We put on the side Reality since january 2020... Now Reality is coming back. With a vengeance. Do you seriously believe that millions, dozen of millions of people (just for South East Asia) will continue to keep quiet... after loosing everything ? That we can continue with closures, the destruction of the economy ? That's a wet dream for terrified old baby boomers in western countries. Aka : an ultra minority as far as the whole planet is concerned. Thailand will eventually take the same path. Because it has no choice. Sure the Bangkok elite won't be happy... Covid is so fashion. Especially when you suffer no consequences. But zero hope for millions of people that's a recipe for a revolution. And within the already volatile political situation of the country, since many years... it would be plain madness to ignore this.

That's a ridiculous statement. Because a lot of people would have refused such a deal... if told. They were misled. Authorities said : "take the jabs, and the world will go back to normal". But basically : it's a scam. It can't work with a coronavirus that mutate/recombines a lot. Now... you want a jab every 6 months. Sure. Explain to us how you'll achieve that for 7 billions people ? Look at the problems that Thailand faces with just... 1 jab. It's the proof that such an idea is absurd.

I concur. When its defiency is exposed (vaccine fiasco), Thailand tends to overdo things. That's a common law that applies to any kind of subject (from institutions to simple individuals). 26 % of the population have received a dose (among them 7,5 % double)... And the gvt is already talking about the "Thai Covid Pass" ("to authorize access to restaurants for instance and other activities", said the spokeperson after monday meeting) ! ???? They try to overdo, and to be seen as the good pupil within the class. So, to impose a vaccination to foreigners living here, will be such an easy target for the gvt, to gain face and to try to mask its own limitations... My point : there will no "medical" debate.... It's just too easy (during the visa renewal process), too tempting ! Therefore, they will do it. Probability is very high.

A clear downward trend from end of june to now. From +4 % to almost 0 now. 3 explanations possible : -thai doctors treat better -the virus is peaking -the vaccines start to work (reduce the number of severe cases) A mix of all 3. Add to the equation the fact that even without any human intervention... a virus always "peaks" (bell shape). So yes i know it's fashion and easy to laugh about Prayuth... but as a matter of fact... data prove him right. This Covid "wave" is almost over. Sorry for the doom lovers.

I mean the banks inside shopping malls are closed since 2 weeks. And ? And now we reopen them. So ? What happened during those 2 weeks ? ???? The virus was successfully defeated by closing shopping malls ? Especially the banks ? And furthermore now, if we open the banks again... then why not phone shops ? Afterall phones are "important". My point is : this decision highlights the absurdity of the whole scheme.

At least, we have a "timeline"... 2 weeks per 2 weeks. ???? It helps. The main problem is : even with 70 or 80 % of the population fully vaccinated... the virus could still be there. Look at Israel (or Malta, or UAE etc.) Massive (and early) vaccination program (started december 19) with Pfizer. The idea that "vaccine = end of the problem = going back to normal" is deeply flawed. Confronted to thoses facts (the vaccine do not prevent transmission and contamination, the herd immunity with a virus that mutates/recombines a lot and that has animal reservoirs is a fiction) countries start to think "differently" like Iceland or the UK... The virus will always be there, it's okay. But I'm very concerned about Thailand... i'm not sure they can think out of the box... The "zero Covid" ideology is very strong in Asia and South-East Asia. Add to this... the tense political situation (factorized by the economic and social situation)... That's not a good cocktail recipe...

You forget something very important regarding UE : the "vaccine pass" ! Without it, in France for instance, you can't go to restaurants, museums, large shopping malls, use trains, airplanes, visit someone in an hospital etc. The "vaccine pass" is based on a personnalized QR code. So the question is : how foreign tourists who wish to go to France can get their "vaccine pass" with the famous QR code ? That's not... nothing. And furthermore we need context : it is considerably higher than... other vaccines. Because that's another way of looking at the situation : compare Covid vaccines to other vaccines... like those against the flu (which kills people every year since.... well forever). (for Switzerland, from 2011 to 2019, 10 466 560 vaccinated against the flu... 2 deaths) The point is : death (and other negative effects) associated with Covid vaccines are already (in 6 months) totally outside "normality" (based on history of vaccines). That's a point to consider.

At last ! Common sense. The good doctor should add : vaccinate ONLY and QUICKLY fragile people (old and/or sick [diabetes, hypertension, obesity etc.]). Those are the real targets of Covid. Right now in this country, some young 25 years old, in perfect health, take vaccine... while old and sick people are still waiting ! It's absurd. The vaccines DO NOT PREVENT transmission. Therefore, we need to focus on mitigating severes cases and prevent death... That should be our only target. And who suffer from severe cases ? Who die from Covid ? Old and/or sick people. We know the profiles since 18 months. To summarize : -vaccinate as fast as possible the real targets of Covid (and do not waste vaccine on young people in perfect good health) -reopen totally the economy (restaurants, shops, schools, garden, swimming pools, public parks etc.) The virus will "go through" and it will eventually die out (because natural herd immunity)... We will prevent many casualties thanks to vaccines.

The herd immunity was not only a "dream" but basically... a scam. Even WHO said 7 months ago : "The proportion of the population that must be vaccinated against COVID-19 to begin inducing herd immunity is not known." ???? Vaccine or no vaccine, the virus will find its ways. The real question is : are we ready to stop the drama, and the psychosis about "cases" (the famous "positive but asymptomatics cases") ? Are we ready to acknowledge that to die at 80 years old is perfectly normal (from any cause) ? Are we ready to acknowledge that obesity for instance is a real morbidity, and a big killer in the world, and that we should help those people, with prevention rather than to "lockdown" and close everything ? This morning i went to Makro. Impossible to buy a frying pan (Covid rules you understand, dark red province, terrible)... but the alley with...weighing scales was open. I could buy one. This is the mindset we need to let go. So are we ready or not ? Or do we wish to continue destroying the society, and the people around the world ?
