Moving the boats from the pier in bad weather I can understand. Not guarding them I can't. Inside job? -
She changed the aircon again. Time for divorce?

He shouldn't give up his day job to become a comedian as it's not remotely amusing. -
British Man Allegedly Assaults Thai Village Manager
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Interesting, I'm English and have travelled the world for 40+ years without problems, I must have something wrong with me in your opinion as you count us all the same. I've seen plenty of foreigners cause trouble, but I don't blame their nationality. -
French Expat Rescues Two Men from Drowning in Lopburi
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand News
Sadly, that's true. I dragged a non swimmer in trouble from Jomtien beach and all he did was thank Buddha. His wife thanked me though. Maybe Buddha made me go to the beach that day and not my wife, as if! -

As a farang in the village. I have excellent Internet and access to all news channels including Asean Now. Why would I or the other farang in their villages not know about this? Unless they have chosen to go totally without Internet. -

Pattaya Goes Green with Sustainable Electric Transportation
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
First, the majority of power is fossil fuel generated. The engines are more efficient, charging them isn't, it's grossly inefficient, the more so over the distance to the charging source. Not from some oil propaganda I've read but from various scientific papers. Also I'm a highly qualified and experienced electrical/electronic engineer. -

Pattaya Goes Green with Sustainable Electric Transportation
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Is it really green? To my knowledge, almost all electricity in Thailand is generated using fossil fuel. All this does is shift the pollution from the vehicles back to the power station. Cleaner for Pattaya, a little, for Thailand, not really. -

nakhonandy replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The seat belts sign means passengers are free to move around, however the pilots always recommend keeping the seat belts fastened when sitting, precisely because of the possibility of turbulence. -
Midnight Mayhem: Tiger on the Prowl Alarms Thailand Locals
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand News
Not the place you'd expect to find a tiger normally. Can't say the response sounded too professional either. -
Aussie Woman Reveals Harrowing Tales from Infamous Thai Prison
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And how long ago was that written? I don't believe the gulags have changed much either. -

What is appropriate clothing for selling fruit in Thailand this year? She is not doing anything wrong and good luck to her. -
I love wine, but very rarely with Thai food I find beer better.

Thai Govt Gambling on Integrated Entertainment Complex with Casino
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I don't believe it's intended to specifically help the poor. More like an investment targeting tourists and wealthier Thai. -
EU-Thailand Pact: Visa-Free Access for Thai Passport Holders
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Two amazing places, Moscow is worth it too. I'm not sure now is the best time though. -
EU-Thailand Pact: Visa-Free Access for Thai Passport Holders
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I can't see this happening, especially when the EU are actually strengthening their borders. Trade deal yes, open visa access, no. -
Thailand sets target to recycle all plastic waste by 2027
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That is advanced recycling. In our village they are not separating it at all, plus they prefer burning it themselves. -
Thailand house of representatives approves same-sex marriage bill
nakhonandy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Amazing that it has taken so long, considering Thailand has always been accepting LGBT as long as I have been visiting, which is over 40 years.
