  1. American friend visits yearly. He doesn't have an invitation letter. Last yr he used an agent bc he needed it within 24 hrs. Embassy told him which agent to use.
  2. There is an officially published list. Saw it on X. Not much use if you can't read Thai.
  3. I saw this list on another platform. I can tell you that this shopping mall had a few loose ceiling panels which have long been put back. I use this mall daily. So do 1000nds of others.
  4. This is basically what I was told by tax office I went to. But they don't issue a paper confirming it. I already had a TIN. I never claimed withholding tax but a friend has done it for years.
  5. I went to tax office last week. I only have "income" from funds remitted. Didn't remit any in 2024. Was sent away with "no income", no tax payable". They didn't want me to file a form. I have no idea if this is correct. But obviously can't force them. This was in Bkk, Timesquare Bldg.
  6. Isn't basal cell pre-cancerous?
  7. We all have preferences. Bumrungrad Dermatology isn't my fav due to experience. Expensive doesn't automatically good. 15 yrs ago had a quote for biopsy of basal cell. Was 20K Baht. How much will it be now?
  8. No, this isn't the doc I meant. The doc hubby saw is a lady. 😉
  9. My husband had a basal cell on the edge of the ear. They didn't do a biopsy (BNH) but treated with liquid nitrogen. It was clear for 3 yrs till it came back. He saw several specialists in TH & Europe over about 8 yrs & all just continued with freezing when it resurfaced. To surgically remove it would have meant to cut part of the ear off. Ear isn't a good location for surgery. Samitivej Sukhumvit has a doc (Dr. Panitha?) who does a lot of foreigners with basal cell.
  10. I looked at the website in the past but it seemed a daunting procedure for a poor Thai speaker to get treated from booking appointment to finally getting treated. Did you just go to floor 8?
  11. I saw it later on. Apologies for asking.
  12. Was it in a government hospital? No private hospital does it for 40K for both eyes.
  13. Doctor told me to get it done when I feel I can't see comfortably anymore.
  14. But this is stuff for the diplomats. Consular staff deals with citizens problems.
  15. It is never free. You pay monthly contributions.
  16. Resentment is aimed at Israelis & not brcause a person is Jewish.
  17. There is a BIG difference in speaking and in writing. Just google it. While some Israelis may look like Arabs because they are Semitic, language is very different.
  18. You don't seem to understand the difference between Israeli & being just Jewish. I lived in a Jewish neighborhood for many years. No, nobody communicated in Hebrew but in the local language or sometimes Yiddish. You still got a lot to learn.
  19. Where else do they speak Hebrew & carry a bag with Hebrew print on it? From experience, Jewish folks in other countries communicate in the country's language.
  20. The answer is: yes they very often behave poorly. I come across them frequently in recent months. Polite, courtesy is unknown to them.
  21. I too assumed this was the case until CW immigration told me otherwise & we needed to import 2x 800.000 for 2 sep. Non-O retirement.
  22. France, Spain, are EU member countries. EU rules are universal. When you can't open an account in Belgium then you can't open one in Austria or in Spain unless you have a permanent address +++
  23. Did the ppl proposing to speed up seniors by giving them a Zimmer frame ever use one I wonder? It speeds nobody up but slows you down.
