Closed, I think we all know why.

What he said ^^^
I think you have already answered you own question. Hedging grows so fast here that it requires constant maintenance (with the associated equipment and manpower outlay).
A wall, whilst costing more in the beginning needs no clipping and won't over run your property if you forget about it for a few months.

Please place in classifieds, some photos would be nice too

Phone: 0066 27 41 71 71
Fax: 0066 27 41 72 72

If you've previously been receiving True signals from Thaicom 5 then there is no reason it shouldn't work. But you are a well outside the normal service area, what size dish were you using?
Footprint maps here http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/thai5.html
Your existing receiver should still be able to view the free channels (The DLTV stuff).
Of course it's well outside the scope of the True user agreement.

Tywais got there first, invariably glowing tubes is a switched neutral.
The proper way to fix it is to trace the wiring and sort out the crossed connection, if that proves impossible you MAY see an improvement if you simply swap the connections at the fitting.
As a last resort installing an electronic ballast will almost certainly solve the glow, but there have been a number of reports that the cheap Chinese imports are unreliable given Thailand's wonderfully smooth power.

What Electau said ^^^.
You will not be able to plug your chargers directly in to the supply here unless they are marked as "110-250V 50/60Hz" (universal voltage), however simple / cheap converters are available and your chargers will work just fine using them.
Your biggest issue will be the unknowing plugging your charger directly into a local outlet (same format as the US) at which point they will stop being chargers and start being landfill

Yup ^^^, but you must get a re-entry permit before leaving or you will have to start over on your return.

Green on white is for 2-door pickups (and I believe other small commercials), painting a different colour would likely attract the attention of the law.
If you really want black then you need to re-register, higher tax rate if it's even possible.

It looks like the Mitsi meter has an infra-red link for meter reading. Short range, but since the man prints the bill and puts it in the little box not an issue.
-
Looking at the Mitsi data sheet that is not actually a 'smart' meter, merely an electronic version of the regular electro-mechanical meter.
On the subject of 'real' smart metering, the idea of letting PEA selectively disconnect part (or even all) of my load at certain peak times in return for a credit against my bill is attractive, bring it on.

Bickering and spelling Nazi posts removed.
Let's play nicely chaps, hair in the shower drain is a fact of life for those of us with long-haired dictionaries.

I don't remember anyone ever recovering a soaked phone to full functionality, could get it going well enough to recover data but essentially it's junk.
Electronics that has become wet when operating invariably suffers damage to a greater or lesser extent. If it gets wet when un-powered you stand a good chance of it recovering. Water washing does, after all, form part of the manufacturing process.

Our OP is specifically looking for a Mac, loads of PC places in Zeer but I don't recall seeing a used Apple

And we have a difference of opinion on the buggy
Check with your airline.
-
Leave Thailand on her Thai passport, enter UK on UK. You may need to show UK passport to check-in to show she has the right to enter the UK but do not show it to Thai immigration. Converse on returning.
Buggy will get baggage labels but you keep it until you board, when they will put it in the hold, get it back when you de-plane (usually they're waiting by the door).

We have the cheapest Chinese pump we could find as our backup, LuckyPro I believe. It was the lowest cost pump with a pressure switch that was available. It happily runs our upstairs shower, loo, washer etc.
Our crunchy-bits filter is on the inlet to the tank (don't pump direct from the mains).

Applied for and received Chinese Tourist visa a couple of weeks ago, after three (yes three) trips to the embassy to get the paperwork in order on my fourth visit I finally received a visa valid for a stay of 12 days (actual trip was 5).
They finally received from me:-
Both visa forms A and B
Confirmed flights
Confirmed hotel booking
A non-immigrant visa of some form (if you have any type of Thai tourist visa or visa exemption, forget getting a China visa)
Your Work Permit (I'm on a work extension here, don't know how married or retirees will get on)
A Certificate of Employment (ditto above)
Copies of your PP photo page and permission to stay / extension
But no requirement for an invitation although one is required for a business visa along with a letter of intent from your Thai employer.

We're not talking Molotov Cocktails here, small rag not a sheet
We had one particularly stubborn vehicle that needed this treatment every winter morning, never set anything on fire, when it fired drop the rag and stamp on it.
-
Learned from my dad (a bus driver).
To start a reluctant diesel. Air cleaner off, rag soaked in diesel (NOT petrol / gasoline) near the intake, light the rag, operate the starter. Works every time
Some Ford diesels had a coil inside the manifold, coil glowed red when cranking and a small injector sprayed diesel on it, same effect but less messy.

A friend of mine, a very well educated British, once to told me that educated Indians are the people with the best English.
I agree (mostly) some of the Indian engineers I work with have superb English with little trace of the stereotypical Indian accent.
Even 'native' speakers could be an issue, some years ago whilst working in Seoul I met a couple of Welsh girls, both had pronounced Cardiff accents (boyo) and both were teaching 'English'. I feel really sorry for the Korean businessmen who they taught (or maybe they have cornered the market in exporting kimchi to Wales).

Keyboard stickers are readily available from anywhere selling PC related stuff.
If the machine (or a similar model) is sold in Thailand then a local replacement keyboard should be easily obtained.
If you just want to display and enter Thai characters then (assuming Windows) simply installing the Thai fonts and telling the machine it has a Thai keyboard will suffice. If you want menus etc also in Thai then a localised version of Windows is needed.
If you have W7 Ultimate it can be configured so that different users get their menus in different languages.
