  1. Plastic Muslims. What about all of their 'no poison shall pass my lips' stuff. I'm amazed at how Muslims who are not supposed to smoke drink or listen to music seem to forget all about it when they get to Thailand and other countries..

    A-Rabs

I've had a few altercations in the past (UK) with these sort of nationals who always pull a knife cause they can't fight. It's their birthright so don't get cut u about it.

I teach Krav Maga and have taught around the World, knife defences being a big part and what is strange regarding knife cultures (birthrights as you rightly say!) is the difference from country to country! They're all slags though, best thing is defence by distance - be somewhere else!

  2. Hamas are quite possibly trying to distract Israel from dismantling its tunnel network. At least fourteen have 'collapsed' of late. All those thousands of tons of building materials which could have been used for urban regeneration turned into terror tunnels, which were then turned into rubble. What a waste.

The "terror tunnels" is the only way for people to get building materials in to Gaza as Israel is blocking that, medical supplies, school books and anything else needed to build a peace full society. Israel don't want peace with the Palestinians because the only way to get peace is Israel returning the land they have been occupying for over 50-60 years.

So the building materials used for the tunnels..Do you think they arrived by magic or something?

  3. BOYCOTT HUA HIN until there is justice !

Never mind Hua Hin, Boycott Thailand until there is justice in all the tourist resorts. I lived in Thailand for 15 years until I had to return to the UK due to cancer. My brother and his family visited me a dozen or so times. Even before this latest atrocity, he had vowed to never visit Thailand even though he had deeply loved the country before. I make him right.

  4. I'm very glad I don't live anywhere near this bloke and his eighty disease ridden, mangy curs. The stray dog problem is bad enough in this Country without individuals such as this feeding the bloody things. 50K a month, I'll bet there's many a Thai orphanage that could do with that sort of money rather than this bloke wasting money on these creatures.

OK I know I'll get slack from bleeding heart dog lovers for this, but I hate the damn things.

Not happy unless you're whining are you. If he was giving to an orphanage (for all we know, he might be anyway) you would whine that he was only helping one orphanage while others don't get his help and all the while giving nothing back to society yourself.

  5. I'm amazed that the documentary did not mention (and this forum seems to have forgotten) the Thai taxi driver who was forced by the police to give a statement against the two lads, under threat of pain and all sorts of other threats. The guy refused which shows that there are some Thais prepared to do the right thing - or rather, are not prepared to do the wrong thing. For me this is a big thing, the fact that the police felt the need to manufacture 'evidence'.

  6. since when has the US been a friend of the UK? I remember how they betrayed us over the sovereignty of the Falklands. They have no friends and are only interested in their own agendas. I don't really care about that but people need to understand that Obama has no friendship with the UK unless it suits him. As for leaving or staying? Do what your brain tells you but read up as much as you can from both side first and be careful to filter out the bs

  8. What a hypocrite! All of his adult life fighting against anything from the EU and 6 months after becoming labour leader, a complete 180! So this <deleted> is not different from any other politician, self-serving and corrupt as hell. It doesn't matter if the 'no' vote is double the 'yes' vote, we will remain in the EU. We will be controlled by an unelected quorum of greedy politicians building an empire without though to anybody except themselves. Corbyn says the EU has to change and we can only make that happen from within.. One country out of 29.. Hasn't worked so far has it

Even if the Brexit side wins, we are forever doomed to be ruled over by a greedy, out-of-touch elite. All Brexit would do would be to bring the focus back towards London whilst removing lots of workers' protection that our government hates so much because it prevents their school friends from becoming even richer.

You are spot on and Corbyn has just shown everybody that he is no different from the greedy, out of touch elite - in fact he's worse! The first sniff of a bit of money and power and he gets his tits out for the public! The thing is though, we can at least vote for which bent corrupt slag will be our PM as we do elect our PM and politicians. We have no say at all with the EU as they are not elected, but appointed

"The Songkran festival of today of today can cause aggression"... Like a Saturday night,

a birthday, a funeral, a football match or any other day, anywhere in the World then..

Yes,,, But,, I can easily avoid or chose not to participate in the above activities and yes

i won't be there at my funeral either because the activities mentioned here may only

occur for the day or night or a few hours, now Eienstein tell me in a sober way how i

can avoid the 2 weeks of madness ?

I personally choose not to be in South East Asia for the event but maybe i'll change.

2 weeks? Since when has Songkran ever lasted 2 weeks? 3 days max in Chiang Mai. I just don't go out for 3 days. You really don't need to be Einstein to work that one out. Maybe for somebody with an IQ of an iguana it might seem you'd need the brains of Einstein to just stay at home for 3 days but it's really not that much of an intellectual challenge for the rest of us.

I don't live there, but I know Songkran can last for NINE days in Pattaya.

    FYI. http://songkranday.com/songkran-2016-dates-when-is-songkran-2016/ Three days.

  12. Once again this confirms my argument that the Songkran festival of today can cause aggression and with conflicts arising. Very different to the tradition of sprinkling water on people than firing and drenching people. Brink back the old ways.

    Except Glastonbury then?

    No, not except Glastonbury. http://www.nme.com/news/u2/57554

  14. If a foreign criminal wanted to stay somewhere safe and without the b/s immigration rules by marrying a local why would they do this in Thailand? Immigration for a married person still requires proof of income just like a retirement visa. If they wanted to do it simply they would go to Brazil and do a Ronnie Biggs. The police and immigration don't care about your history if you marry a local! Mind you, if the bird kicks you into touch you have to be out of the country within 7 days.
