What was legitimate for tak should be legitimate for any government - and probably every government needs to do that because they will be compared with tak. Nothing wrong with this if they use it as a means to an end to a better and liberate Thailand which is not a tak empire.

I suppose they got their blankets and clothes last year and the year before and so on.
What happened to those? I am not saying don't give to them. They need for sure. But something seems wrong. It should be possible to keep the stuff for many winters.
Why not register them and give them the new stuff only when they bring back the old things after they are worn out.

When a young reasonably fit person suddenly dies while exercising it's often caused by undiagnosed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
You don't know you have it until you drop dead.
I guess the military would have announced this in a hurry - if it were the case with him.

heart failure as the alleged cause of death is nonsense - there must be a reason for the heart failure. This would be the cause of death.
(Except in the case of coronary heart disease - but this is very unlikely in a young man. It would be obvious in the autopsy)

So if he was a scammer and trickster and only worked at MacDonalds where did he get the money to travel the world ?
begging by pretending to be in need by demonstrating his ugly swollen leg - which is betrayal as he uses the ill gotten money to travel the world, party and pay prostitutes.
He said he can make more than 100 Euro in a few hours by begging.
It is no fun having a leg like his - even if it is not hurting and not dangerous. I can understand that he is looking for some fun and I am happy if he succeeds.
It would be ok if he were honest by having a poster like "I want your money for travel the world, party and pay prostitutes". May be I would even donate ...

It is not unusual - at least in the country where I come from - that organs are removed during an autopsy (for further examination) and some stuff or paper is put into the torso so that it stays in shape from the outside. Also the breastbone is cut into halves so the organs of the chest can be removed. In my country they always make a protocol of the autopsy about the details of the procedure. Would be nice if they have one here - could bring clarity.
And the diagnosis "cardiac arrest" as the cause of death is no diagnosis. It does not say why the heart action stopped. Shock? trauma? gun shot? beheading? terminal cancer? .... The heart action always stops at death whatever the cause is.

A little green snake ( I looked it up, it was harmless) wandering my neighbourhood got a brick dropped on its head recently by the neighbours. It seems ok to kill snakes and yet my friend had major problems trying to find a vet to euthanise his poor dying moggy..
cutting off the head with a machete would have relieved the poor guy in a second.

I am afraid nothing will cause kim to denuclearize, not the starving of his people, not the frowning of the world - only violence could.

probably there will be some people in Thailand who will try the speed - best after taking some drugs or alcohol. If something happens just go to a temple for a few days.

There will be no American nuclear first strike. It is simply not a viable option for many reasons being that the World would condemn an American first strike. However, if Nkorea launched a nuclear weapon targeting the US; Us territories or US Allies- then a full American retaliatory strike would most likely be ordered. I doubt NKorea would launch as they know their total destruction would occur.
Once one rules out the nuclear options that leaves only conventional war. However, conventional war would cause huge losses of life in SKorea as Seoul is well within the range of massive amounts of NKorea artillery and there is no way the US ; Japan, or Korea could knock out all of the artillery and conventional missiles. One thing that could mitigate loses in Seoul is the there is a massive underground shopping areas all over Seoul that also can be used as shelters and part of the SKorea war plan is to get its citizens underground.
At present, I see no movement towards conventional war by any side. There is no massing of NKorean troops at the DMZ (neutral zone) and there is no massive movement of US Forces to Asia, which would be needed to respond to a NKorea invasion. The media keeps playing the story with its worst case scenarios but the current evidence is that neither country is anywhere near hostilities. In addition, Trump has played it and got a massive $70 billion increase in the Us defense budget, already the highest in the World- of course being paid off the back of the suffering US middle class and poor.
The only viable solution is negotiation. If NKorea can be convinced that America is not interested in regime change-then a peace treaty can be signed- China can take control of NKorea's nuclear weapons and US troops move off the peninsula. Then North and South Korea can negotiate an opening of borders and economic integration.
Don't the US have nuclear artillery that could in one simultaneous strike eradicate a stripe along the NK /South Korea border with all the NK artillery? Conventional war would be possible then.
And whatever is said: fat kim has to disappear. Agreeing to "no regime change" is utter bullocks.

Nuclear war would be devastating to not just to Asia but to world trade and finacial markets. If the sh*t hits the fan life as all of us know it will be changed permanently. It is truly scary that two crazies are the ones that will determine our collective future.
I don't believe that - if there would be war with NK and if nukes would be used they would stay mainly in the region. NK if attacking South Korea would destroy their own country. That's possible because their leader is a mad clown. Attacking the US? I don't think they can - at least not effectively.

China says 'dual suspension' proposal still best for North Korea
I might be able to agree with him if he adds
"after replacing the totalitarian regime by a democratic one and denuclearize the country"
(in short dekimize and denuclearize)

OT this is about NK

Wonderful. Hopefully he will get his well deserved recognition

I would expect a heartfelt apologize and big financial compensation.
not only for the wrong sentence but also for the unnecessary delay after the real perpetrator confessed
8 months in prison for nothing and another 10 months in prison in spite of proof of innocence. If that's not despicable...
But who knows what will happen in this country

I guess the wide spread mindset in Thailand will be a big hindrance to this project. But there is hope - if some farmers get smart and learn and make considerable income, other famers will see that and copy them.
The greed for money part of the Thai mindset will be helpful and make the project working in the end of the day.

What an absurd claim

agree.
Even if it does not work pharmacologically the treatment can give hope. Science (Psychoneuroimmunology) has proven that a better mood (hope e.g.) improves the immune system, this way having an impact on cancer.
He seems not to enrich himself, he should continue - after making sure his drugs are not dangerous

Difficult to decide who to believe - given the credibility of Thai justice. Not only in spectacular cases like the Koh Tao murders where it seems scapegoats are sentenced to death while the likely killers are scot free.
