  1. I didn't realize that a pic of your passport was considered "lots of documents" and "lots of id stuff".
  2. A foreigner will never be a local. You can live here for 50 years, speak fluent Thai, and have citizenship, but you still won't be a local.
  3. It's not. You're benefitting from the money, and it's therefore not considered a gift according to Thai law. Is anyone going to find out? Doubtful, but you're definitely not "following the rules".
  4. It's not about where your wife is registered, but where you live and are doing 90-day reports. Plenty of people make extensions across the country from where their wives are actually registered. You're supposed to make your extensions where you live, nowhere else.
  5. And you can feel like you're a cat trapped in a human's body. The common denominator is being delusional. You're not anything close to a local and never will be.
  6. If you're seriously "feeling like a local", you're delusional. You might feel like part of the local expat community, but you'll never be anything resembling a local.
  7. "Must have", not "must of".
  8. The remark about platforms earning 1 billion is separate from the suggested change. Read the original article on BP, not the garbage from The Thaiger.
  9. Regardless if it was remitted to Thailand, yes. Not regardless of DTA's.
  10. Don't expect to just walk into any bank and leaving with an account. Many branches refuse to open accounts for foreigners or have demands regarding the type of visa you entered on or extension you're on. Be prepared to go to different branches before you finally find one willing to open an account.
  11. What a coincidence, I'm currently condemning the Catholic church for their systematic protection of child rapists.
  12. Out of all the things that never happened, this never happened the most.
  13. If this is an April fools joke, it's in really poor taste and not even remotely funny.
  14. Great to hear, thanks for sharing and happy holidays!
  15. My wife is going to switch the tabian baan she is registered in next year, and I'm getting mixed responses as to the requirements. The question is: Does she need to bring the tabian baan she is currently registered in when she makes the switch to the new address? Yes, we're obviously going to ask the local office, but it wouldn't hurt to get some input before then.
  16. It's incorrectly translated. The original says, "The person who hit Felicia has been questioned"
  17. I can only imagine the horror she must have felt when someone in power denied her something she felt entitled to...
  18. Yeah, and then a SWAT team made a raid at his house because he was painting it, or was it mowing the lawn?
  19. As long as he's happy. And that goes for Tony, too.
  20. They're bags, you'll find a use for them. And if you don't, you suck it up and refrain from going to 7-Eleven to throw a hissy-fit.
  21. Tell me you're a kii nok farang without saying you're a kii nok farang. Trying to exchange some bags worth a few measily baht... Jesus effin' Christ.
  22. No one is asking you to remember all of them. Just name a few examples. Should be extremely easy if "the word Thailand stands out in every movie" and Thailand is mentioned "all the time".
  23. It's a perfectly fine way for her to address someone at your age and does not imply any disrespect whatsoever.
  24. No second chances in regard to infidelity. Cheaters are the lowest of the low and vermin, in my opinion.
  25. Don't be. You should be ashamed. What in holy hell is wrong with you? Absolutely disgusting.
