A question for those who receive their state pension directly to a Thai bank:
It specifies that it is received in the local currency and the amount can vary depending on the current exchange rate so is the exchange rate competitive?
If so does the receiving bank make any charges?
I am due the full UK state pension after April 2024 so will be entitled to the next increase in April. I still have a UK bank acct which it could be paid into but considering changing my financial requirements for retirement extension from 800k in a Thai bank to the combination method as it would be simple if my pension is directly paid to Thailand, thus releasing capital to use without further international transfers from the UK where it earns much more interest.Just food for thought!
Before anyone chimes in about future pension increases etc. I have no UK address.
Although I fully support that pension increases should apply regardless where a person resides, I have no intension of committing fraud.

Even my bank account at SCB is linked to the Pink ID. My wife uses that Pink ID for almost everything, renewing insurance for me, medical, etc,
Your Pink ID card has your name in English on it? ...... How unique.
Not one word of English on mine!- 1

Your assets and income inside Thailand will be reported to the Thai tax office who will automatically share that info with ones home country.
If that is so then that could open up a different can of worms regarding those that fraudulently claim they reside in the UK when, in fact, they truly reside in Thailand.

Lucky you.
In the UK all income generated in the UK (including pensions - state and private) are taxed at source before you see it, and I have not found a way to become non-tax resident in the UK despite having no UK address for 18 years.
UK state pension is not taxed at source as it is under the personal allowance but does go against any other income including private pensions.
Hence the tax you pay is on any income above the personal allowance including private pensions. This is normally deducted at source by your pension company.

Thanks, but what is 3. Store by weight?
What is 4. Electric cars saying?
U have a link?
As I see it:
The weight chart is used for other vehicles exceeding 7 seaters. The DLT is using this chart for EV vehicles that seat under 7 passengers.
MG ZS X EV is about 1600kg ..... -

Us petrol ⛽️ heads are paying by engine volume. How are EVs charged, by weight? Engine kw?

I'm convinced that the base gravy is the missing link.
This is the recipe I used to use when I was in the UK and could be faffed to do it. Quite easy and freezes well. Now I tend to cook more Thai curries Indian!

As a supplier of fresh produce to Indian food establishments in the UK I can honestly tell you that the majority of kitchens are absolutely spotless. The chefs take as much pride in their kitchens as of the dishes they produce and are very finicky when it comes down to the quality of ingredients they procure.

Celosia or cockscomb plant.
Celosia require regular watering but do not overwater as they can tolerate dryer soil better than overly wet soil and too much water can kill the plant. Only water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. Pests and diseases are usually not an issue with this plant.
Remember these plants are annuals, that's why they are so cheap and they do need plenty of sunlight!
I used to sell 1000's of these to be used as bedding / border plants in and around parks (UK) during the summer months.

That said, the 12V DC charger being between the seats is where I need to plug my current dash cam in, so that might be awkward. On my current car it’s under the dash and well out of the way.
The GR front / rear Toyota dashcam is all wired in, nothing to plug in. It can be operated via wifi from your phone to take videos or download dashcam footage. If you can't twist the dealers arm to get it free, it costs 6000 baht. Well worth it for the expert fitting, quality and standard 3 year guarantee on all Toyota accessories.

The cross has USB ports coming out of the top infotainment screen
Nope, it has one USB port at the bottom right-hand side of the infotainment system and your phone has to be plugged in to get the best from android auto or apple car play.
The camera system on the Cross is excellent. if you want to quickly put the front camera on for parking, just stick the indicator on! Also, the side mirrors will automatically tilt down when reversing to help see the kerbside etc. These can be adjusted or turned off easily.
Performance wise, the Cross GR Sport is quicker than the HRV RS and is far superior in ride and handling according to a friend who got the HRV and now regrets it after having a go in mine! Lol.After running mine in sensibly for 1500 km I took it for a good run from Roi-Et to Khon Kaen, it's a good road and not busy at the weekends. Used the power mode for overtaking and cruised comfortably at 120 kmph . The radar cruise control works faultlessly but not good with the lane assist function so that got turned off! Covered 250km overall, mostly highway driving at speed and returned 21.6 kmpl ... Not bad.
I drove my friends HRV for a few days when he went back home and IMHO, the extra baht for the GR Sport is well worth it .... He agrees!

I booked a test drive of the Toyota Corolla Cross and the test vehicle was the GR Sport, which wasn't even in the catalogue I had. It's the top-of-the-range, so has everything, including a wretched sunroof. At least it's just a normal sunroof with a solid partition you can use to completely block it off, not an entire glass roof as with the HRV RS. To avoid a sunroof you have to go two models down, and so lose a lot of the nice bits and pieces that come with the top model. I was impressed by the performance, anyway, just touch the throttle and it's off. Another nice feature lacking on the Honda is front and rear view cameras, plus a 360° camera. The only option on the Honda was a rear view camera. The Toyota saleslady also agreed to install a front and rear dashcam free of charge, Honda wanted 4,100 Baht just for a front dashcam, with no rear option. I'd also looked at the Subaru's, but they really don't fit my needs at all. At the end, then, it was an easy choice, and I've ordered the Corolla Cross GR Sport. Here's a couple of links to it:
https://www.facebook.com/toyotamotor.th/videos/2178236809006130/
https://www.toyotalibra.co.th/Corolla_Und_Cross_Und_GR_Und_Sport
I've had mine for about 6 weeks now. Well impressed with the performance, economy and general 'feel' of the car.
I got 36k baht worth of extras free. If you're a technophobe, don't buy this car because the dash is so customizable it's like a cockpit but there again, most top of the range motors are the same. Not deal breakers but:
No vanity lights in the footwells.
Official Toyota cargo net supplied needs holes drilling in the side! (I politely turned the option down)
Needs a usb port below the infotainment system. (USA version has one) I got a 12v port flush fit fast charge usb adapter (lazada) to fit under the armrest.
Horn sounds like it came off a Scoopy scooter! (Now got Toyota premium twin horn fitted)
A must is to fit mud flaps as the slightest damp conditions causes spray to cover the rear tailgate making it so dirty. (Lazada) Also, order a manual from the dealership in English, should be supplied free.Sometimes I couldn't get the hatch to open using the kick sensor, eventually I discovered it won't work if the drivers door is open! My bad and I'm still getting to grips with the infotainment system! (manual supplied in English)

It's a problem not having a copy of the current policy in the event of an accident, yes?
I don't know if Roojai failed to deliver the policy to Phan post office, or whether the post office lost or mislaid it.
I've recently insured my new vehicle with Roojai. They sent me all the documents online in pdf format ready to download, nothing is sent by snail mail unless requested.
Using their phone App, all policy details are on there including coverage details and are available to download. Contact phone numbers for roadside assistance, claims and renewals etc. are on it with an easy to use interface. Everything is in English and the initial set-up was all confirmed by phone with a representative who spoke fluent English.
Very competitive price with a surprise 3000 baht of PT fuel coupons amongst other participating companies awaiting on the App! -

But how many thousands of registered EV's are sitting in a field somewhere in China with no mileage on just to get the sales incentives from the Chinese Gov.? I'm not saying it amounts to 100's of thousands ...............or does it?

My last bottle (about 3 months ago) cost B450. The shop is about 500m away. Always delivered and fitted within a few minutes of calling 7am-7pm.
I suspect the 'extra charge' is for fitting the new bottle as opposed to just dumping on the doorstep and exchange the old bottle.
I'd be willing to pay a little more if asked, those bottles are heavy to move in and out of my kitchen unit!
