  1. Yes, at Jomtien they check for the paper receipt and they need a copy. Assuming your notification is valid but no receipt you can go and see how it plays out
  2. The thing about the 3 wheelers is they look like disability vehicles
  3. The ones i know are good guys, normal guys who want to live and not die in a war, same one Ukraine i met. It's Putin and co forcing them to fight for nothing
  4. Why not something like this? cheap, common, fine in the sticks, plenty of storage
  5. I prefer the look of the motorbikes with thai side car thing, the 3 wheelers look unstable, oh yes there was the guy who got run over a few weeks ago by railway road, maybe still in ICU
  6. Next they'll be trying to change it, make it a family orientated city, instead try and make Hua Hin bearable
  7. Sounds sensible but shouldn't you be self insuring anyway in case of claim denied?
  8. I listen to LBC sometimes and pretty much every caller is voting for labour, all seem to be on one benefit or another, looking for more under labour. Talk Radio on the other hand more Conservative and Reform, workers who pay tax, or retired people who've paid tax
  9. ah ok, what's your state pension forecast? if i added the 4 years mine would be £220 a week
  10. Why is yours 37 years? mine seems to be 35
  11. This just hit the news again, worth considering if you have gaps, it's not big money but looks worth it. If you log in to your HMRC account (i use the app) it's much easier to see the NI contribution years paid, pension forecast, missing years. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/cost-of-living/martin-lewis-urges-state-pensioners-29363415 https://www.gov.uk/voluntary-national-insurance-contributions/deadlines If i added another 4 years contributions to the max 35 years, about £3,200, over 10 years I'd receive an extra £10,400 ignoring inflation
  12. Yep, i bought my 18k BTU TCL on your recommendation and yes it's very good, much quieter than i expected, in fact so quiet i hear the next door condo AC instead of mine. It was 11k baht, bargain
  13. Of course unwarranted but the LBs can get abusive when someone is clearly not interested
  14. The LBs are too pushy, pushes some guys too far
  15. hence why trying a video call appointment might be a good idea, they'd love you for it, less demand on them, it's the face to face appointments that are difficult
  16. Yes, I don't think they keep track of people, patient's do video calls these days, maybe worth keeping them up
  17. The Cigna insurance does sound too good to be true, maybe it's Cigna Thailand. Also taking someone on at 76 has not been mentioned before, is it in the policy doc? have your pre-existing conditions been excluded? if not they will just make them up when you claim
  18. It may be a different version of bignok, every day he gets closer to being bignok
  19. You said you owned that one, you forget what you've said
  20. Common fees are around 35 baht a metre a month, 1-3 bedrooms could be 50m² to 200m² so up to you. As well as common fees there can be hidden supplementary fees voted in at the AGM to pay for large expenditure like lifts
  21. There's a filter shop on Thepprasit just before PTT, I'd go and ask them, they speak English
  22. Probably linked to their high 40+% obesity rates, they love to stuff their faces
  23. Do they look anorexic? are they in grass fields?
  24. Where's better? the other Pattaya site is far worse, more like a library now
