It depends on the status of the house. Is it owned by you or rented? Is it private residence/ rented out / business.
If it is owned by you and used as your primary residence with no business; there should be no tax if the value is under 50m Baht.

QuoteThe Tourism Authority of Thailand are holding a meeting in the north this Friday to work out strategies and perhaps examine how "new markets" can take up the slack from the lack of Chinese tours.
No one will be taking up the slack. You can't entice people to an infected area.

In Chiang Mai masks have been sold out the last 3 days, which makes the discussion rather moot.

I'm O+ but they don't want it (not exactly rare anyway).
Me too and during the years they stipulate for living in UK I was totally vegetarian !!

O negative blood urgently required in Bangkok. If you can help, please message OP (of topic below) or contact CM Red Cross just to make sure they can send to BKK as needed.

Well it seems number 7 is in Chiang Mai at McCormick Hospital.
Sorry in Thai, couldn't find English.
Also another article says they have only just stopped flights from Wuhan to CM.
I have heard through friends that the Wuhan shutdown was known about before implementation, so many people just fled out in haste.

A fairly good summary and at least it seems you can somewhat protect yourself by wearing mask, avoiding people sneezing etc and wash your hands after touching surfaces.

It is really difficult to judge how bad this is, but it has the ability to get nasty. I have a small hotel and have stopped taking Chinese (or from China) bookings. Have also cancelled Chinese booked in the next month. Not a problem for us as we can easily fill up with non Chinese. I prefer to err on the cautious side and not wait until its too late. I hope this is a wake up call to Thailand when it comes to relying heavily on one market.

If there is a way to have blood donated in another city/town then please let everyone know. There was a good response not so long ago in Chiang mai for O neg.

You can renew at least 3 months before the expiry date.

Whether they stay or go is somewhat beside the point. It is the manner in which it has been done. Instead of working out a solution there was an announcement made in haste.
Also if Meghan wants to throw a spanner in the works she should at least have the manners to face everyone in person. Her behaviour would seem to suggest she is a bad mannered coward.

Fair enough if they want to leave and live a private life. However it looks as though they want to keep the expensive security detail paid for by the British taxpayer, the expensive just renovated house in Windsor etc. Looking as though they want the best of both worlds, having ones cake etc...
I had a bet on with my Canadian friend predicting this would fall apart. It has I admit been astoundingly fast and ironically they might end up in Canada. She now owes me lunch!

Better to get the bathroom locks that you can open with a Baht coin. They don't need keys! Otherwise you are always locking yourself out of the bathroom!
We had relatively expensive Hafele (sp?) locks that got stuck and had to be replaced, so I'm not sure it's always the cheapest.

Strict no-burn zone measures to be implemented in North
in Thailand News
Posted
Lots of burning going on around Chiang Dao yesterday. Could see the plumes of smoke and smell it. What are they doing about it ??
Also they need to explain why the different areas have different dats for burning ban. Unless govt. have to explain the directives they spout out there will be no improvement.
