I always go to the Blind Massage shop in Santitham. Very near the Police Box, at the round-about corner. Not expensive, respectful, considerate, etc. The massage itself is as good as any and i like to support those folks who have few other employment options.

Simple. Buy 100 sq meters of Astro-turf, lay that out on your yard and putt away. Suggest only putting to a mark, not digging a hole in the turf.

Had the oil changed and shop put more than enough oil in the engine. Now the dipstick reads overfilled, by 3 mm. What caught my attention was the cloud of blue smoke just after starting up today. Never seen before and car runs good. Could the excess oil be associated with the blue cloud?

Free on the range means essentially little food available to eat, unless tossed out by humans. Maybe the skinny chicks offer tastier meat, but less of it.

Do you need lots of space for your stuff? Or just a small living for 3 months till on your feet and running? Many of the latter at monthly rates less than 10K but i'm sure the more expensive ones are available too. Look around Nakornping Condo, a short walk to NimmanH.

I had my first burger in T'land 2 weeks ago (excluding MCD) and i truly enjoyed the difference. This at the MaeJo golf club restaurant, a pleasant airy dining room overlooking the first fairway. Actually, it was a chewy and very tasty cheeseburger with various veggies piled between a toasted bun with chips/pickles alongside.
The chewy nature of the beef was a distinctive reminder that the modern burger is no more than a soft, bland and ground pile of beef trimmings.

Normal here to test dead drivers for alcohol and drugs? Or maybe he fell asleep in the early morning, rather like that girl who hit the bicyclists a year ago.
May sound strange but i do feel for the trees along the road. They are truly lovely giants of the earth but when interfering with the almighty motor car and the 'need for speed', their (the trees) are in mortal danger from the road makers. I would hate to see them get chopped down.

Agree. Go Super Rich and the 2 free beers.

Regarding the water quality of the Ping river, we can all see the brown color due mostly to ag/forest runoff of soil but what about the actual microbes which may harm us if we get into the water? Downstream of any village/town which has no water treatment plant i suppose the microbe load is high, but the dilution is also high now so maybe in fact swimming is not so bad. If heavy metals from factories, they often sink to the bottom sediment, where we won't be going. Finally, DO NOT drink the water.

Even a log will do. No crocs, hippos or piranhas in the Mae Ping.

'Rent the land for life'. Whose life, your's or the owner's? If the land owner's life then what happens if he dies next year? Is your contract cancelled, or his kids take over or must renegotiate the contract with his kids?
If rent the land for your life, what happens to all your investment once you die, which of course may be only a year after you fork out 10m baht for house construction?
By the way, what kind of price are you paying to rent the land per unit, per year and in what locale?

Thnx Nan for the toilet news. It may come in handy one day.

deem
[deem]Spell Syllablesverb (used without object)1.verb (used with object)to form or have an opinion; judge; think:He did not deem lightly of the issue.2.to hold as an opinion; think; regard:He deemed it wise to refuse the offer. We can see that only opinions and judgements are relevant in these cases, not fact of any kind. Since the govt controls the judgement makers (the judges), case closed and the party is GUILTY. -
Goats are a better bet for milk than a big old cow. But yes, goats are more difficult to contain with a fence.

I'm near CM and have an established lime tree in my yard, even with a few fruits. But now many fast growing branches are shooting up through the center of the tree, like water sprouts. I know that apples, and other northern fruits, need occasional, or yearly, pruning of branches to achieve the best condition for fruiting but i know nothing of tropical citrus and how to manage this lime tree.
Any good advice you can share?

Not easy to walk, from town, to 700 stadium or the HTT lake though. Need a wheeled vehicle, or wings.

Plz all, do not show that photo again. You know the one.

Dazinoz, you did moan about the KSK car park, no doubt of that. The physical conditions (moon craters) and the expense raised your ire.
I rather like the place, it's kind of a green retreat against the massive cement intrusions of current CM life, since the moon craters do deter some drivers from parking there. I never drive my car there, i only walk to KSK.
And to bring up for discussion your sick baby is totally irrelevant and unfortunate since such news reinforces the argument that you are a 'moaner'. But, hope the baby improves soon and leads a happy and fruitful life.

Yeah, i messed up. Took out the old air filter, a wide flat paper accordion thing. Had never seen one before like that. Really did not know it was paper, thought fiberglass or ?? So i washed it in water = bad news. Took a long time to dry and now it does not fit well.
The intake tube is up front, which feeds below the sealed paper filter, then out to the engine. Could i take a surgical mask, connect the 2 tubes with the mask between and filter my air? Seems OK to me but others may know more.
It's a 20 yr old fuel injected, 1600 cc engine.

Do you want to take a tour of local moo baans? Are you Chinese?

I've got a gas cooker which uses bottled butane. Is that a bbq? I can roast weiners on it, but mostly use it for frying eggs in the pan. Seems ultra safe, and fast.

RIP, poor Jumbo.

Correct. 30* is colder than 31*. That's the only indication 'winter' is on the way to northern T'land.

Really, evenstevens is talking about the PingPayom hotel. But he is reluctant to admit that so subs the similar sounding alternative hotel. He is so enamored of the PingPayom that, although it's nowheres near the night market, his recent evening experience there remains cemented in his conscious. However, the PingPayom restaurant is crud.

Simply put: there they go, into the sunset.
And YES, the mighty CUBS will play Sunday morning (CM time) on the Fox sports tube. I'll be watching, may even trot on down to The Pub to view with other wanna-be Chicagolanders.
