1. Lol! Bus driving far too fast on a moderate slope. Does that bus not have low gears to engage to slow it down?
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by steep and curving routes frequently used by tourist transport in Phuket.
NO! NO! NO! - this incident serves as a reminder of how badly-maintained buses are, how badly-trained bus drivers are, and how the brain-size of a typical Thai bus driver is similar to the size of a pea.....
2. No they did not - they fully supported me. A local police guy poked his nose in. The government department told him to butt out.
3. Free speech is only important when you are involved in politics. I have zero interest in politics (because ALL politicians are corrupt). I have learnt to look after myself and those I love. Everyone else can go <deleted> themselves 🙂
4.
Most western people view free speech as a fundamental human right...
Meaningless! Who gives a flying <deleted> about free speech? I'd rather live somewhere with decent schools, hospitals etc, and where I can get on with my life without the state poking its nose in.... Most people don't give a damn about free speech, (unless you're into politics). Give me China or Laos any day over the UK/USA/Australia. (excluding the crap hospitals in Laos!!)
5. If 'freedom' is based on freedom of speech, then IMHO the vast majority of civilians would not consider that a useful freedom. Perhaps if you are some political activist, but again IMHO I think most people just want to get on with their lives without government interference (ie nanny state).
6. Kids were smart in those days... 🙂
7. Wrong! Boomers in vented the transistor. Boomers invented lasers. In fact, boomers invented a hell of a lot of things 🙂 (Just as other generations did).
8. With my scientist hat on, I wouldn't say that it is beneficial for your health, but as an emergency short-term solution in a desert, it might keep you alive. (Sitting in a prison cell is not an emergency, dehydration scenario...) Pee is about 95% water, but the other 5% is urea and excess chemicals/minerals in your body that your excretory system (kidneys etc) are filtering out from your blood. So drink pee for a lengthy period and you're just putting those excess chemicals back into your body again. I know some people claim wonderful health properties from drinking pee, but the science doesn't stack up.
9. Yep, it was a bit of a metaphorical question 🙂 As a scientist I know the answer. Did you know that bottled drinking water in Singapore is often made from recycled pee? I told some of my young online Chinese students that fact and they almost cancelled their trip to Singapore! 🙂
10.
If you come to Thailand, stick to beer ... ...
Most of it tastes like piss anyway, so he should have felt right at home drinking his own 🙂
11. This old video popped up on YouTube just now - It's from 13 years ago but is probably more truthful about Labour than ever before! Watch and laugh (or cry...) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4_WuFTX-5E
12. Dr Google says about French sexual habits: "In a 2023 study, the practice of anal intercourse in France has risen to 38.9% among women and 57.4% among men....." ... although to be fair, that report doesn't mention whether this (more than 50% of all French men) are having anal sex with humans or with some other animal... 🙂
13. Karma, don't mess with dentists and definitely don't bite their lips....
14. Tourists should have a mental-state evaluation before they are let into this country. There seem to be too many nutters and mental snowflakes. Science question: If you continually drink your own urine, is this an example of perpetual usage, where you no longer need to drink from an external source? Thirsty prisoners want to know... 🙂
15. [quout] ... Authorities believe Somchai lost control on the dark, straight stretch of road, leading to the fatal crash. ...
Perhaps that should read "Authorities believe Somchai was as pissed as a fart and mistook the canal for a nice new smooth road...
16. Careful there! They might want to take you back to their place...
17.
... He's worth reading and listening to.
That is your opinion... I've never heard of him TBH
18. So how are your hemorrhoids then?? The nurse told me that you complained about itching when fingering your anus...... 🙂
19. https://us06web.zoom.us/j/5807927741 Yes! (I do have concerns about this sometimes!!). I once entered my zoom room to find my young student having a w*** on-camera!! Whoops lol! But everyone is human and no harm done... As I get more senile, I double-check that I have my jeans on before I exit my condo!
20. I bought it for the science experiment, but of course couldn't resist testing it out my todger. I was actually amazed at the result and am still trying to get back into my room... 🙂 (Although my tone is rather light-hearted, my OP was in all seriousness about this device which is intended for (probably) older guys with ED. Considering the cost of Cialis etc and the time to take effect, a once-off cost of 299 baht and very good results in just a few minutes seems news worth sharing.
21. Huh, I stood in the corridor of course.... 🙂
22. A penis pump is for men of all sizes who have ED. It only temporary increases the blood flow into the penis - it doesn't make your member permanently bigger. Besides, as the adage goes "it's not the size but what you do with it).
23. It's interesting! I went to my orders received list on Lazada, clicked on the order for that penis pump and got a message saying it was no longer stocked by Lazada... very strange. Perhaps they consider it a sex toy now. But I would say that it is a medical device. It was certainly posted to me from a Thai location (2 day delivery). Aliexpress stocked them also.
