  1. In a statement read by Tarit Pengdit, secretary of Capo, said that the Constitutional Court had already set a precedent when it ruled on the status of then prime minister Samak Sundaravej and only Samak lost his premiership while his cabinet continued to function.

Well, since this government is so horrible, it looks like the CC is going to set another precedent and remove the entire caretaker cabinet. Yingluck testified it wasn't her fault but that the cabinet made the decision. Damned them out of her own mouth..

Since Samak’s case and Ms Yingluck’s case are similar, the ruling by the charter court on the latter’s case should be in the same direction – that is the ruling is binding only to the prime minister, said Capo.

Perfect example of defective Thaksin logic; self-serving to the maximum.

Capo maintained that its warning to the court was not an act of interference in the court’s affairs but merely wanted to preempt possible unrest which may result from an unfair ruling.

Another example of PTP/UDD threats that they say are not threats. e.g. "Something terrible is going to happen to you if you don't do as I want you to do; but that is not a threat".

The CC court needs to issue a statement saying, "CAPO is not my father".

What about the CC investigating if CAPO acts in accordance with constitution?

  2. NACC have already stated that the witnesses they didn't allow had nothing further to add to the case. End of argument.

Perhaps if PT/CAPO/UDD stop criticising, intimidating and threatening legal action against NACC etc if a decision doesn't go their way, and perhaps if (just for once in her life) Yingluck was available to meet them directly for once instead of campaigning for votes as always, they'd be a bit more lenient/sympathetic/helpful.

The NACC have decided that they have enough evidence to indict Yinluck and have decided that the defense witnesses have nothing new to add without even hearing them speak.

Can you imagine, just imagine, that Yingluck's guilt is already proven beyond any doubt?

The NACC has investigated for a long time already - so this might be easily possible

Why then allow the defendant to play for more and more time and waste time of the NACC and taxpayer's money to listen to more witnesses who anyway cannot prove that she is not guilty

  3. United Front for “Democracy against Dictatorship” –am I missing something here?

Can’t be long and the ThaiRouge start some serious book burnings to save the famous Thai culture from unhealthy influences. Suitable titles like “A definition of democracy” or “Free Speech for Dummies” come to mind.

    for Democracy?

It is time to enforce writing "UDD" in quotes

name a devil a devil not an angel

The concert organizers should have know what would happen if they had a proven anti government protestor on stage. Don't blame the Reds blame the organizer of the event.

So your saying that red shirt democracy is ok?

It's better than what Suthep is offering.

  5. Amazing how everyone bitches about Yingluck wanting more witnesses, time, rice checks and call it intimidation. What about Suthep completely defying the court by not turning up because he is busy inciting insurrection?

Your opinion. So I guess now you want me thrown out of Thailand as well. Or jailed as a minimum.

    ?

    Why should I?

neither democratic style nor integrity style

  6. Note -

    - Yingluk is not up on any Criminal Charges. lets all be clear of this. This is simply an issue of whether or not she did her job properly. No criminal charges.

    - She is charged with failure to take action when told that there MAY be mismanagment of the Rice Scheme.

    - She is charged with improper firing of an employee.

    - The PDRC folks stands in the streets in honor of a man that is up on Insurrection charges.

    - The Dem's Leader is up on Murder Charges.

I suppose you get the point.

the de facto leader of the government is a convicted criminal on the run

I suppose YOU get the point

  8. The lawyer is quite correct as the NACC, Constitutional Court etc regularly defy PTP law.

I think that the laws in most democratic countries would allow the defendant to call any witness they need. By denying Yinluck the chance to call witnesses to prove her lack of guilt, the NACC are showing themselves to be biased.

In Taksin's trial there were prosicution witnesses called who gave evidence when Taksin's lawyer was not allowed to be present.

The courts in Thailand need reform.

I think that the laws in most democratic countries would allow the defendant to call any witness they need.

    I don't think so.

If the guilt is already proven any more witnesses to prove lack of guilt are unnecessary.

Allowing more witnesses would anly waste tax payers money and the time of the court - and would allow the culprit's party more time to hide evidence and create more delusion.

  9. Sounds about the most sensible and lucid of all the comments made about solving the crisis, among the various leadership. Compare this to the simplistic 'have an election' we keep hearing from Noppadom, or Yingluck or Chalerm. In an ideal world, free of political shenanigans and third hand influence this man would be head and shoulders above the rest as a good Prime Minister, far more intelligence, sincere, honest and well mannered than any of the others.

Really ?? "would be a good Prime Minister" He had the chance to proof himself two years long as PM, tell me what he did for the country ,..... exactly, nothing !

tell me what he did for the country ,..... exactly, nothing !

at least he did exactly nothing like the BS the PTP did

  10. Do the NACC really have right to decide when they have enough information from the defence? One could be forgiven in thinking that a decision has already been made and any evidence is irrelevant - let's face it, they've already decided the evidence of 7 witnesses is irrelevant.

It looks as if they have adopted the tactics of their predecessors, the AEC.

If you and I had seen the evidence, we would be in a position to make an informed comment. As it is, I certainly have not and doubt very much you have which makes your commend an UNinformed comment and irrelevant.

If you read carefully you would see that I wasn't arguing about the evidence. I was questioning the authority of, what is in effect, a prosecutor, determining that the Yingluck had provided enough information in support of her defence.

How would they know what is enough?

Likewise if you don't even understand the gist of my argument how can you decide that is uninformed and irrelevant?

When her guilt is proven 100 % then whatever information she could give to support her defence would be enough. Logic!

  11. Really frightening to learn this about the RTP

    The police structure totally rotten

Seems a coup has already happened a long time ago - a police coup and is still in place.

    Police structure totally rotten

Can this be in a democratic country?

Now I wonder if a military coup would be the best - to chase all the police out of office and build up

an entirely new police force following proper democratic lines
