    All you need to know is avoid Beach Rd. Bloody hell, it seems like all of Pattaya & Chonburi has descended on that road, the traffic is an absolute nightmare where you can walk quicker, impossible to catch a Songthew that isn't packed to the rafters and so many people walking (blocking) the sidewalks. I ended walking from Terminal 21 to after Central Festival on Beach Rd.

    Indians get ripped off here for everything, including alcohol prices at the Indian nightclubs and the prices the girls charge them. It's called the 'being an Indian tax'.

    I live here & I spend 100% of my time in the tourist parts. It'd be boring as hell if you didn't live in the tourist district and enjoy the tourist areas.

    What's the deal with Songthaews not stopping when flagging them down? I flagged down 6 songthaews one after another on Beach Rd, all empty and none of them stopped. It's like they don't want to collect any cash.

    Is there gonna be any issues easily getting a Bolt taxi back from Ban Phe Pier to Pattaya?

    What taxi services options are there to go from Pattaya to Ban Phe Pier and back to Pattaya and what prices roughly are we looking at? Looks like Nams Taxi Service has cancelled all their other routes and now only do Pattaya to BKK airport & back.

    I guess it draws wealthier Indians or those who don't mind spending on holidays. I believe Indians only get 15 days VOA here so they are getting the most of their 15 days. No idea if they buy many 300 baht beers, but personally I wouldn't be too keen buying more than one beer at 300 baht. I struggle to get my head around even buying one beer for 300 baht knowing that it's 100% overpriced compared to other discos.

    Where can you buy APEC cards from? Do they sell these on Khaosan Rd or other places?

    Jannaat, Raas, Kama, Nasha by Tony. Are you gonna go check them out to verify? ???????? I guess Indians being denied from all the discos in the past created a great business opportunity for a few to create their own discos and rip off their own kind with outrages prices lol

    No, you'd be surprised. Those in the Indian discos are spending insane amounts on liquor. There are lots of beer towers being consumed. No idea how much they are, but they must be insanely priced if one standard beer is 300 baht. Not to mention, Indians apparently get charged 3-5 times more than other nationalities, if they take a girl from the disco, from what I've been told. 1k is standard for us foreigners but they have to pay 3k - 5k.

    Gotta say, those catering to the Indian market in Pattaya are raking it in big time. Those Indian discos are packed every night and they are getting ripped off big time with drink prices being approximately 100% higher than other discos on Walking Street. Imagine paying 300 baht for one beer. That's how much it costs in those Indian discos, whereas other discos are around 150-170 baht.

    What extra pass they give you? The only thing they give is your boarding pass which shows you are in business class. The only extra pass they give you is for the business class lounges.

    Wealthy Global Citizen - Is this $1mil in assets AND personal income of $80k AND Invest $500k here? If it's $1mil assets OR personal income $80k OR invest $500k then it's not bad. The problem is who would want to invest $500k here.

    Not if the rental contract is written purely in English. If it's written in both Thai with an English translation, then it is a legal contract with the Thai version in the contract being the legal version.

    He's got some nice pointing skills in the photos, I give them a 9/10. Better effort than most other Thais I've seen in their photos. Do the cops make people do the pointing or do people just like pointing all the time at the obvious? Seems common in all the photos of every incident.

    On a similar topic, where has all those Wrigley's Double Mint in the bright green packaging gone? You know those ones in a pack of 10 for 10 baht at every 7/11 or for 20 baht in a resealable plastic packaging occasionally found in selected supermarkets? Can't find them anywhere. All they sell these days are Dentyne for 12 baht at 7/11 and Xylitol and both taste like <deleted>.
