No it does not make sense because WISE does not do Swift transfers to deliver money to customers. They set up business to avoid that.
Wise does use the SWIFT network for sending money to South Africa, Japan, and US dollars to countries around the world. But Wise works to reduce those costly intermediary fees. And makes it clear when there may be fees to you. Upfront.Apr 27, 2561 BE

Key Visa can take away all the hassle of renewing your British passport in Thailand for a service fee of just 5000 baht (this is in addition to your passport renewal fee) which includes document checking, photocopies, taking the application to Bangkok and collecting the new British passport when it is ready.
Key Visa:
''Even if you live away from Pattaya then we can still help, just send your documents to us via EMS and make the payment into our bank account. When your new passport is ready we will send it to you via EMS for just an additional 100 baht.''
Basically you have still got to fill in all the documents yourself etc. not just supply the info. They don't do all the work for you, just check that you have done them correctly. They do all the leg work.
It would cost me more than that in flights to and from Bangkok so I would consider it an affordable and valuable service!

1st of Pfizer was on the 3rd of this month (Sept) with the 2nd due on Friday 24th (Sept). All free.
A big thank you to the U.S.A. donation and my local provincial health office. ????- 3

just judging from Aseannow's postings, it seems there has been quite a culling of the existing expatriate herd. Lots of familiar names are gone for good, it seems
Nah, they've just gone to another childish forum!

As I've mentioned in other topics regarding the same; go to your local health centre or the Provincial Health Dept if in or near the provincial capital city. I'm up in the boonies and got my 1st Pfizer jab and 3 week follow up Pfizer jab appointment last week, simply by going to my health dept. office and asking them.
I am over 60 but there were a couple of young guys in the queue waiting for a Pfizer jab attained by using the expatvac website.
Worth a shot and only costs a little time, perseverance and patience.
Good luck.

Update from post: Expatvac replies... - Page 2 - Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits - ASEAN NOW
Heard nothing!
Yesterday a friend forwarded me an email received from the provincial health office for Pfizer jab this morning.
I went but was told I'm not on the list so ............
I went to the office (5 mins away) and explained the situation. They checked that the vaccination building had spare Pfizer, took my details and told me to return to the vaccination building and all will be good!
Within 30 mins I was vaccinated with Pfizer and given a follow up appointment for another Pfizer jab in 3 weeks!
For what it's worth, maybe a visit to your local health office can speed the process up and be more fruitful and informative.
It only costs a little time and patience.
Good Luck.

I build, repair and re-furbish pc's as a hobby for friends and family. Often it's easier to do a clean install and start afresh without all the years of cr@p that's embedded to wade through. Fit an SSD or M.2 to store the o/s system on a partition and a new windows key for around 100 baht. Never had a problem so far!

If it's your first extension at ROI ET they normally follow up with a home visit after your application has been sent to Korat for verification.
I believe the divisional office for Roi Et changed from Korat to Khon Kaen 3-4 years ago.

Really? It's a French company. I would call it the IKEA of the sports world.
Really!
Decathlon stores opened a branch in my home city in 2017. I left the UK in 2008.
Thanks for the heads up comparison to Ikea. I like Ikea. ????

I've never heard of Decathlon Sports but looks like a hidden gem to me!
Good delivery times promised to up 'in the boonies' and very reasonable prices. I play a lot of badminton so always looking to try new brands of shoes etc.
Cheers for the heads up!

Excuse me!
At 8.45am this morning I called the number provided to contact the MFA directly. Press 9 for English.
At 8.48am this morning it was answered by a very polite lady. I explained the problem of registering on the expatvac website successfully then receiving a notification that it was being rejected because of wrong visa. (As many have reported).
She assured me that within 2-3 days I would be sent a link to edit my document and re-submit.She explained that the problem with the submittal form only accepting one form was basically my fault and (sort of) advised that the 'visa' and passport copy should be on a single form. Ok, not going to argue. She never asked for any I.D. to check, so I assume everyone who received the 'successful registration' followed by the 'rejection' will receive a re-submit link.
Of course, never admitting it was their c0ckup but hey ho, this is certainly Thailand and at least something is being rectified .... hopefully!
Now let's wait and see if I get an edit link.

Similar companies. What that mean? Sinovac and Sinopharm are from different manufacturers.
Both produce a similar product (vaccine).
Now I remember why I stopped posting on this forum ..... Duh!

Will they never learn? Sinovac from Sinopharm only boosts the immune system for a few months, why oh why do they persist in using something that has no long term effects. ????????????
I'm presuming you mean and not from as they are separate but similar companies.

I removed the cover from a dimmer switch / double light switch combo unit. Jungle of multi-coloured wires, some joined with masking tape, others so thin like speaker wire and all except one were live!
Nope .... ain't gonna happen ... not touching a thing!
Things work, got a safety cut thingy box that trips occasionally so I'm going to let it be, for now.
Cheers guys for the suggestions.

Thanks for the replies.

Both the round fluorescent tubes and L.E.D. show light after death! I recently replaced an old light fitting with an L.E.D. checking that the wires were connected correctly. Same result.
I'm no sparkie and hate playing with Thai electrics, they make no sense to me.

Interesting that the wet makes the issue worse and that your neighbours are seeing the same thing suggesting a supply issue.
Apparently my missus has been informed by someone at the P.E.A. that the wires at the outside box need reversing?
I'm not touching a thing!
Yes, I've got access to a multimeter.

I know this has been discussed before!
My lights have always shown a 'sign of life' when switched off. After having 24hrs of continual rain they now are at the stage of being 'dim' when turned off.
My neighbours either side have the same problem. As the weather improves, so do my lights!
Is it insufficient grounding of the main supply power pole?

If you start of move everything over to pink ID, then you can put your passport in the safe and go about your day to day business with just pink ID. Pink card doesn't expire like a passport does and no need to update bank, license etc. Both systems work but there are some advantages to operating in the pink card system.
AFAIK: The 'pink card' does expire if you obtained one before the age of 60. Mine expires in 2569, obtained in 2559.
Printed on the bottom front of the card.

if anything they are emptier than usual.
And no need to go to a hospital for a work permit physical, clinics can do them. Where in Thailand are you?
Disagree.
The two schools that I have been associated with were both told that I needed the physical check up at a local hospital. The results had to be on official hospital headed paper signed by a senior doctor. The labour office insisted on this as a condition of obtaining a work permit. I believe this has been the norm for the past few years.

I always, without fail wash all my fruit and vegetables before use:
To clean most fruits and vegetables, mix a solution of 1 cup vinegar to 4 cups water inside a spray bottle, then add a tablespoon of lemon juice. Shake well to combine. Spray your produce and leave for a few minutes then wash off. Use a vegetable scrubber on produce with hard or coarse skin.
Of course, what pesticides have been soaked up from the ground into the produce is another matter!
