  1. They were foreigners and illegal in the country. Case closed. As soon as their nationality is known, Thai authorities will send the bill to that country.
  2. WashingtonCNN — A Fidelity fund has slashed its estimate of Twitter’s value amid ongoing chaos at the company, implying the social media platform may be worth only a third of its value compared to when Elon Musk acquired it in October. According to a monthly disclosure, Fidelity’s Blue Chip Growth Fund reported that its stake in Twitter was worth $6.55 million at the end of April. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/05/31/tech/twitter-value-fidelity-estimate/index.html
  3. I read many times, and read the advice from medical pages, to urinate on stings from a Jellyfish. Are they all wrong?
  4. The way this chap is sitting (LAYING) in has chair in a police station makes me wonder why the police is being so calm.
  5. From your desctiption, it looks that you have a Chinese tampered hard disk. Those kind of hard disk are aold on the market as (for example) 500 GB disks but are in reality 60GB disks in which the allocation table has been changed. I had one of these froom Lazada, filled with Thai movies and sings, but none of them were able to play. When I removed the sticker and typed the Serial number of the case, it came out to be an old Toshiba 60 GB hard disk. There are several programs on the internet, a lot of them are freeware, to detect if your hard disk/memory card is genuine or not.
  6. Most of the existing programs are available for free on the internet. I switched from Microsoft Office to Libre Office and I am very happy with it.
  7. Like I said already, switching to Windows 10 moght give you free updates (if your PC/Notebook is able to run Windows 10) but it will mean also that a lot of existing software might stop to run. My computer switched from Wiindows 7 to Windows 10 and a lot of software I was using almost daily didn't work anymore.
  8. All these countries on your list are fake democracies. Example: Belgium is a country I know very well and where 99% of the people voted for a Right wing party 4 years ago, but instead are governed by a mixture of Left wing parties. Germans people are dissatisfied for the same reason, being governed by an incompetent green party. It's not because it's written in some website that it is TRUE.
  9. I can imagine that the hospital is still running an older version of Windows because of the third party software and this particular version of Windows is not supported by MS anymore.
  10. I have even seen an ATM machine in Bangkok running on "Windows for Workgroups". No kidding.
  11. Today, I went to a "middle class" hospital in Khorat for stomach ache (it is not allowed to mention the real name). Everywhere, there were screens displaying the queue numbers at the different departments, screens displaying their packages on sale, etc. But every screen was showing a pop-up window at the middle of the screen saying that they were running an illegal version of Windows and in the bottom-right a pop-up message was showing the version of Windows and the text to "update" their version. This is not limited to Khorat and I have seen the same thing in many places. Even on ATM machines. Khorat has a few good universities and one of them has even developped their own version of Linux which is pretty good. As fas as I know, Khon Kaen has also their own version of Linux and is also pretty good. I have seen the staff and the students writing Linux programs, and they were pretty good at it. They surely could write a simple program that display the queue numbers. I can not think of a logical reason why a big hospital or an ATM company is risking all kind of legal procedures while they could have a better operating system and better programs locally. Do you?
  12. He will start selling amulets to his followers and he will the 200,000 Bhat very quick. No problem. TIT
  13. If the female employees look like most girls/woman in Thailand nowadays, they better keep their clothes on.
  14. The European Digital Services Act, is not only about Twitter. Google, Micro<deleted> and many other companies will come under scrutenity at end of August. Most of the big tech companies are acting against the EU laws on the PRIVACY by use of cookies and tracing peoples behavior without their prior approval. Most of the big tech companies are not paying their due taxes trough all kind of loopholes. These loopholes will be closed after August. For once, a good move from the EU that I applaud.
  15. Wowwwww You seem to know the "world". Care to list 5 countries where REAL DEMOCRACY exists? And no, the US is not a democracy.
  16. The correct wording now is: "A person who identifies as a woman".
  17. He is a "Spineless coward" but he IDENTIFY himself as a "Men". Is that better?
  18. These kind of things are not only in Thailand, but over the whole world. Girls/woman, mostly of the more beautiful kind (but with far less functioning braincells), choses a "Macho" guy as their life partner. They will go trough hell for them. They will go into prostitution for their "Macho" guy; They will give their Macho hubby all their money; Etc. Until they wake up or the Macho guy kicks them out. Then the girl will start to cry and tell everybody what a bad guy she had. Girls/woman: You want the icing on the cake, take the whole cake and stop complaining. Nobody forced you to go with that Macho guy.
  19. "You get what you paid for." Period. The electric company in Thailand should step in and only supply electric IF ALL SAFETY RULES ARE FOLLOWED. No "mumbo jumbo monkey coming out of the bushes and IDENTIFY as an ELECTRICIAN." This would benefit the Electric Company and the authorities by the increased sale of Leakage Current detectors and proper GROUND wiring. Of less importance for this country are the many people which will be saved. RIP little girl.
  20. With the millions of Royalists in Bangkok? Bring back the PAD and time for coup #23.
  21. Right to Soi Buakaow where there is more life anyhow.
  22. Yes, lots of people in Thailand gamble. And lots of people are in a financial disaster because of gambling. The RTP should to do their job and clean out the CANCER from Thai society. Years ago, an illegal casino was opened next to my house. Have seen guys come to the casino in a brandnew Toyota minibus, and leave the site walking after a few hours. And all under the eyes of the RTP who did nothing.
  23. When you commmit suicide, you don't feel anything anymore. But you leave a lot of people suffering with your deeds. RIP
