  1. What's normal differs from province to province.
  2. There are several Buddhist "heavens" that you come to after death and stay in before you are reborn.
  3. That's alum and it works amazingly well (coming from someone who stinks like an Indian curry shop). You need to wet it before applying (or apply to a wet armpit). It's pretty much the only deodorant I've found that actually works for me.
  4. Nope. A visa's duration is the amount of time you have to use it to enter the country. It's basically an invitation saying: "This person fulfills the conditions to enter the country based on this premise. Please allow them to enter". It is then up to to the immigration officer to admit the person and give them an permit to stay (or not) based on the particular entry. The fact that there are specific lenghts of permits to stay associated with specific entries do not mean they're the same. You cannot overstay a visa, you can only overstay your permit to stay. Your visa's validity has nothing to do with the length of your permit to stay.
  5. Expressing that telling suicidal people to kill themselves is disgusting isn't something that belongs in a safe space. It should be common sense and the bare basics of compassion. Unsurprising that there are edgelords on AN that can't reach even that extremely low-set bar. Hopefully you won't tell a relative or loved one to jump if they're ever up on that ledge.
  6. To all the dimwits "confused" by this statement. You can't overstay a visa. A visa is used to enter the country. It doesn't allow you to stay for any amount of time and can't be overstayed. An extension/permit to stay allows you to stay in the country and can be overstayed. And no, they're not at all the same. No need to thank me, I'm happy to help the less fortunate.
  7. Ooof, 3 out of 3 incorrect. Now I'm starting to think Big C might be better off without you.
  8. I was just there and all the employees would talk about was your departure. They're absolutely devastated.
  9. This is a discussion forum, snowflake. If you can't handle people having opinions and commenting on what is being written, stick to your diary.
  10. After you've connect the phone to the computer, you'll likely have a notification on your phone. If you press that, you should be able to change the type of connection you have to the computer, one of which being "File explorer" or something similar. After you've chosen that, you should be able to see the phone on the computer via the My Computer icon. Double-clicking that should show all the different folders on your phone, allowing you to drag and drop your music files (preferably to a folder named "Music" or similar).

    Grab tips

When ordering food, usually 20 baht, up to about 40 if they had to drive particularly long or spend a lot of time. When taking a ride, probably about 30 baht on average.
  12. "When I moved in, I started seeing damages that were not listed" Then you should have checked better before moving in.
  13. Naw, does the brigade need their safe space? Talk about being a snowflake, throwing a hissy-fit over an image.
  14. What on Earth are you people on about? "Singular they" has been used for hundreds of years to refer to people in (you guessed it) singular. It's not some recent invention of the woke movement, as you seem to think. The fact that you thought it was incorrect really says alot about your English skills.
  15. It is relevant as an answer to the incorrect statement that en education visa is a non-o.
  16. Suits him right. So many of these livestreamers seem to consider the world their personal playground and everyone in it their props, shoving cameras in people's faces and pulling of "pranks".
  17. Have Kasikorn started to issue virtual cards again? People haven't been able to apply for them for a couple of years, with constant promises from Kasikorn that they would "soon" be available again.
  18. "Ends Tragically" I beg to differ. Seems like the best possible outcome.
  19. I managed to have my stamp transferred at a different immigration office, but I had to contact the office where the stamp was issued to have them "update the stamp in the online system". The people at the old immigration office that I talked to over the phone had no idea what I wanted done, but eventually I got an immigration officer at my new office to talk to them, and they sorted it out. Not sure if that's something Phuket/Trang will do, but it seems to be doable in general.
  20. What an absolute man-child. If you're breaking the lease, you forfeit the deposit. The fact that you're "legally allowed" to break the lease doesn't mean you get the deposit back.
