    I think that if you overstay more than 2 days, you can't get an elite visa. I don't know if this will affect his current visa.

    55 yrs is way too long a time withhold information. It makes them look quite deceitful really.

    They should really notify immigration within the 24 hr period of you moving in. But i would check with them just in case.
