As this was a corporate trip from Thailand to Switzerland the driver would most likely be Swiss and not an EU driver.Knowing how prim and proper the Swiss can be, and assuming the coach driver being Swiss, somehow cant see this being the driver somehow..
And sorry to say in Thailandthis MO fits, been to many tourist spots in Thailand and seen the locals just dumping stuff when finished with it
So with all things being equal, could driver have dumped this ?..yes but the higher probability sits with the tourists
The driver can be from any EU nationality i guess. Most Thai visit 7 EU countries in like 4 days. They sit in the coach ALL DAY long....And even bring their own cheap food it seems....maybe it's time for some attitude adjustment?

And yet not a word from the UN condemning the stabbing campaign by Hamas against Israelis. How does that work? Oh yes I remember, Saudi chairing the human rights board maybe?

Good grief... Your comment demonstrates it's not just Thais that need deucating about HIV! Do you think the other kids will catch the disease by drinking from the same cup or something? Or by standing next to them in the lunch queue maybe?
Although I don't necessarily agree with forcing her to undergo testing! I can see the Thai logic in it. Aides takes months to show up in the blood. The girls parents are both afflicted with it so their is a better chance she has caught this disease from them. In school, children are in such close quarters with other students that it is more than just a slight chance that disease can be caught by another student if she has it. But here is the Thai logic. Schools worry more about what parents say than anything. They want parents to keep their kids in that school. Parents that know the girls family all have aides are probably threatening the director about removing their kids from class. The parents probably aren't educated about aides enough anyways. But the director is demanding this because he has had it requested by other students families. Being this is Thailand, ignorance brings about fears and their fears take hold to make unreasonable demands. Just remember how one tambon tried to relocate a small community full of aides victims before.Despicable behavior and this from a school. If I had children on that school, I would find them another one. The ignorance is beyond belief.

Two things. Firstly you just believe the bar's story as fact? You don't think they might just make up a story like that so the barman doesn't seem to be just another psychotic thug? He clearly is a psychotic thug because he attacked the police too, or do you think they had drinks and tried to run away without paying too? More likely explanation would be they hiked up his bill with drinks he didn't have I reckon. Secondly, if their story is totally true, you think that behaviour is acceptable? You don't think a call to the police to come and sort it would be the way forward? You know, like non-psychotic murderous animals would usually do...A stupid move to try and get out of paying for drinks. If I tried to steal from Thais in this way I would expect the same treatment.
I really like the Thai style of getting a bill rather than having to pay for every single drink every single time you buy one like in pubs in other countries, where you have to wait at the bar to be served, then wait for the waiter to pour your drinks and then pay for your drinks and then have to wait again for your change.
If idiot farangs keep behaving like this it will ruin it for everyone. A couple of Canadian girls tried it in a go go a couple of weeks ago and I have personally seen it many times. Come on a holiday to Thailand and steal from the locals. Scummy.

They prefer the Thais as they are a bit more hardy and don't as quickly as the Bangladeshis and Nepalese... over 1200 just working on the stadiums for the 2022 World Cup

Oh the irony..

These bars that delight in beating foreigners should be named and shamed and boycotted. A lack of business/income due to their own actions might make them think twice about rumping the goose that lays their golden egg..... Scum.

It was a long time ago when I got my Thai license but I see to recall I needed my house certificate, a letter from immigration, non b visa etc etc... How does a tourist do all of this?

It doesn't matter who you blame, you just enjoy Jews being killed. You really, really should study the history of the area. You put your own timeline on history, for you history only beg and when Emperor Hadrian renamed Israel to Felastinia to insult the Jews (yes, that's how 'Palestine' began - as an insulting term towards the Jews), the 4000 years before that do not count in your weird little World do they. The fact that there wasn't any 'Palestinians' in the area until Arafat decided to call the Arabs, Palestinians, doesn't register with your view point either, does it? Nor the fact there has never, ever, been a Palestinian government before doesn't concern you either. The real victims are the Israelis, at every point.
Zionist males and females who buy cheap houses because they are built on stolen Palestinian land in the West Bank or because the bible tells them so, while the Palestinian owners are ethnically cleansed into refugee camps make me puke too. That is what motivates the resistance in the OP.
"Knives to defend themselves"? So the person who killed the mother of 4 in her own house in front of her kids was defending himself? People like you make me puke.Israel does not deserve to be among "civilized" nations when its army (IDF) acts as judge and executioner (murderers), neither its right to occupy, bulldoze or destroy Palestinian homes, nor bombing unarmed and defenseless Palestinians.
It is gd sad that these folks only have knives to defend themselves with.
Time for the executioners incl. your leader to appear before the court in The Hague. More than enough evidence.....
And before you well known folks respond, I am NOT a jew hater.
And she was a member of an organisation that actively recruits others to do the same.
No sympathy, apart from natural sympathy for an untimely death for all those killed...Palestinians and Israelis.
I blame the Israeli government for encouraging colonists to illegally occupy, rather than seek peace.

What's your suggestion then?Aaaaah, good to see the usual right(est) wing know-it-alls with their closed-borders-mentality are back in droves!
So...what is your solution guys?
Bomb the refugees boats in the Mediterranean Sea?
Or wait until the poorest of the poor, the ones who escaped with nothing more that their bare lives, make to the shore and then shoot them?
Humanitarians, the lot of you!

More interesting thanThailand ranking second is that from the top 12 countries with the highest road deaths, 10 are African!

I love the way everybody here thinks they're experts on classic cars (even though they have no idea what a Panther is) and experts on Buddhism ( even though they can't even spell 'Buddha'). Quality

Eh?
So does this mean that if I send 2,000,000 baht to my brother over there in North America because he's my brother and he in return to thank me for my generosity, he sends me a Lexes LS as a gift (donation), valued over here around 12,500.000 baht it would be OK and I shouldn't have to pay taxes?? Any one saying that they are a Monk, let alone an Abbot who has acquired expensive vehicles/toys while saying they are followers of Buda should be defrocked. Many are just living the life of luxury off the backs of the poor and should be treated for what they are,.....
Be kind Roo, reading can be such a chore to some.where did he get the money from to buy it? fair treatment would be de frocking IMO.
I suggest you read the article before sentencing him to a defrocking. He didn't buy it.
"The vehicle was a donation from one of the abbots disciples who was living in the United States at the time and all legal requirements"

The 1977 Panther is about the most collect able car in existence. It was powered by Jaguar so it is a classic and it is a Jaguar.Nothing says piety like a jaguar.
It's neither a Jaguar nor a classic.

The Junta produces enough bull-pap to help farmers across the land with manure.

Yeah right, like the F1 was going to be in BKK with a stage of the Tour de France..

Has anybody stopped to think she might have been in real trouble? She might have been rohypnoled, it's happened to me twice in Phuket while sat at a bar with friends. It's not pleasant.

That's the point. The rule says £18,600 annual income minimum. It does not say lowers monthly income multiplied by 12, it clearly states required annual income £18,600! I would go back to Thailand and I will but I'm getting treatment for cancer so I need another 18 months for it to hopefully clear. It's actually worse than £18,600. When I came back to the uk I started work where the bulk of the money is commission. I had a small salary of £15k and with commissions I earned just shy of £48k. Before you can apply you have to be earning this and on paye for a year first. So after a year made the application. It was noted on my bank statements and pay slips that on two months I had no commission. So they failed me. They told me they take the lowest income month and multiply that by 12!! When I pointed out that's not what the paper says I was told "that's how we do it". So £1500 odd down the drain and restart the whole process again! Company adjusted my salary to £25k for me just in case of a non commission month. I restart the whole process again in March. It's a joke.
The rules are the rules if you do not like it don't apply again and just leave the UK and go and live in Thailand and get your yearly visa.

Thai Energy Office warns motorists of danger of mobile phone use at petrol stations

Nah, doesn't happen. The real reason people are asked not to use their mobiles in fuel stations is that there is a possibility it might interfere with the wireless signal that goes from the pump to the kiosk showing fuel taken and cost of fuel taken. Nothing else.
