  1. Good for him. But do you know, from a scientific point of view, what are the effects of those products... on the long term ? You do not. Basically : you trust blindly a commercial/private company that was condemned, multiple times, in the US for corruption, bribes, "fraudulent marketing, with huge fees, etc. Source : https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-announces-largest-health-care-fraud-settlement-its-history I agree : it's not because Pfizer has sinned in the past, that they sin today... Fair enough. But it's common sense to be suspicious.... That's the real scientific way of looking at the situation. We have to repeat the obvious : NO ONE has any data on the medium/long term effects of those products on the human body. All the medias, politicians who say "I know it's safe" are LYING, point blank. And just to remind you : it's now obvious that those product mess with menstrual cycles of women. Source : https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/medicines-and-healthcare-products-regulatory-agency-britain-imperial-college-london-pfizer-moderna-b1921316.html Dozen of thousands of women are afflicted by those "effects". Medias in UK, France, USA are talking about it. We see even MENOPAUSE women.... who HAVE AGAIN their periods..... !!!!! Think about it for a while : how come a "vaccine" against a "coronavirus".... that gives mRNA instruction to the human body to produce the famous "spike" protein.... can mess up with menstrual cycles... What's the link ? It's not natural. It's not normal. Just think about it.
  2. Aren't you tired to repeat ad nauseam the same empty ideas ? Can you describe us what is common between : -a vaccine against diphtheria, developped 100 years ago, made in the classic way, used widely since long time, so for which we have tons of real data about its risks, benefits etc. -a mRNA product, totally new technology, never used on a wide scale, that does not prevent transmission, contamination... and for which we have ZERO data on long term use. It's fascinating. So to answer the OP : don't give this product to your child. It's basic common sense.
  3. Indeed. After more than 1 year and a half, they still refuse to understand. It's pathetic. Every week they try to sugarcoat the "sandbox"... To the point of total absurdity ! Look at their sign now ! "alcohol allowed" and even "Live music !" ???? That's a very powerful message for... tourists... They are supposed to be thrilled, wai, and say "thank you !"
  4. Indeed... Millions of children... And it's like no one gives a fxxx. We wait. The confusion is total. Some international schools (Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, Bangkok) are open, normally... For the rest, nobody knows nothing. The Big Silence. What are they waiting for ? We don't know. It seems that local authorities will give the green light to each school.... Based on what metrics ? What are the goalposts ? We don't know. Regarding the thai schools (public), the confusion is even more extreme... People say "november 1", but they have no clue.
  5. The same governor... has just signed an order to lift the ban on alcohol in restaurants ! Vaccine for babies. Beer for adults. It makes perfectly sense. ???? More seriously ; the virtue signalling race has started... Wait for the next governor who will ask for vaccination of babies 6 months old....
  6. Exactly. And people forgot. To remember this, and the reasons, reveals the big picture. Link : https://aseannow.com/topic/1233304-restaurants-bars-open-serving-alcohol-or-not-the-farce-that-is-thailands-covid-alcohol-restrictions/?tab=comments#comment-16858566
  7. I like very much the live music for restaurants. 3 people max in the band. ???? No matter the size of the room. What matters is the number of musicians... 3 it's okay. 4 no. And in any case, the music has to stop at 9 PM (the virus is tired, and there is the curfew). Or is it 10 PM ? Doesn't matter. It's striking... how people can still be fooled by all the "Covid apparatus" and can still trust any of those "authorities"...
  8. Not only. You can't analyse the very thai way about alcohol... if you dismiss its long history... the reasons, the forces etc. It all started with Thaksin when this "outsider" prime minister, although very powerfull, had to "overdo" things in order to be accepted among the Bangkok Traditionnal Elite (he never succeeded of course, hence the multiple coups against him). The idea was to caress the specific elitist anti alcohol groups (visualize the pooying women with the ridiculous hairdressing)... old "rombières" like we say in France, but highly regarded. USA had the same groups before Prohibition (linked to christian groups). Anyway. Thaksin started the war against "nightlife" too (with the "drugs" war among other)... Closing bars and clubs early. It was a war against fun, because Elite doesn't like fun. Then we had the insane laws regarding timing of sales (in supermarket, restaurants etc). It's okay to buy from 11 AM to 2 PM and after 5 PM. You wan't a beer with your late spanish meal at 2pm01 ? "no sir, can not". You can drink to death at 1pm50 but not 2pm03... Again : the idea was to please those groups. But it was not enough. It's never enough. Then : we had alcohol ban during... budhist days... and during elections days !!! To the point where a foreigner, a tourist, can not order a beer in a freaking restaurant or a big hotel in Bangkok because it's "election day"... ! -"But sir, i'm not thai, i can not vote... so why this law applies to me ? Why do you care ?" -"Do not ask question". ???? Add to this, the military coups (anti fun by essence)... add the 20 years or so of those stupid and insane regulations (hence habits)... and voilà the thai situation. Now it's engrained. You have a new virus ? Any "emergency" ? Paf ! Ban alcohol ! Alcohol is the convenient ennemy. The scapegoat. For everything and for any politician and/or military officer and/or civil servant without any talent and imagination but who want to "do something". It's easy to do, it's virtue signalling. The obsessed groups are still there. Now they are younger, and they have military clothes... And it's even more perverse than elitist and/or religious groups : because most of them drink themselves... but the idea is pure control : "i can but you can't". "Why ?" "Because." Pure evil.
  9. It's funny how this mayor tries -very hard- to exist. One pointless announcement per day. Nothing can be planned when we still live under the "emergency decree", which has been extended to november 30. Ergo... a music festival in november... is just another wet dream from useless officials.
  10. Food and now... a live band. Great. But still can not order a beer nor a glass of wine. Naughty naughty boys. It's bad for you. Perhaps at Christmas, if you behave. Meanwhile... the only real news that matters : the "emergency decree" is extended to november 30... But... wait a minute... what "emergency" are we talking about ? Hospitals are overwhelmed by Covid ? Corpses on the streets ? And what about vaccination ? Not good enough ? ???? What's the goalpost ? The end ? The target ? Strange, nobody ask those questions.
  11. In that case, it's even worse : Reuters -and others- take their desires for reality. Quarantine is reduced -okay- from october 1. But nobody said nothing about scrapping totally quarantine on november 1. The whole charade is a misunderstanding around the stupid slogan "reopen on november 1". Nothing will "reopen" on november 1. It's a fake news. Emergency decree was extended to november 30. Borders are still closed and will remain closed (since april 3 2020 !!!!) That's the reality.
  12. There is a big misunderstanding... No way the quarantine will be dropped on november 1. The "reopening" of BKK on november 1 is just a gimmick. A motto. Meanwhile : quarantine (even though reduced), borders closed, COE, curfew (reduced by 1 hour...), no alcool, no schools. The biggest news : the emergency decree is EXTENDED to november 30 ! Voilà the "reality".
  13. So it means everything is over on Koh Samui, right ? We can go to restaurants, the bars can open, we can have fun, no more masks, no more ban on alcool sales, no more curfew, etc. No ? ???? Too bad.... So when will it end ? If 100 % of the population vaccinated are not enough... then what is the next goalpost ?
  14. A few weeks ago they said that the condition for school reopening on november 1 was.... 85 % of children 12 to 18 years... vaccinated with Pfizer (+ staff and teachers)... As usual, maximum confusion. Today, they gave news about quarantine, curfew.... but still nothing clear about schools. It's mind blowing.
  15. You are badly misinformed... Go out a little bit of your Bangkok condo... Many people up country are well informed, and understand that the fanatism about those products, demonstrated by Bangkok authorities... is not normal. There is a large number of people who distrust this puppets governement (and they're right about it). So, all your numbers (80 %, 70 %) are just... numbers, fantasized by some Bangkok elites, totally cut out from reality.
  16. If they really apply the rule of "85 % vaccinated" (children from 12 to 18 years old + staff + teachers)... then the date of november 1 is already... a lie. 3 to 4 weeks between the 2 doses for Pfizer... And international schools have holidays end of october.... So at best november 15... Or december 1.
  17. 20 % of zero... it's a big number indeed ???? It's sad to see those grownup people to continue to dream like children.... Pathetic.
  18. Indeed. These thai doctors are maniacs. Source : https://pmj.bmj.com/content/97/1148/400
  19. The association can meet and fantasize as much as it wants... The fact is quarantine will remain for vaccinated tourists ! That's the lastest "CCSA proposal", from sub committee etc. Source : National News Bureau of Thailand https://www.facebook.com/130075662049/posts/10158267604717050/ The high season is already dead "on arrival". One more time. Airlines companies understood it recently. The hotels still live in hope-lalaland.
  20. No. Zero chance. Singapore had the same language... several months ago... And now they "plunge" again into the delirium (work from home, schools online etc.) because of "new cases" (asymptomatic most of them). Source : https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/work-from-home-to-be-the-default-for-a-month-from-sept-27-moh And despite the fact that their population is massively vaccinated. The question is very simple. You are a governor of a small province. Then you learn that a few cases have been found in a factory, in a school, on a market etc. What will you do ? YOU WILL CLOSE. CLOSE. AND CLOSE AGAIN. that's the only reaction you are wired to have to have (save face, do not take any risk, to look good, to show that you care etc.). There is no way that the rational reasoning, showed by this Bangkok elite doctor, will be applied on the ground, in Thailand.
  21. But... but... they told us that it was perfectly safe ? And with a very clear "risks/benefits balance"... August 25 : "Thailand urges pregnant women to get vaccinated, cites higher risks" Source : https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/thailand-urges-pregnant-women-get-vaccinated-cites-higher-risks-2021-08-25/ September 13 : "Thailand begins mass vaccination of pregnant women" Source : https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thailand-begins-mass-vaccination-of-pregnant-women/ Having second thoughts now ? ????
  22. Recombination is the real issue there, more than mutations. Coronaviruses are very good at recombination. This ability to "exchange" genetic material with another... virus. Source : https://journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/JVI.01394-09
  23. Welcome to the surprising and amazing world of "Covid"... more a geopolitical matter rather than a "health" issue... You were warned. And to be fair, it's global. China for instance doesn't recognize... Pfizer ! A chinese private company made a deal with Pfizer to import their product... Guess what.... Several months later.... the chinese authorities haven't moved a finger to approve the deal... Source : https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-08-27/china-misses-target-on-biontech-pfizer-shot-raising-questions
  24. Actually, it's quite the opposite. The local authorities are systematically overdoing it... Plus virtue signalling and the obsession to be seen in a good light by central gvt and Bangkok... However... and as usual in Thailand, speeches, "orders" signed by governors every week (they do love their paperwork, do they ?) and the reality on the ground.... are totally different. Experiences show that you can travel from Bangkok to Korat, or to Chiang Mai.... without any problem, or police control. Experiences show that you can travel from Bangkok to... Krabi without any problems, or police control. And even to Koh Samui after. Only Phuket, with so much "world" attention, and its position as an island, is doing the job... So back to square one : the ban on interprovincial travels is just void... And it has no effect whatsoever on the virus (like all the other gimmicks : curfew, alcool ban, take away restaurants etc.). It's just PR. It makes the worried people feel better about the situation... but after 18 months we could assume they would have started to understand. Alas... that's not the case.
  25. The scenario is now very clear : small changes, but nowhere the so called "grand reopening". 10 days quarantine for unvaccinated visitors and 7 days for vaccinated visitors... equal to = no tourists at all. It will only be beneficial for... expats (like ASQ and the so called Phuket Sandbox scheme). We are going to save 4 days. Great. ???? The suicide continues, unabated. It's fascinating, from an intellectual point of view. But of course, it's tragic for millions of thai people.
