Do you carry your passport with you?
Myran replied to Hummin's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Did you seriously create a poll with the question, "Do you carry your passport?", without including the answer, "Yes, I carry my passport"? -
You letting yourself get ripped off is hardly evidence for Thailand not being cheap. And no, that's not a normal price, even for a tourist place.

Is there a queue at the Land Transport Office, or what's the reason for it possibly taking weeks or months, since you already have the documents?

"Blocking whole countries seems counter productive as people without VPNs might still want to shop whilst they are on holiday for example." It's absolutely productive, otherwise they wouldn't do it. Should they have to endure countless amounts of fraudulent or disruptive behavior originating from a specific country just because a handful of legitimate websites visitors can't be bothered to use a VPN? The world doesn't revolve around you.

Completely impossible to answer since you're not giving any details whatsoever. "If I go to a mechanic, can they fix my car?"

Serial killer The Serpent, Charles Sobhraj, to be freed from Nepal jail

Why? Let him rot in there. Why should people like him ever get the opportunity to live a happy life? -
URGENT - VAT SCAM at large - advice please . . . .
Myran replied to TorquayFan's topic in General Topics
As already pointed out, not doing a factory reset is a huge risk. Beside the visible app that you uninstalled, there's no telling what might have been installed that you can't see. -
Lazada is hardly to blame for your inability to take a picture.

Myran replied to TorquayFan's topic in General Topics
A factory reset can be done through the phone's settings. Just remember to save any information, numbers, pictures, etc. that you don't want to lose, as the phone will get completely wiped. I don't think a new SIM is strictly necessary, but simply deleting the app won't be enough, as it might have installed other stuff that you can't see. If unsure, go to a phone shop you trust and they'll help you. -

If she actually downloaded something to her phone, make sure to do a factory reset. You don't want spyware or a keylogger on it. -

I very much doubt your wife is giving you the whole story. My bet would be that she was duped into providing way more information than she's letting on, and now she doesn't want to lose face by admitting it.- 63 replies

Why? You don't seem to have a problem judging others.

Airline refunded me to much for unused ticket!
Myran replied to Hummin's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Money paid out erroneously to you is not yours to keep in most countries, just like when a random person mistakingly sends money to your account. Keeping the money would likely be considered a crime. -
I can't imagine that would fly well with eBay. Have you reported it to their support?

Not the case here. It was the brand new model of the year that had just been released. -
Price Negotiation for Automobiles & Motor Show Pricing
Myran replied to JuanMatus's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
You can absolutely negotiate. We got a 60,000 baht discount on our car (plus a bunch of extras). We then had to wait a couple of weeks for the dealership to get a hold of a car with the colour scheme we wanted. -
No Car Blue Book, Car Not In Your Name.
Myran replied to pleple's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
It goes without saying that you can't transfer a car to your name without the actual owner's permission, even if you happen to be in possession of the vehicle.
