Is it possible for tourist to stay more than 2 months , let's say 3, or not?

Only if you enter on a NON-Tourist 60 Day Visa... Then you can Extend 30 Days! (Total time in Country-3 months!)

The text of the announcement seems to be in contradiction with the published police order 139/2557.

2.4 In the case of tourism purposes:

Each permission shall be granted for no more than 30 days from the date on which the permitted period has lapsed.

"Each permisison" seems to indicate that multiple 30 day extensions are possible. It does not say only one time, although that would be logical. But could be translation issue.

Tourisim Visa is the only one that deals with 30 Day periods. It is awarded a "One Time" Extension of 30 Days. If you cannot get Extension you have 7 Days to Exit Kingdom.

No more than 1 extension on any Visa issue for time periods of less then One Year.

The I year Visa's will require you to continue reporting, to Immigration, every 90 Days.

They didn't mention anything about Retired Visa's Still wondering if they are going to continue to make us check in every 90 days? And if they will ever change the 1 year visa to a 5 year visa or more? We travel a lot and sometimes it is difficult to get back in 90 days to do you check in.

You should read the article. It answers your 90 day. For travel a lot well get a multi entry or if in Thailand mail it in.

If you have Retirement Visa and you travel (Outside of Thailand) Don't worry about your 90 day report... If you have last report and next is required in say 30 days... But you are outside of Thailand... Remember you have your exit Stamp And re-entery Stamp in Passport! You also have a new Departure card stapled in Passport! Your re-entery confirms you have reported and where you have been. Thailand is not concerned where you are when outside of the Country.... Why would they be? You can ask Officer at Immigration Control at Airport to confirm when you need to do your next 90 Day report (If it changes while your gone...) But for me it was 90 days after the entry stamp in Passport and back of Departure Card (T.M.6) then go on as usual until Visa needs to be renewed!

We have no trouble completing the stacks of paperwork and verifying "Loads of money" in the Bank (Seems like Thailand is assigning some one to try and Siphon if they can while we are here) Even to stay here, we have to do over and over again. If we are retired we need to do this every 90 days! Thai in Foreign Country subject to this??? No! Do they need to retain massive funds in a Bank Account to stay there?? No!

I am saying that 80% of those who get Visa to visit, never return to Thailand, I have lisits from Many West Coast Temples.... I will keep private!!! that are families who asked for help... In my humble understanding, and referring to the article that you provided, the public health system seems to be milked mainly by a majority of 'genuine tourists' without a health insurance, as well as the increasing number of retirees, no one blames overstayers (who are btw. not at all part of the original thread) and visa runners (the original thread is all about) for being a burden to Thailand by milking the public health system!

Anyway, this entire discussion on the visa situation is gone crazy, a fact is that there is no proper visa available to help a growing number of GOOD and contributing people to help them staying legally in Thailand, longer than the max. of 180 days, in a row. That is the main, real issue here and inspecting visa runners more individually will not solve anything. Period!

I think it would be quite simple for those to that want to stay long term to just do a police background check and/or get a qualified reference or sponsor locally to vouche for one's character, issue a "green card" and let people work where ever they can get a job and pay taxes. Seems to be one more article abusing the term "surrogate".

You are missing.... All women said they did not USE their egg. So they used as Surrogate implies Egg from another woman.

I was threatened with detention when doing this at a land border, and they refused to use my almost empty legit passport and insisted on only letting me in, with the passport with the exit chop of the neighboring country.

You can't do a passport swap at a border crossing which you learned about the hard way, They do check for entry and departure stamps for the other country to be sure you didn't just turn around and come back without entering the other country.

Thing is, I wasn't trying to hide it, I was trying to get from a full passport, to a nearly empty one, so I had pages to have a visa extension put in.. The denial of using the legal second passport had no grounds, and simply meant I had to go book an out in flight simply for the purpose of flipping passport.

If you legally have 2 passports.. And ones full, it's pretty petty to refuse to move over to an empty one !!

I just went to US Embassy and they gave me a letter directed to Immigration, asking them to transfer Visa and all pertianant info to my new Passport. Done in 15 minutes and was on my way...

I was off by a few days and they just smiled pointed at the date, underlined the new date and gave me back my passport. But then again i am not going to a big immigration office.

Yes they will remind you of correct reporting date. But you have a 7 day grace period to comply with directive.

Also when they issue new reporting?date slip and staple in Passport... They do remove the old one and staple to your Paperwork you gave to them when greeted at window/desk. You should always have just one (Current Copy) stapled in your Passport, If you have more than 1 copy they (Thai) did not complete your 90 Day report. and you could still be if They (Immigration) wanted be accused of being in violation and having forged Copy on your person.

Always be sure they take expired copy!!! I had Officer Follow me to door and stop me and thanked me for reminding him at counter to take old. He said it validates your new 90 day report being attached to new forms!!!

We have brought in all kinds of packaged vegetable seeds from the USA. None of them grow including a dozen varieties of tomato plants. I brought in Valencia, Honey Bell and Naval orange plants in my golf bag, The naval died and the other two produce at most one orange a season. A Thai agriculture student came out and took grafts to put on Thai orange trees to see what will happen. He also said they should not be planted in the ground but kept in pots. We have a couple of local lime trees in the ground that produce nothing. We have one lime tree in a pot and it has about 50 limes. We have a Malaysian lemon tree in a pot that produces beautiful lemons. We have a couple of patio orange trees in pots that keep us in marmalade. Probably miss good old US tomatoes the most.

Back in Seattle Dad tried the hanging Tomatoes (upside down) and in patio partly shaded. He has all kinds. He gave me some Beefsteak seeds and I duplicated process here. Planted seeds indoors and waited till they got about 4-6" high and transplanted. I have beautiful 4-6" Red Beefsteak Tomatoes! about 7-9 per plant. One actually produced as I kept using pig manure 3 t 4 times a year... kept producing for almost 2 seasons (years).

Also brought some Large Water Melon seeds that about half grew and produced 24 - 30" length and 38-42" diameter had about 20 melons. Saved the seeds after I reminded

Where your required to show Documentation relating to the Status of your Vessels Crew. (It must be on file that your crew is legal and each and everyone has a Current Working Permit!!

Those Boats and Crews that are not Members would be Barred from Selling their Catch to Any of the Registered Thai Seafood Manufacturers. Unless they have followed the steps to file the status and proof of Current Working Permits being issued to every member of their Crew.

Any of these Vessels would be required to produce proof if Boarded at anytime to check Status. If in non-compliance existing Catch or what ever is in the Holds of the offending Ships be scuttled ASAP! on the spot and Nets be conficated.

I have mail and received 100's of letters and package both in country and out and never losss a damn thing. Now tell me how was this sent? Sure the hell should be registered mail. Somehow they should be able to track it.

I had small parcel sent from east coast of Canada.. It was sent Certified, Registered and with a return receipt mandated. We tracked it accross Canada, saw everyone who touched parcels Signature and Date/Time.

We saw when it was loaded aboard Flight to Bangkok... When it was Off-Loaded... Signatures... Time and Dates!

Then a Mysterious thing happened! It Disappeared.....

At request of Sender a tracking was put in force. Canadian Postal Service says it was Delivered to Thai Postal Service. Thai Postal Service's Offical Reply was "We received nothing with this Certified/Register I.D.!!

What everyone here forgot was that there was a Signature recorded as all (Bulk of 1st Class Mail were unloaded off Aircraft. There is a Signature showing Parcel was Handed to Thai Postal Official!! They also by mistake signed the Return Receipt and it was deposited in Outbound Mail being loaded abord Aircraft.... (A total loss of Face for Thai Postal Employee!!)

Thailand still refused to say they receive parcel... My Friend here in Thailand (Chiang Mai - Postmaster) Started a reverse Search back to Bangkok and to Airport Terminal.... The next day I received Parcel in Chiang Mai, Delivered 1st thing in Morning by my Letter Carrier and his Boss (My friend-The Post Master) They could not exlain how Special Sealed Parcel Bag was delivered to his Office here at 0230hrs and he received a call to come and sign for/receive it....

There was NO recording of 4 hours of operation by the Rolls Royce engines. ACARS did not transmit engine data again after the Top Of Climb report, before MH370 went silent. There is evidence that the engines continued to function for 6-7 hours after that, but only from the Inmarsat analysis of the Sat pings.

I beg to differ, the engines, as in all Rolls Royce engines fitted to civilian airliners, were in constant contact with Rolls Royce whilst they were in operation, and these engines were reported by Rolls Royce, soon after the incident, to have been in operation for four hours after the last point of contact.

What is your source for this information ? What you say is impossible. Rolls Royce engine data for MHS is transmitted via VHS. VHS was not operating after the A/C went silent over the Gulf of Thailand.

Why were Civilian Aviation Centers blamed for delays?

The US War ship unable to do anything until they finnally locked on to one of the Russian Missles, and by that time the SU29 was gone...
