Erm, just one SMALL point for as much as I dislike Trump, and Hilliary for that matter, he actually stood for election.

I think pressure or payment would be out of my sight, so maybe yes and maybe no. I'd guess to suggest that there is pressure, IOU's, chips, back scratching, favors, etc being exchanged is opening yourself to a lawsuit or some sort; so I won't.

Could be a double bluff. Telling the court he's fit to stand trial could raise suspicion he's unfit to stand trial as unfit is a valid excuse for the hiso to escape judgement and his faculties are too impaired to realise.
A wonderfully devious idea but probably too complicated for Thailand, much easier to bung the judge and court officials.

I have no idea - it's your speculation, not mine.
I'll stick with MY speculation then if you don't mind.

Would you want to live near an illegal storage of explosives?
Nobody would but how long has it been going on without any complaints ?
How many people complaining have bought fireworks from this shop in the past but because of the current situation decide to be good citizens ?

Nott said !! not my fault !! ok so who was to blame then???
Who grabbed the man? who hit him? Who behaved like a spoilt brat?
Nott did all that, nobody else.
Time for the case to get fixed in court. Then the momentary insanity defence
He'll look good in a orange robe too.

Thai court case watchers will recognise this move as the indicator that the deal has been brokered and the fix is in. The path ahead for the case has now been plotted and all the players are on board.
What specifically that path is, we, the general public, will not find out for some time as these scripted dramas take months or years to play out.
Enough time to get the case out of the headlines and for attention to wane.

Hard to believe the BIB are actually doing something of their own volition and without some sort of pressure or payment.
-
Yes it just happened to coincide with Loy Kratong.
As I understand it there were no official fireworks show anywhere and the public were requested to refrain from using them .
This is certainly one way of ensuring compliance with the ' request ' and a testament to all the righteous Thais who felt obliged to complain.
Perhaps a warning to all shopkeepers what to expect at the end of December and maybe the Minister of Justice will issue another beat them up suggestion.

But looking hot exactly what most farlangs here like/need. ???
Why bring foreigners into this as it's all about Thais.
The person on the car, the people videoing and the reporter, not a foreigner in sight but why pass up a chance to have a dig ?

Orange robes are not bullet proof, there will come a time... at the moment it pays not to rock the boat, if you think the army are afraid of anything, or anyone, since a certain event came to pass, you are not paying attention.
I can assure you I am paying attention and there is something I'd like to say about the future and how it will affect the army but if I did the forum rules would be the least of my problems.
Maybe you should consider issues involving orange robes before the sad event and how they were sidestepped all the way up to the PM.

how would the 44 thingy be used anyway? hanging after an army court hearing for anyone caught overloading?
announcement made, move onto the next issue. revisit with a similar announcement at future dates.
Exactly, grab a headline to make it look as if something's being done then file and forget until it needs to be trotted out again.
The words can be rearranged to make it look like a new initative.
Some members will remember the game on the old show Sunday Night At The London Palladium where the contestant was invited to arrange the words into a well known phrase or saying only here it's a well used phrase.

no one is bigger than the army, not in thailand anyway. they ran thaksin out and they will run yingluck out as well, or lock her up.
Funny how, for example, people wearing orange robes can run rings around them.

I'd be off like a shot. I'd never again have anything to do with a woman who pulled a knife on me.
I wonder if she always has it in the pickup or just took it along for the occasion ?

His drinkingmates will be laughing so much now. Why they didn't blur his face? Guess he will sue her for that. Also i hope she gets arrested for wielding a huge knife in public in a buddhist country.
And where is her black shirt?
Maybe keeping her black shirt nice for the husband's funeral if he does it again.

Sad thing about this, is that it draws peoples attention away from things that really matter.
Like trying to find a long term solution to the rice farmers problems.
Or the PM visiting rubbish disposal efforts in the north.

Another positive expectation based on hope but of course the world is totally in tune with LoS.

Where's the choice that neither candidate was exactly suitable ?

Will he wait until it's clear which team will win this season'r EPL and claim his magic cloth helped them too ?
-
What are they on about ?
I'm sure the bills could be approved now, if they haven't been already, and no need for all the BS that they're working their balls off.
TIT, nothing's done at the double although they are good at leaving things to the very last minute !

Yes they can't be taking it seriously as it's only to be strictly enforced not a purge or crackdown.
Gen. Prayut Plays Down Trump Comparisons

Yes another major difference between the two as Prayut doesn't have to worry about a ' most unpopular candidate ' tag since he never bothered with anything so trivial an an election.
