I’m on the driver’s side except it was not appropriate to try and force her into the car. That could have got ugly.

I find the prices quite reasonable. Compared to what I pay in Australia they are as cheap as chips. A taxi or Uber to the airport is equivalent to 2000-3000 baht which is way more than the cost of any flight in Thailand.

It doesn’t help when the only rubbish bins are in front of the local 7/11. 
This is a problem throughout Asia and most of the world. 
My worst experience, going back a few years now, was on the highway between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. There was an endless river of plastic either side of the road which I would guess to be metres deep in places

I for one have never met anyone with whom I share the same name so I see this as one of those feel good, if not quite rare, experiences.

Perhaps a little jail time up front as an extra deterrent to him if he is in any way considering a clandestine return. 
First class? A definite no. Perhaps the seat right at the back in front of the toilet with no seat reclining option.
