I'd also check the rules for that country again. It's the first time I've heard of such a short requirement for a PCR. In many places the results take 24 hours.

I'm heading to Vietnam next week and they require either a medically supervised ATK within 24 hours OR a PCR within 72 hours of your flight departure.

I read awhile ago that BKK airport has two clinics offering quick results and med cert, on the 1st floor near Gate 3 and between Gate 7-8.

I've got a friend flying out who needs a similar test so .......... Are they still operating?

I got a prescription from Pattaya optical (B400)  vari vocals. Sent it off with my chose of glasses. Received glasses in under 2 weeks from China. Cost £70 for two pairs.

China does singing glasses now? ....My oh my, whatever next!????

  4. I've got a wide range of genres that I enjoy listening to (with the exception of country music) from the sixties up to the present day. I don't think nothing will surpass the 70s-80s but maybe I'm biased because those were my rebel years!

There's some great songs about in this 'modern era' of music.

'The Midnight' is a band I come across whilst perusing YouTube a few weeks ago, amazing sax in some of their songs.

Sax begins at 3.20 in this clip:

Why did you put your dogs into a situation where they could be poisoned?

Why are you trying to condone the act of poisoning?

It's estimated over a dozen dogs died that night in our soi and surrounding area, pets and soi dogs. Other casualties included many cats and birds, including some beautiful large herons. This was two months ago.

Did they bark all day ?

Like most dogs in the countryside, they sleep all day.  Sometimes at night an odd howl or bark from somewhere could be heard but that's part of rural life up here. Regardless, all the dogs and cats around here were well cared for by the locals.

I can understand some people have a hatred or even a phobia about dogs but indiscriminate poisoning is not the way to solve someone's personal problem or vendetta. Let's leave it at that shall we?

  6. I've been playing badminton for the past 3 years with the same group, sometimes up to 5 times a week. For the last couple of weeks some of the group haven't been playing, now I know why ... Covid! Several of us went down with it at the same time. One guy who has been playing was asymptomatic and passed it on. I felt slightly unwell on Wednesday-Thursday, Had a positive ATK on Friday morning so went to the local Gov. Covid clinic. Now doing my 10 day home isolation stint. Triple Pfizer jabbed. I've been abiding by the guidelines pretty well as regards wearing a mask and washing my hands with gel 10,000 times a day!

Slight fever, very runny nose and feeling lethargic, just like a bad cold. Sleeping extremely well, eating well and love the paranoid attention from my missus. No talking just messages, instant room service. Told her I might have to isolate on a more regular basis! Oh, according to the locals 40% proof liqueur with lime is a cure so I'll go along with that!

Seriously, The first time I've been ill since leaving the UK over 12 years ago. Never liked getting a cold then and certainly don't like the symptoms I'm experiencing now. IMHO, glad I had my jabs, it could be a lot worse.

If this is the 'new normal' then I'm going to continue being cautious as this virus is so contagious, more so than a cold virus.  Will it ever end?

    Keep well, keep safe.

    I'm obviously anti-social ????

    Hate crowds

    Prejudice toward stupidity, hypocrites

Ignorance is fine, but prefer not to be near

Avoid bars & drunks (except me)

Hate the better than thou types, though not sure if that makes me the Kettle or the Pot

Actually can get along with anyone, who shows equal respect, and can agree to disagree.

+1 ✔️ .... Very strange I'm actually agreeing with someone!

Weird. I'd better go and upset my neighbour (Canadian).

That seems incredibly strange. Somebody else stated the same thing earlier in the thread.

Do you really understand the question that's being asked? Because for an app's apparently broken user interface to suddenly start working, just because somebody has entered some information on a remote computer, it doesn't really make sense. Because until you've linked the phone to your personal info, there's no possible way that I can see for the app to know it should now allow data entry to the blocked fields.

    I'll say no more!

Can you tell us more about this?  I can't see it listed under "Official  Accounts" and doing a search for MOPH doesn't come up with anything.  My Line account is linked to my UK mobile number so that may be blocking me.

    Open Line App

    Home

    Add Friends

    Official Account Recommendations

    See All

    In Search type : Moph

6th one down on my phone ..... Ministry of Public Health sign.

Add as friend and register on there.

It's in Thai but easy to translate, screenshot then open in Google Translate.

  10. I had similar problems but eventually solved thanks to a forumite on a similar thread a few months ago.

I e-mailed the MOPH:      [email protected]

A screenshot of the app problem.

    Photo of my vaccine paper.

    Photo of my passport details.

Phone number - passport number - e-mail address

    I just stated:

'Can you please help me. I cannot register on the MorProm App. Thank you.'

3 days later I received an e-mail stating:

'We add your phone number already. Retry again.

    Best Regards'

I tried again and it worked!

A friend also couldn't register on the App. He solved it by going to the district public help office and showing them the problem. They installed the MOPH Line account for him by which you can access your vaccine records and digital certificate along with the QR codes etc. I've since also installed the MOPH Line Account myself.

It's under the Official Accounts section in Line, search for MOPH.

    Hope this helps!

The MOPH line account does send notifications every day - I have it on mute.
