  1. Last night's high at Ko Kret. And for comparison, this morning's low tide. Local low tide this morning.
  2. From the Lazada help centre, if nothing works note the final paragraph you could be SOL 😞 .
  3. Local high tide this morning. About 90cm below our "worry" level, but these things have a nasty habit of changing rapidly.
  4. People. I strongly suggest we don't discuss any actual methods of ending it all. Assisted suicide is not legal in Thailand and we really don't want the forum involved in any legal issues by "assisting" anyone. EDIT After internal discussions some posts have gone walkabout.
  5. Ours (yes the leak has been sorted) sourced locally, in HomePro IIRC. You should be able to find everything you need here although I think the UK one will fit.
  6. Yeah, I would concur with MDF. All our non-teak stuff is MDF, it's being replaced with real wood as it falls apart. Some of the cabinets are being remarkably stubborn!
  7. It is my intention to live forever! So far, so good!
  8. Local government office loudspeaker truck has just announced that boats are available for those who want them!! Nothing about sandbags yet.
  9. This morning's high at Ko Kret, down somewhat from last night 🙂 Some nice big tide ranges coming which should, hopefully, aid in getting the water into the gulf.
  10. For us local rain isn't really an issue other than making the garden like a swamp. It's hammered down several times over the last week, and drizzled all night too, no flash-flooding. It's the slow-motion train wreck caused by what fell up-north a few days ago and has now been released from the dams that's the issue. Last time we actually flooded it didn't rain at all during the inundation, lovely sunny days in fact.
  11. And the rise continues, cue the "Jaws" music ...
  12. The village-head just called Madam, village power will be off on Friday 8AM-5PM, I think we are getting a new, bigger, transformer. I doubt we will notice
  13. After several dull days and family visiting over the weekend the sun finally came out this morning: - It's 2.30PM and the batteries are just about full, we shoved 50.5kWh into them this morning. Now, about that 400A DC breaker (already upgraded along with the battery cables from 250A) ...
  14. The old gag about what the Tory government had in common with MFI - one loose screw and the whole cabinet falls apart. I don't recall who was bonking whom, but you get the picture.
  15. When all else fails - RTFM
  16. Last night's high, a bit of a jump since the previous night. Watching closely.
  17. A bunch of posts which break Aseannow Community Guidelines have been removed.
