  1. IMO, they will have that eventuality covered. Also, IMO, I cannot see them reverting to TM6's once they realise how much paperwork is saved.
  2. IMO I would have to believe that it flows through. Whilst local Immigration will adopt their own practices they cannot go against a fundamental change such as this. You cannot account for a landlord who is not up to speed with changes. I am quietly confident that Immigration will be linked up wef 2nd July, and this poster is quite specific:-
  3. By way of benchmark these are the rates quoted by TT Exchange:- CURRENCY DESCRIPTION BUYING RATE SELLING RATE USD(L) 100-50 35.71 36.30 USD(M) 20-5 35.31 36.30 USD(S) 2-1 34.71 36.30 EUR(L) 500 36.30 36.90 EUR(M) 200-100 36.30 36.90 EUR(S) 50-5 36.30 36.90 GBP(L) 50 42.90 43.45 GBP(S) 20-5 42.90 43.45
  4. The Vogue is also doing good rates at the moment as they don't have the Chinese tour buses (Off soi Lengkee and sort of behind Sutus Court)
  5. Find someone coming over from the UK will cash and offer them a better rate than TT Currency or Superrich. You will be ahead.
  6. There are an increasing number of places who will NOT accept cash.
  7. Nor me - but handy for soi Buakhao, The Avenue etc,etc
  8. I have always been a fan of Sutus Court (although parking is a major consideration for me). Sutus Court 1 around 760 Baht at the moment. Ask for a back room. Travelodge is handily located.
  9. Was that rant aimed at the poster, or the Daily Telegraph science team.
  10. The guy made a mistake - give him a break. He went to an exchange booth that he had been to on previous occasions, without realising ownership had changed. He won't do it again. Lesson learned.
  11. Whining about 200 Baht makes Thailand the ideal place.
  12. Unfortunately, not everyone is as smart as you
  13. Yep - that is how I caught it. That is also how I picked up influenza a few years ago. Symptoms quite similar - slightly worse with the flu.
  14. Thankfully, at the last election - and the next - the citizens elsewhere thought differently.
  15. I will never mock Kiss; whilst I prefer the Jomtien restaurant you will always good value food at Kiss. Buying fish and seafood to take to Jomtien beach is a whole lot cheaper than buying from Beach Road vendors.
  16. But MAYBE spread around less because of people wearing masks ?..............................................
  17. Clearly, he is not. The Tories are just going through a spell of making Labour look more appealing than they are. Dianne Abbott anyone ? No, me neither.
  18. Jump in the water is warm. Just put any capital assets in a 12 month account you can't touch, and rent everything - you have made a good start there. Don't spend anything that you are not prepared to lose/leave in Thailand.
  19. If not already, Boris is now officially in the sh!t with these resignations.
  20. There are 3 in the Arcade:- Patricks, Longhorn and Beefeater. ....and you can't go wrong with Kiss Food & Drink....................maybe not for the steaks!????
  21. If the OP thinks that Patrick's is expensive, he shouldn't be asking about "best steaks". I believe Cheap Charlie's does one for 199 Baht. Cafe des Amis Australian Wagyu may scare him off at 3,200 Baht.
