  1. There is a list someone put on a post I wrote the other day that has all the included parts in packages and costs . Most have internet , tv food , tests etc but I noted some had 24hr doctor and nurse assistance if needed and one place had two packages extra which would have taken in a second. First was exercise equipment for 1600 bht for some weights , exercise mat and something else . Second was a PlayStation 4 with games which was 3600 bht rental for the two weeks . Also I noted that some places listed mini bar and room service above the basic 3 meals a day and others also had a la carte menu as well as set menu .

Depends how easy you find it to be stuck in a room for two weeks but as someone who has spent 6 months in hospital beds before without going outside then two weeks in a room is a walk in the park to me !

Yes, if Thailand really wants to rescue its dying tourist-industry it would have to be according to a scheme like you outline higher.  The current entry-schemes are NOT for tourists, only those with family or romantic ties in Thailand and currently stranded outside will be desperate enough to even consider tackling the hurdles to re-enter the Kingdom.

Yeah I looked again at it yesterday as I can enter due to having a Thai wife and being in uk is driving me insane frankly . But while I can get insurance, I can get a reasonable price one way flight , the ASQ for 14 days was around 30,000bht so not too bad but an unnecessary expense. But the times for pre flight tests and things needed to book and pay for before getting the COE all while sending your passport to embassy to get a visa while lockdown is starting again is mind numbing to say the least ! I gave up looking after 20 minutes !

I brought two iPhones SEs for myself and wife last year..but how disappointing. Mine has a <deleted> batteries last 1 day max and the counter is unreliable so you look and see 70% left, then ten minutes later it is telling you you have only 15%....and stuff like FaceTime or Line really eat up the battery. Honestly it is a ball ache having to charge it all the time. I couldn't recommend iPhones. On the other hand my wife seems to have no issues with hers.

I had a Samsung J7 that was quite cheap before these SEs. It was great in all respects, but I wanted a smaller screen and so bought the Apples. Basically threw my money away.

Where did you buy it from ? I bought a iPhone 6 to use as a emergency phone and a ipod . It started off fine then battery had same problem as you described so I sent it to a shop and put a new battery in . This was ok for a while but then started to drain quickly at times again but not as bad as original battery . Now when I put the sim in the phone won’t recognise it , this is a connection issue near the top right corner and is a known fault with iPhones. I bought it off lazada so not sure if it’s a dodgy phone or just poor build quality, but I would never buy an apple for the prices they ask and their battery life is shockingly poor !

  4. Next phone I will be buying will be oppo as they have all latest features , look ok , huge battery and usually high ram spec . Don’t see the point in spending hundreds on phones that break at first drop or are useless or obsolete after two years . Not sure the oppo A9 2020 price in Thailand but it was £140 on sale last week on amazon so probably cheaper in Thailand.

The photos were taken in Thalang Road. As someone passing through regularly, I'd say it's about 8 m (25 ft) wide.

It was an example number ???? . But if you ignore whatever width it is and look at the first two pictures you will see it’s relatively dead for someone of such great stature  . After about a15ft radius from him hardly one person is looking in his direction so they aren’t really interested. Then second picture has about 8 minibuses going down the road and the roadsides still aren’t packed with the masses reported .

  6. How did he leave a gun range with a weapon and bullets ? I’m guessing he pointed it at the staff before leaving from the photo , but even then it’s a gun range ! Place full of guns and ammo and you would think the staff there would be pretty handy using them . ????

Guess if you want to use a range in future your weapon will have to be chained to floor and you will have a guy standing behind you with a shotgun incase you decide to turn around !

  7. I used ensure Asia before but am waiting on the rep from Aetena to send me quotes as I asked before and they seemed to cover the inpatient medical costs I required for a pretty cheap yearly cost . I have had a cold twice in 12 years in Thailand and nothing else , but I think it’s better to be safe than sorry when something major or requiring surgery etc happens . Especially from the way some hospital bills of inpatients rockets in Thailand.

The PM said he appreciated the efforts of staff at the Smart City Command Centre in taking care of the safety and health of citizens and tourists on Koh Samui.

Lol ! You mean at least they might have footage of the daily accidents on the roads which are more deadly than Covid on samui ! Also as far as I’m aware not one of these hotels mentioned is actually doing ASQ yet due to them trying to figure out how to get the people to samui .

  9. If people are saying the hospitals are full or filling to capacity due to Covid then a news report I seen in uk might explain why. There was one patient with around 4 staff in a room. They had oxygen but were not unconscious, the thing I noticed though was in this room there were no other beds or patients . The room was large enough for 4-6 beds in total . So if you do that in every room in hospitals then obviously they will be filling up rapidly !
Plus if you turn up saying you feel slightly unwell but aren’t really to bad and they test you and it is positive then what do they do ? Do they force you to stay and lock you in a room or do they say ok well not much we can do so just go home and isolate ?

  10. I failed the colour test which was a piece off paper with various dots on it . The paper was jaded as it was so old and then to help the guy holds it up against the window with sun belting in . So I answered 5 and failed on red/green . Obviously I can tell traffic light colours no problem and never had an accident in 20 years driving .
The testers response was come back tomorrow and try again !! Yeah as good nights sleep my eyes will magically be fixed ???????? . Now after seeing the pathetic fines handed out for no license I have decided to just pay the fine and drive about with my old Thai license and valid uk license. ????

This is well out of date. Commercial flights from the UK and elsewhere to Thailand have been allowed for over a month. About 10 airlines are now authorised to land in Bkk. Details on Thai Embassy website.

On the specific recommendation of the Thai Embassy, I booked Emirates and arrived 10 days ago without any problems

Was around 5 I seen last time , eva , Emirates , Thai and can’t remember others. Where did you fly from and what was cost ? I looked at Thai yesterday and was £630 one way lhr to Bkk .
