  1. I guarantee if he out a deposit down of any amount prior to renting he will never ever see it again and that goes with any thing you put a deposit down on. I'm sure that is we're the problem began.. This guy is innocent....100%

It seems pretty basic, on the face of it? If you are in possession of a vehicle which is not registered to you without the owner's consent that is a crime? What are the mitigating circumstances for you to say he is 100% innocent?
  2. Atyclb, yes, students will learn faster. Guaranteed.

So, can you give us that list I asked for ??

Maybe you missed my post above !!

It is a comprehensive ALS 120 lesson course which includes theory and practice lessons. After this course you will teach faster and also students will learn faster. It is a life long benefit. Some people here do not know what they are talking about or are belittling me, or try to be overly academic. What we teach works very very well and is worth the money. If someone has a budget to open a school they may even be able to start their own business. I am very confident in our ALS course. Perhaps the best investment you will ever make if you want to make teaching your career. You will be learning from one of the best paid teachers in Thailand. If you get good at ALS you will make very good money.

Excuse me but how do you account for the fact that if you type “Walen Scam Thai Language School in Thailand “ into google you are provided with a thread in which many contributors contradict a lot of what you have said?
  3. As I cycled down Beach Road this morning, just as you go around the bend after Dusit hotel there were already cars parked in the newly formed lane nearest to the beach. So now you have cars and buses parked on the left and you have cars parked on the right. This is what is going to happen. All this work just to create an extra lane that will just be used for more parking ! These people are unreal

  4. The more the U.S. public sees of, and hears from, the Republican party, the lower our collective opinion becomes.

The Republican party brand name is, frankly, sh*t among the body politic of the United States. The present hearings are only increasing and intensifying the public's very low regard of the Republican party in the United States.

    (Snipped)---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    http://www.basicsproject.org/constitutional_literacy/government/types_of_government.htm

An unusual event occurred last election cycle - nationally the Democratic party received more votes for the House than the Republican candidates did, yet the Democratic party was unable to gain majority control of the House. The central tenent of democracy, i.e., majority rule, was ignored. The Republicans, because of political gerrymandering, got more seats in the House than the Democrats did. Show me in the Constitution where it says the minority rules.

The rules of the Senate allow the minority to obstruct, and to rule. In this matter, the Senate is inherently anti-democratic, which is a wrong place to be. It is a mistake of judgement to quote some 18th century American from Virginia about democracy. Virginia in 1964 refused to open its schools for the new school year because the courts had ordered desegregation based on stopping a racism there that dated back to the early 17th century. Quoting anti-democratic racists from the U.S. South is ill considered, i.e., self-defeating, so congrats on distinguishing yourself in this way.

Also spare me your civics lectures about majority-minority government, democracy, the republic as a form of government, what kinds of constitutions exist etc. For instance, you speak of a "smaller congressional district in Wyoming" when, in fact, Wyoming has only one congressional district, an at-large seat. Wyoming doesn't have, hasn't ever had, enough population to justify having two (or more) congressional districts, i.e., seats in the House. So with only one congressional district in Wyoming, there are no "smaller" or "larger" congressional districts there. In your examples you only betray yourself.

Once again your arguments in respect to he matter of the thread topic is predicated on "if" or "could" and a number of other qualifiers. Why don't you come on down here to reality with the rest of us - or at least most of the rest of us?

    @JDGRUEN

Yes, as determined by little ol' me. Are you questioning, or denying my natural or Constitutional right to have world view, a point of view? I certainly hope not. Fascists in particular would attempt such things; Americans would not.

    @chuckd

We've been over all of this ground previously, in this thread (which makes many of the items you discuss off topic) and in other threads. I remind you the U.S. Supreme Court established more than 40 years ago that a journalist's First Amendment rights do not apply in criminal matters, which now are extended by law into matters of terrorists and/or terrorism. It matters not that the Associated Press is a universally respected and reliable news organization (originating in 1848) or that Fox News is a throwback to the 19th century "partisan press." The First Amendment does not apply to journalists and to professional news organizations in criminal matters. Period.

Apart from Fox News all the other media outlets or a throwback to Orwellian 1984 " double speak "

  5. As said, it is:

    Thailand out

    other country in

    other country out

    Thailand in

    Thailand out

That is 5 stamps and 1 page might not be enough, also depending on which other country you will use.

    Mario that's exactly what I wanted to hear - thanks :- )

Actually I do have a couple of miscellaneous spaces here and there , which will be enough for just a few small stamps

  6. I have dual citizenship and I have just one page left in one of my 2 passports which contains my visa for Thailand ( and this passport also expires in six months.)

I just need to exit, Thailand and re-enter for about 8 days (on a 15 day walk in stamp ). I will then fly out and do a switch over to my second passport for which I'm also going to use to apply for an O visa.

My question. is when you do a walk-in and get 15 days, do you just get a small stamp to enter and another when you leave? If that is the case my one remaining page will be enough.

  7. The big o - BHO has all his cut-outs in place. The taint the stench may not extend to him personally but he is the orchestra leader.

Turns out others in the White House knew what was in the IG report long before it was "leaked" So maybe some of the henchmen will face the trap door to the waiting hungry sharks below. Goldmember style. Bon Appetit.

Man I am getting sick of the weasel words out of this administration.

Official to plead the fifth Amendment?

The left supporters are starting to look more and more like the band on the decks of the Titanic hurriedly worrying about what would be the most appropriate music to play next as the bow starts to sink.

  8. Many shops, cafes, bars, restaurants have WiFi signage near the entrance, I can't imagine you'd have to walk more than a few meters to find one.

You can also get paid services from True WiFi or 3BB.

    http://www.truewifi.net/2011/buy_wifi.htm

    http://www.3bbwifi.com/home/index.php

If you have a TrueMove, TrueMove H, AIS/One-2-Call SIM you can also get discounted or free WiFi service; 3BB with AIS.

thanks i also found this useful page

It is a different IRS department processing a much smaller amount of applications - there is not intermixing of jobs - don't you get that? It is not just one big pile of paper you know...

Oh jeez. An OCD kid with a learning disability could figure this out. Let's take Steven Miller and criticism he does not know everything that happens and who directs it. What office was processing or making determinations? Cincinati. Was Steven Miller in Cincinati processing? Where was he based? Is he an idiot for not knowing everything 100,000 employees were doing? Is he annudiot for not knowing every detail about every filing, every audit and every application which perhaps numbers 200,000,000?

Intersting quote on Forbes from a CPA and his take on this issue:

As a CPA who has prepared applications for exempt status, I do not see how any tea party organization was harmed. A nonprofit can commence operations while the application is in process, and all of these applications were either approved or are still in process (except for a few withdrawn by the applicants themselves).

The IRS was criticized for not paying enough attention to political activity of exempt organizations and hit with a surge in applications. They formed a specialist group to review applications of organizations that appeared to be likely to engage in political activity. If your application got sent to the specialist group, it was slowed down. Ultimately, they became paralyzed because they could not figure out what criteria they should be using. More people got involved. The left hand did not know what the right hand was doing.

Deflect - Deflect - Deflect ... no one was injured because someone who wasn't affected said that it was okay... Interesting!!! The ones who were actually affected by the mean spirited politically punitive - biased obama bureaucrats get the say in what was important or not ... not some obama minion who would vehemently defend obama if he ate kittens for breakfast on national T.V.

Did you actually read the Forbes article? You obviously did not listen to the hearings. Have you read anything about the facts of what happened? It seems like you guys just blindly listen and follow like sheep when someone says something against Obama.

Wasn't it like only 70 of 300 applications going through higher level of review conservative groups or tea party applications? I think this and the points made in the Forbes article reveal just how ridiculous this entire thing is.

The sad part is the IRS workers that perhaps did nothing maliciously that are now in jeopardy of losing their job due to the Republican political machine. Seriously, how could any rationale person legitimately believe that a Tea Party group might try to do something below the board to avoid taxes.

The more I read and understand what happened, the more I think those looking to use this for political leverage should be ashamed of themselves.

    or

“ those looking to use harassment for political advantage should be ashamed of themselves.” ?

  10. I usually have had very need to use free Wi-Fi services when I'm outside but tomorrow I will be in the vicinity of Sathorn Road and Soi Ngamdupli with my laptop.

Can anyone please advise me where I would be able to sit for a while with a coffee and get access to Wi-Fi? Is this available at all StarBucks outlets for example?

    Thanks for any advice

  11. obama is 'Moderate" compared to ... say ... Mao, Castro, Chavez, Lenin, Stalin ... ??? obama is a Moderate ... what an absolutely hysterical joke. OMG...

To Europeans, Obama is a conservative and that is a fact.

Well - I'll take your word for it - but that only supports my point of view... Good Grief ... It is what Americans think about obama that is important... obama is a leftist pushing socialism into communism - and that is pretty far off the left end of the spectrum. And it is obama's bent for leftist dictatorial control that has led him to create an Administration where the IRS becomes a political enforcement arm, the Justice Department illegally taps the phones of the Associated Press, Homeland Security and the Justice Department smuggle guns into Mexico and the State Department and the White House makes up a fantastical lie as part of the cover up to hide wrong doing in the Benghazi fiasco... But obama is a 'moderate' and now a conservative. This claim is going to become the funniest joke of the year...

No, only the right wing think Obama is a socialist bordering on communist. That just shows you how far right the conservative right has gotten in America.

Any self-respecting socialist or commie would disavow Obama, he's so far right of their ideology.

Obama is a centrist - much as Bill Clinton was. They both were willing to suck up to Republican party positions (Clinton's welfare reform, Obama's Affordable Care Act - which was first proposed by the Heritage Foundation, as implemented by Romney in Massachussettes), where as a socialist/commie wouldn't acknowledge Republican party positions as being relevant to anything. A true commie/socialist would have implemented a national health care/single payer plan and said "screw the insurance companies".

" No, only the right wing think Obama is a socialist bordering on communist "

When Andy Stern SEIU president who has openly called for communism in America visited the White House 53 times you have to do wonder what they were talking about?

But when the same pattern emerges in three simultaneous scandals shouldn't the American people become a little more sceptical as to whether their leaders are being disingenuous or not?

I mean the very fact that there was enough material to fill a website dedicated to listing all of the untruths Obama had already told during his first term should have started the alarm bells ringing long ago?

  13. Saw a young foreigner yesterday on a big bike approaching three lanes of virtually stationary traffic at the lights on Central Road with lots of pedestrians weaving between the cars to cross over the road.

But this guy with his big powerful motorbike decided to accelerate (and I mean really accelerate) and duck in an out of the stationary cars. I couldn't think of a more inappropriate place to start speeding up.

What is wrong with these people?

  14. I would suggest that folks remember. Obama parked a Nimitz-class carrier group off the shores of Libya and took out Gaddafi recently. Personally I don't see any benefit in that action at all because as others have mentioned this is Muslim on Muslim and the winner still supports terrorists.

But it's an action that shows Obama is capable of it, so I wouldn't take it lightly.

I don't like Obama. Never did. I don't like the idea of taking out Syria's leaders only to see even more chaos. But facts are facts.

I'm sorry but in recent history your country does not have an exemplary record in accurately assessing the outcome of any conflict or indeed winning any conflict. The biggest mistake America or its ally could make right now is keep taking for granted China or Russia would not bother about getting involved.

  15. I recently transferred a sum of money from UK and I seem to have lost a lot more on the transaction than I was expecting. I realise there is a spread every day i.e. a different rate for buying and selling, so using the XE foreign exchange website presumably isn't much of an indicator because that gives you the average conversion rate? But is there any where I can find out what the buying rate and selling rate was on the day that the bank transferred the money to me ?

  16. Don't get an ATM/Debit card for the account with 800K baht in it would be the best solution. If using it to live on open another account with card and simply transfer funds (internet bank would make this easy) into this account as needed.

“sizeable phantom ATM cash withdrawals from some individual who had clearly cloned my debit card”

if you keep the card on you at all times and virtually never use it, how can they do this unless it's with the assistance of someone working at the bank?

  17. One thing you have to say about the Vietnamese arriving in Australia is that they quickly get on with work so they are a positive force for multicultural Australia. They are one of the most hard working ethnic communities in Australia.

Not like some of the would-be immigrants who are flocking to the UK because they are only interested in sponging off the system.

  18. Did your friends tell you whether the developers they have dealt with subscribe to the Thailand Escrow Act which was introduced specifically to safeguard the deposits of purchases of off the plan developments?

    Details here

    http://www.articlesnatch.com/Article/Buying-Off-Plan-Real-Estate-In-Thailand--Condominium-Acquisition-And-Escrow/1900970

After all the bad experiences over the past few years anyone today that simply hands over a deposit to a real estate developer but without taking precautions must have rocks in their head.
