Again, not correct.  Used my Australian Citibank Visa card less than two weeks ago to draw cash in Myanmar.

What do you mean by that?  I use to travel with both a VISA and a MC.  But one bank changed and I've only got VISA cards now.  I've had problems with this in the past.

Citibank is not accepted. Thai banks are not a problem. Amex is extremely rarely accepted. Basically, not all foreign bank cards are accepted

There are ATM's everywhere now in the major cities and towns of Myanmar.  Everywhere.
 
And don't exchange notes with people on the streets - that's just asking for trouble, use your common sense and stick to banks and licenced money changers.

Many ATMs, but they do not accept a wide selection of overseas banking cards

Grande carribean and supalai are now finished and people already are living there.

Grande Carribean quality looks okay. Owners have one year from date of delivery to request warranty on any deficiencies noted. Deficiencies are corrected free of charge for one year.

But 20 minutes for this smallish Thai lady to do CPR by herself is too much.  Someone! Anyone! should have stepped in.  Even if they were not trained I'd be willing to bet a nickel that that good and decent nurse would have talked them through it.

Unfortunately the news report does not contain detail if anyone offered and she declined. I do not think we should automatically assume she is the only good person related to this story.

I am not a citizen of the USA, and would prefer the advice of a consultant who has experience dealing with the application of the USA tax laws and non citizens. Probably easier to find this experience overseas than within the USA

Slightly off topic, but I lived in the Philippines and am not an American citizen. The members of the VFW post in Barrio Baretto were great people, and welcomed foreigners to participate in activities. The VFW also had the best food in town at that time.
