Nattawut Ends His Role as Pheu Thai Family Director
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well, he may be in for a surprise tomorrow and then we’ll see where he ends up going. Nothing is set in stone yet, ha, not even sand, so we can all just sit back and watch the show with him tomorrow. -
EV sales in Thailand to hit 50,000 despite auto loan regulations
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thailand is not ready for EV cars yet. Hopefully soon they will get more infrastructure to charge them up and get the prices down to an affordable price. -
I love Koh Kood(Kut) either way. It’s quite and beautiful. Hopefully this doesn’t change too much. The only issue I have is getting around on a motorbike. Other than that expect to enjoy a peaceful time touring the waterfalls , beautiful waters and huge trees. I always enjoy a break from the world when I go there. Hopefully you will too, but I guess that depends on how many people are now going there.

Boy that was some expensive fuel. -
Trump: Biden’s response to Maui fires ‘disgraceful’
jcmj replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Of course he loves to bring up the blame game, but bringing up Covid and how it was handled is a far stretch. We’re still waiting to see the outcome of all those so called “vaccines “ that are being well hidden from the mainstream media. I’m sure there will be lawsuit commercials galore in the next few years. I guess we’ll just keep playing the tit for tat games in the meantime till we get a decent president that isn’t knocking on deaths door. -
They need to have a campaign to let all Thais know that they can drop their unwanted or stillborn babies off without repercussions. Too many young girls are having babies and don’t know what to do, or how to handle them and support them. They need to have an opportunity to do the right thing and not just dump their child in the trash. I can’t imagine how anyone could do that, but it seems to be happening more and more everyday. Give the child a chance, or proper burial. They didn’t ask to be born and certainly don’t deserve to be dumped. Sad all around.

Rolls-Royce in the Spotlight: Repair Costs Unveiled after Rear-End Collision
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Bet the guy who hit him will have an uphill battle with his insurance company, if he has any. They will do all they can to get out of this situation plus the cap on the amount paid for fixing it will probably not even come close. Now that’s an Aw <deleted> moment that the driver will never forget. -
They are getting into bed with anyone who will join them to get the win. Disgusting. This is not what the people want.

Cabinet Approves Opium and Magic Mushroom Trial for Medicine
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Hopefully that lower cost will be available to the public for these new drugs for depression and pain. -
Guess nobody knows. Would be nice to know when and where.

Trash bins with cigarette sand snuffers on top are not expensive and would reduce the amount of trash on the street, but I don’t think that most Thais care as they throw their food bags out everywhere as soon as they finish eating. Pollution is not well understood here or even a second thought for many.

I’ve found that the private hospitals in Thailand, mainly Bumrungrad and Bangkok hospitals are very good. Of course I have Thai insurance that covers anything in patient. The staff are very helpful and the doctors I have are top notch. I guess everyone has their own opinion, but I think they are much better than many in the states. Plus the cost of insurance is much lower. No matter where you are, you really should check out the doctors credentials and success stories from friends or colleagues recommendations.

Hopes for Pheu Thai PM fade as conservative parties eye power
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It will be what it will be, but it certainly won’t be democratic. That’s long gone in the former Land of Smiles. -
I hope that MFP doesn’t stoop down to the level that the other parties have, especially the backstabbing PT

Weak Exports Pose Challenge for Thai Economic Recovery
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Lower the Baht value and you will see the exports increase. -
Rice price hikes worry restaurant owners, some pass costs to diners
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Thai rice farmers are making more selling it abroad, so they want the same amount to keep their profits up. Sad to say, but money talks much more than ethics. -
Cabinet approves increased medical coverage for serious head injuries
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
They should just introduce workers compensation for those injured on the job, especially since most employers don’t give them the proper protections against injuries. -
New government to decide on more cuts in power rates
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Quite selling the gas and oil produced here and give the people here a break. They have it, but make more selling it, which is typically the case with most big companies. They are not helping either by not helping more people get solar panels. All down to greed. -
Thailand targets long-haul tourists with new US, Saudi Arabia offices
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
They need to work with the airlines to make it more affordable to fly to Thailand from the USA and give some incentives. Just opening up an office to promote Thailand in a couple of cities will not help. They also need to factor in the fact that most working people only get 2 weeks off for holidays and find a way to provide affordable package plans to get the most out of their trip.
