  1. Hmm, dr bill. Your message unclear, at least to me. Are you saying you have melanoma and require the Rx as you wrote? Or if you ever do get melanoma, Rx should be such?

Is any of what you wrote relevant to the rest of us?

This is a serious subject for many whiteys in T'land; frankly we (the whiteys) don't belong here, at least ecologically. Honest and accurate info is important to all of us, but hearsay and high hopes in mystery treatments not so good.

  2. I thought 'fast food' was pre-prepared (minutes, even hours earlier) and merely sits around waiting for you to order it, pay and take it away.

That is not the Subway franchise method.

Every Subway is made to personal order and preference regarding 'jalapeno' or not. No Subway sits around like an Egg McMuffin, or Burger Giant.

Sure, the Subway team can crank out the sandwiches pretty fast but each is made to order. And don't u luv the honey/oat bread? It's so absorbent.

  3. NO. Not so. Most commonly used as thus: pour 1 cup oats into bowl. Clip top of tofu tubes and squirt all of tofu tube into the bowl of oats. Next, add liquid of choice, cold or hot, much or little. Add good pinch of curry powder and dollop of soy sauce. Swirl with spoon 3x, wait 2 mins and enjoy massive health benefits, super healthy protein, low fat/cholesterol, and a delicious, nutty and natural, mildly Auruvedic meal. It it all and grow strong.

  4. 555. Any worker with culinary knowledge employed at Subway, McDonald's, Burger King, Starbux and etc is certainly an oxymoron.

Eating, whether at home or on the road, takes 2nd or 3rd spot in expenses for expats in T'land. Not counting golf, hoes, booze and other common but un-necessary pleasures. Cost control on food expense is a high priority, at least for me. Subway offers and i choose.

Sure, we can all eat for more money and many do. No doubt most of those of them think: costs more = better food. Not so.

  5. Now on the bike but getting sore butt and some rash. Have heard the special shorts will help. Any bike shop or sport shop in CM have big selection? I'm a big farang so can't use tiny skimpy things.

What to look for besides padding? Is bib type the best, must i get prickly heat rash?

  6. I'm a real noobie to the bike world. Sure, can ride about town but for miles in the countryside it won't be so easy for me. I'm lily white and always get pink, then red, then blistered, then cancered when too much sun. T'land life is tough for me.

Sun creams. I've found a brand which contains zinc oxide, an indisputable mineral protection. If you could make a shirt with aluminum foil, that would be better. I use the Zn cream on my face. The rest of me is totally covered. Big hat under the helmet, long sleeve shirt, golf gloves, probably the golf leggings buttoned onto the shorts. No skin exposed.

Big trip next week so i'm in training now.

  7. I bought a big bundle of split 2m long bamboo sticks, each 3-8 cm wide, for 150BT. How many? Can't say but they made a nice bed and i still have many left to use.

From the wood/bamboo vendor on hiway 107, just passed the superhiway (200/400m) on the east side.

  8. Nancy. But if 'in a hotel' is ok, then you won't need to travel all the way to Riverside. Simply trot over, 6.30 am, to the Orchid Hotel, next to KSK shopping mall. And 40 baht less than Riverside. Unlimited coffee and food of many kinds.

And frankly, who in her right mind could do justice to an 'all you can eat' buffet in this climate. No wonder the Asians are so lean. Eating and digesting takes too much effort under current heat conditions.

  9. Just got an email (in the spam) that my appleid has been upgraded. If not you, click here.

I do not recall any former Apple ID, nor do i want one. I use MacBook Pro, but few connection functions.

Is the Apple ID message legit or merely some kind of phishing mode?

  10. An aside: Bob Marley, world famous Rasta musician, born and raised in Jamaica, died of malignant melanoma, found on his toe, which eventually spread throughout his body. Bob's father was lily white from Sussex, UK and his mother was Afro-Jamaican.

I scored zero in every category, hence i am high risk for skin cancer. Dark skin is generally lower risk.

    Take the quiz. Educate yourself.

  11. A promotional photo of baguette, etc. And what's the cost and where to buy? How long to wait till it arrives?

I always liked to sneak a Subway onto AirAsia and sit in the rear munching away as we flew to exotic venues. And i always asked to overstuff the thing with vegies, every kind. That made for good health and no extra cost.

  12. At Kad Suan Keaw shopping mall, Subway sammies, another great American invention, has closed it's shop and nothing remains, not a crumb. Yet, Dunkin Donuts remains and prospers.

A pity but cut throat competition against the local noodle/rice shop was probably too much to bear. And the sammies weren't sweet nor greasy enough to satisfy the hungry. They verged on health.
