If you swift A$ to Bangkok Bank you will get their exchange rate on settlement date. More than likely Wise will have better exchange rate, but hard to compare as it's not the same day
Yes it's a tricky one to compare as the swift rate won't be known until days later. If GBP was strengthening it may be worth choosing swift, if falling maybe Wise would be better value
Yeah i use it infrequently and like i say 6 months ago the app changed and defaulted to higher fee without an obvious way to change it, i just repeated a previous transfer, yes the change you mention is another change
5-6 hours is enough, stressing about it makes it worse. I go to sleep early, wake up early, get up 4am, if i wake up early 3am i get up, don't fight it
I noticed this also 6 months ago, had to find a workaround to avoid the fee, now there's a drop down menu so easy, sneaky behaviour from Wise, really it should default to previous method used
Pretty much anywhere out of Pattaya, often towards, Wat Wan, Silverlake, Ban Chang, Sattahip. Main roads are safer than you think. Here's an example last week
You can use Wise also so not swift but you need to plan carefully to ensure its processed as International, max transfer 2m baht equiv. Sending Euro by swift would be safer but probably cost more, most choose this option
You have lots of experience cycling in Pattaya area? how much do you do?
The reason i ask is on this forum people like giving advice with no or little experience, i notice it mostly with cycling and motorbike threads or even nutrition threads, fat people giving advice 555
