  1. We DIY'd a system with (now) 10.6kWP of panels, grid tie with 10kWh of batteries (going to expand "soon"). Thread here https://aseannow.com/topic/1120934-how-about-a-solar-car-port-on-a-budget/
  2. I assume from the silence that you have had no progress on the batteries or export meter front? ????
  3. Have a read of this thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1207148-my-issan-10kw-on-grid-solar-project-fully-installed-by-contractors-337500bht/ @Thaifishwas going to update to include batteries but I think has run into battery supply problems. The contractor looks good but I would avoid the Huawei equipment as it requires special (expensive) high-voltage batteries. A more genereic 48V system should prove more economical. Are you looking to go off-grid or merely use the batteries as a UPS for critical power? How about selling excess to the PEA?
  4. Typical! In reality provided your arrival date is correct it probably doesn't matter now the Imprisonment on Arrival (sorry "quarantine") isn't a thing.
  5. Did you get here https://tp.consular.go.th/en/check-status?type=edit
  6. Of course this is an EV-centric website quoting the vehicle manufacturer, but :- https://insideevs.com/news/584722/tesla-car-fires-statistic-2021/
  7. Except that:- https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-bus-fire-idUSL2N2WN1L4 EVs do catch fire and make the news, diesel / NGV buses go pretty well too. Many EV manufacturers are moving from Li-ion to LiFePO4 batteries which, whilst less power dense, have less tendency to go whoosh!
  8. Post title is the headline taken from the linked article. Not my opinion. Sorry for the confusion.
  9. Never hit a bird, but I did get a rather angry bee between my WWII flying goggles and my open face lid (would have been in the late 70s). That was an, er, interesting experience.
  10. Another month breaking the 1MWh barrier, 1,048.9 kWh from solar, 108kWh from PEA.
  11. I doubt anyone in the the known universe thinks that this incident was funny ????
  12. And from a country that really is sometimes a bad joke ????
  13. Yeah, the biggest vehicle that uses our drive is the truck delivering the rocks ???? EDIT It's a pickup with a tipper body.
  14. Yeah, the smaller stuff washes through and forms a very dense layer which is almost like concrete. It does need to be driven on to compact properly.
  15. Forum member Naam (who sadly no longer posts due to ill health) used the A/C in his pool room to heat the water via a custom made heat exchanger, nice cool air, nice warm water.
  16. Here we go "หินคลุก" H̄in khluk - Line Translate says it's "Rock and Roll"
  17. Yeah, or you put a fair amount down over the years. Ours is pretty stable now.
  18. Checked with Madam, she calls it "hin cuck".
  19. The particle size is way too variable to be generically called "gravel", it varies from 1/2" or so right down to sand sized. I think it's actually what falls through the mill used to crush the aggregate for concrete (crusher dust?). I have no idea what Madam orders it as, I just tell her "rocks for the drive" or "rocks for concrete" if we are mixing concrete and the relevant stuff arrives about 30 minutes later. It does compact very nicely when driven on and a bit of rain helps it along.
