  1. Only a "couple"?? We have the grandkids staying for the covid duration, I need a case per day!! They are going back to school, "soon"!
  2. Not a weekend, but a Public Holiday counts. I finally got fed up with pumping up the pressure tank on our Grundfoss pump (it had a slow leak in the liner). Not being enamoured with the price of a genuine Grundfoss tank I got one on Lazada, 1,400 Baht https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i2332955878-s7893630468.html It very conveniently arrived yesterday, I had already soaked the old one's threads with penetrating oil so it only needed relatively mild application of the lump hammer/spanner combination to get it moving. Amerkem "Type 51" pipe compound on the threads of the new one and it screwed on easy. Amazing how smooth the water flow is now.
  3. Here we are around local high tide. It's still too squidgy to get to my usual measuring points but the level is a good 20cm below the peak from Sunday ???? I'm not going to say it's over yet (puyai-baan said another week when he was on the speakers yesterday), but it's looking pretty good (famous last words!).
  4. You need to define "original" and for that matter "knock off". It's not like these things are branded memory sticks with fake branding. As others note, you really need to hear any musical instrument being played.
  5. Looks like your PCs have been breeding like ... rabbits
  6. Yes! We had almost exactly the same kind of issue with our old Ranger, new battery sort of improved it. Then it decided one day to just go "click"! Starter solenoid dead, contacts had been cooking for a while by the looks of it. Replacement solved the issue and it's been fine since.
  7. If you need something in English, the closest Western requirement is AS/NZ3000.
  8. 220V units are unknown here and for that matter in much of the world. They are just starting to be recommended in the UK and cost £££££££. https://www.discount-electrical.co.uk/section.php/111481/1/wylex-afdd-rcbos It's also hotly debated whether thay actually have any significant effect.
  9. If you do decide to drive, I always park on the left side of the road just before the ramps up to the building. I'm an early bird usually so there's usually a space in the actual marked spaces, but parallel parking (in neutral, handbrake off) is accepted.
  10. We are at local low right now, level is well down. Next local high is at 5PM, will report back then.
  11. Loads on Lazada https://www.lazada.co.th/catalog/?q=แคน many of which are shipping from China so should be no issue shipping to Sweden, but you'll need to chat to the vendors.
  12. The regulations themselves are way too heavy for a domestic installer, the PEA document included by @sometimewoodworker is far better at pointing your man in the right direction. This is the important diagram with English translations. Wiring it like this will get you past the PEA/MEA inspection for a permanent meter. As others have noted your bast way forwards is probably to get a recommended sparks to give you a detailed quote and then tell him what extras you want.
  13. Assuming that you:- Have a 15/45 meter Have a permanent supply (about 4.5Baht per unit) - Some inspectors don't like a 63A incomer on a 15/45, no an issue if you already have a permanent supply. Then I'd go for the 63A Siemens. Do ensure that you can get spare breakers, you may want to change the values from the ones supplied.
  14. This afternoon's local high was around the same as yesterday, hopefully it will stay that way.
  15. Yes, TM30 done at new office. I'm really looking for any "surprises" particular to the Pathum Thani office.
  16. Yeah, I'd assumed that the "normal" copies would be taken as read, but good to inform others.
  17. Personally I'd always go branded, Schneider or ABB. As noted earlier you do tend to get what you pay for and if you look on any of our projects you will find, pretty much exclusively, Schneider or ABB. BTiCino are also worth looking at, again as mid-budget. Why not get yourself down to your local Global House, HomePro, Thai Watsadu or whatever you have nearby and have look and feel at the display units. If they feel "cheap" they probably are.
  18. Search YouTube for "our reactor is on fire" for several documentaries.
  19. To cause confusion - local income from my job in Thailand ???? We're swapping from employment to marriage and also changing immigration offices, previously used CW. Work are preparing the usual tax documentation that they've used in the past for work extensions.
  20. Anyone done a marriage extension at Pathum Thani recently? Anything "special" required on top of the usual:- KR. 2 KR. 3 (Or KR22 if married outside Thailand) Wife - Copy ID. Card Wife - Copy home registration Home map Family Photo with address number Photo Inside the house Photo Outside the house Visa Photo 4×6 cm.
