied to Felton Jarvis's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Always bugs me, invariably you report early to cover any issues and but then lose remaining time on your current report. However, when you turn up 30 days early to renew a retirement extension it gets forward dated to the exact renewal date as the previous year, so why not the same for 90 day reports.......answers on a postcard
