  1. Who has the POWER

so power has not been handed to an unelected leader but taken - does that mean jutaporn is going to call his red army to the streets or is he in jail already

Have Surapong Charlerm and Tarit foregone their 5 star breakfast

I did hear that Surapong, Chalerm and Tharit have been asked to account for all the money that the CAPO spent.

I guess they will be slogging away with their spreadsheets.

Martial Law means that the police now fall under the army. Not sure where Tharit now stands.

That being the case, the army could take the oportunity to remove Thaksin and Chalerm of their police rank and even restructure the police force to a politically neutral entity that actually does it's job.

But who's going to restructure the army into a politically neutral entity?

I don't think too many on here would object to having the army and police banned from political activity - including having their pensions stopped.

  3. Capo has been dissolved? lots of updates on Richard Barrows twitter feed btw.

Is that the pseudo-journalist who lives in Red Samut Prakarn? Should stick to food review.

That'll be the Richard Barrow that somehow seems to be many heartbeats ahead of the rest of the English language information.

Indeed. Hats off to him and Thulsathit for setting the pace and doing it with personality

  4. You are just making this up - aren't you? Your claim of having majority? If so, why the reluctance in having an election? Surely you favored political party would win outright majority - wouldn't you? But no! You don't want the election to occur. So there is something clearly WRONG with you claim of having MAJORITY.

I believe Suthep will stop the protests next week but that does not mean he will give up on his and the majorities wish to rid Thailand of the Thaksin regime.

You forgot that the Democrats aren't allowed to promote their politic upcountry, the mass media are under control of the Thaksin regime and there is massive vote buying and "organized voting". If Thaksin believes he can win in fair elections why he fights the reforms?

If Yingluck would have said: yes we must reform, give me your ideas and we'll implement them immediately, she would be a hero. Instead she pushed the Amnesty for Thaksin law.

"You forgot that the Democrats aren't allowed to promote their politic upcountry..."

Why would the dems waste resources 'up country', they have shown over decades their lack of respect for the 1 in 3 voters who live there. The dems and in particular Abhisit will NEVER win in the northeast, not so much for what they have done, more for what they have not done over a very long period when they were in power. As for not being allowed to promote their politic, well I doubt PTP would have much success in Yala, Narathiwat or Surat Thani.

So you agree with all the thuggery at election time up north but not down south. How hypocritical of you

  5. Hahaha ironically if will be be the judge who won't attend the next hearing for the very same reason - if Jatuporn shows really up - followed by 100.000 supporters!

Defamation are you kidding me - Abhisit was in in charge as PM of the military puppet government and ordered the violent crackdown on the protesters and also tried to stop the amnesty bill - so stop wasting tax payers money where is the defamation?

Maybe the courts should work up the backlog of cases against PAD and others pending for years now!

Otherwise Jatuporn can always say he is busy defending democracy - sounds better than Suthep's busy leading an lllegal violent mop trying to overthrough democracy in Thailand.

I would say ignore the yellow judge - he will soon reverse his decision!

Yes because threatening and terrorizing is the red way and the way of the followers of the red menace.
The only violence I see daily is from so called guards on the yellow side!

And there is no need to threaten a judge in Thailand - they always hang their flag in the wind - if that does not happen usually a box full of money does! They all have a price!

    How one eyed of you.

The deaths, the injuries, the constant grenades and shooting must have all slipped under your radar like MH370 on steroids

  6. So the courts order Jutaporn be arrested for defamation, but have not enforced the orders against Suthep for murder and insurrection. All this just shows how hopelessly biased the court system and judiciary are. Will this never end?

Don't be such a silly boy.

The courts are responsible for the orders but the arrests are down to the police.

  7. CAPO is one of the only organisations still upholding the law in Thailand. Unfortunately there are few police and military prepared to enforce that law.

This means that these PDRC civil servants (along with their fascist idol Suthep) will get away with undermining democracy.

These people clearly need a lesson in democracy, but in my experience they have closed minds, impervious to ideas from the modern outside world. Although several surrounding countries understand and support democracy - e.g. India, Philippines, Indonesia - the Thai middle class persists in believing that Thailand is "different" and cannot follow the rest of the world. And one has to agree: different. That is, suffering the curse of the ammart, which says that the "great and the good" shall rule over the lower orders for evermore.

Name me one of them that hasn't been charged with an offence?

  8. What on earth does this mean? "About 61% of the poll takers propose that the military come out and show their stance to protect the public and the nation." Martial Law? Coup?

Does "More than 54% urge the courts to be impartial" mean that 46% weant them to take sides?

Does "40.70% want the EC to urgently organize a general election with transparency and neutrality." mean that 60% don't care? Or don't need neutrality?

Poorly worded poll, poorly worded article.

  9. In the current heated political atmosphere, the only impact of one side asking to circumvent the rules defined in the constitution will be negative.

PTP supporters will think that elections can be held without EC involvement (they can't)

PDRC supporters will believe that yet another set of rules is about to be broken.

Whilst I believe in free speech, I also believe in prudent speech.

She's right up there with the beer heiress for public relations disaster of the year award. I wonder if she might have some "dirty" secrets of her own that could surface. Might be attractive but definitely behind the door when the brains were handed out.

not that attractive. widely critisied on thai social media.

she is the one on the left. even the ladyboy on the right has a better shape.

I'd choose the one on the right every time.

    Red shirt, brown helmet?

  11. Basically, they are civil servants, not PDRC servants, or Suthep servants or yellow shirt servants.

If they want to work for another boss, they should resign or be sacked from their current job.

And therein lies the cretinous understanding of the small minded.

The government is not their boss.

The government decides policies that the civil service implements.

The minute the government starts messing around with appointments and personnel then all hell breaks loose.

And that is why boneheaded thoughts such as yours bring mayhem

  12. "PDRC to pursue acting PM and 11 ministers to force them to resign"

    Suthep "Bully" Thug Suban

I don't see anything democratic in bullying.

Please what the Japanese write about this situation.

"Antidemocratic elements — and there is no other word for them — in Thai society refuse to tolerate a government that they do not control, the sentiments of the majority of the Thai people be damned.

This is the third time that judges have removed a prime minister they did not like and this indifference to the popular will is hardening sentiment in Thailand and pushing the country closer to civil war."

    http://www.japantimes.co.jp/opinion/2014/05/15/editorials/short-circuiting-thai-democracy/#.U3Zr_V6WG0s

Said many times in the last few weeks...the above is what the whole world sees. Why cant the deluded anti democratic whack jobs supporters on Thai Visa see it

Has it ever occurred to you that actual illegitimate care taker government is totally antidemocratic in whatever they do. Autocratic rule. Nothing happens without one man's permission. Nothing. Not to mention paramilitary formations which killed almost 30 people and injured few hundreds so far. Bullying people into submission by unleashing UDD/Red shirts terror cells on them. Aren't you a bit deluded?

    What's democratic about today's débâcle?

  13. It would be a nice time for the government to visit Chiang Mai and Udon. Let see if Suthep wants to go there and turn himself in.

Gosh! How you worship your thuggish idols

  14. why don't the appointed senators 'step down for the sake of the country' and allow the people to choose their senators. why is it just the caretaker cabinet-which already resigned, that should resign again..

    You don't seem to understand.

    Your first point is unconstitutional

Your second is incorrect. They have not resigned
