  1. Yes the 2 year visa includes visa exempt. I've not seen any reports anywhere of someone being rejected, of course 5 year is something else
  2. Getting a licence early makes sense, obviously if here only for a few weeks a year i wouldn't bother, but usually those initial weeks leads to months then years. I think i got mine when i stayed 3-4 months a year. Police hate it when i show them my licence, any feigned politeness gone
  3. Some insurers such as Pacific Cross don't cover cataracts
  4. no, the reason people queue is to get in there quicker, let us know how you get on
  5. 8.30am is late, probably people queuing from 7.30am. Recent posts suggest the appointment could be a few weeks later
  6. Yep, as said on the other thread
  7. yeah looks easy the garage did it in 5 seconds, saved me doing it
  8. go there to get an appointment first
  9. A garage adjusted the freeplay for me for free now perfect
  10. Tyres are good, only done 200km the last week but no issues, change them if you do have issues, no point before
  11. Often not as simple as that, in Pattaya they'll want to see owners ID, plus the fine if late, maybe 2k? hassle anyway, something the owner or agent should be doing
  12. which consulate closed? I've not heard of anyone being denied boarding (its usually airline that checks), so it "should" be ok, of course a visa would stop you worrying, just get your story straight, maybe book a flight out of Thailand, cancelable flight
  13. Don't rent there, it's just hassle if the owner is too stupid to know about TM30
  14. I guess so, 2x synopharms, 2x astrozeneca, 1x Pfizer, oh yea 1x covid
  15. Original tyres are fine, maybe unless racing round a track?
  16. Is Pfizer second dose still recommended? the adverse reactions seemed to be from 2nd dose. I've had 5 vaccines already so I'm not anti-vax
  17. x ray usually shows trapped wind
  18. You seem to be talking about Bangkok, this thread is about Pattaya where first 90 day report isn't a deal breaker, also visa exempt is ok
  19. As article says it needs strict enforcement incl those with no licence otherwise it's a waste of time
  20. Years ago i crashed my bike in UK, not my fault, anyway my Dad and i bent the forks back to straight using a plank of wood old fashion style, rode it fine after
  21. Any clinic on Buakhao will charge about 150 baht, it's not a real health check so won't be expensive, good money for nothing
  22. haven't you only been with April a year or so? i kind of expected them to dig deeper, see what happens, must be stressful which is the last thing you want when have a health issue
  23. Annual policies are restricted to consecutive days 30, 45, 60, think i got 90 once, no more. You can get travel insurance \backpacker insurance for up to 18 months (consecutively), sometimes a max age limit 45, probably varies per country
  24. Straighten it, see how it rides after
