    So you only read the headline and not the article? The first 3 lines "Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital" That is the private side, cant be much clearer than that. The clarification was needed because many jumped the gun and did not read the article thoroughly enough because of misinformation such as something along the lines that Thailand's largest public hospital was being overun.

    It was always stated it was SiPH and not the public side, the problem arose due to people not reading the article properly and thus causing undue alarm.

    Argue all you want, its standard. I've explained the way to get the removal for free.

    Charging for removal of an old air con unit is standard. As I mentioned, if you let them keep it then the charge is normally dropped. Protest all you want, but this is normal. Just put it down as a lesson learnt and move on.

    Actually it was always reported that it was SiPH (private) as opposed to the public side.

    The removal/disposal fee can normally be negotiated to zero if you let them keep it. If you want to keep it then its fair they charge you to remove. That said 700 is a little steep, usually 500. For installation everything over 4m is yours to pay for on a 'free install.'

    From a source we cannot quote on here, Siriraj issued a clarification that the situation in the public side was normal and controllable, they have not added any COVID beds as they did at the peak. Just a little more context.

    Actually not Siriraj hospital, it's SiPH the private side. Not sure how many beds they have but certainly no where near the number of the public side. It does need to be put in perspective IMHO.

    But the article does say you are more likely to die or be hospitalized with repeat infection, that was my point. The other article said symptoms generally decrease with repeated infection. It contradicts.

    Interesting, the other article you led us to seems to contradict this 'Dr Yong added that the term novid is real but people who have never been infected will slowly decrease. It is also possible to get infected with Covid two to three times but symptoms generally decrease with repeated infection.'

    Who is deflecting science? Stop twisting my words. I am merely stating the fact that I know lots of people who have all had COVID, but none of them is claiming to be suffering from long COVID. I apologies if that's not what you want to hear. Or would it make you feel better if I said I only know 2 people in the world and they are both suffering from Long COVID, as thats what you want to hear?

    Been here 30 years, Bangkok and Pattaya. Know alot of people with 2 kids at 2 schools and different sports clubs. Not all of us live sheltered lives around the lake.

    Flu is a threat also, but we dont have it rammed down our throats every day like covid. Putting things in perspective is only what many are asking for, not the continued mass hysteria.
